"Horrible experience with this so-called "company". They answer emails with a single word response, "order #?", "call us".. is this a professional way of doing business?
I placed an order for a watch, didn't get a confirmation email. 2 days after i placed an order, i contacted them saying that I will file a transaction dispute with American Express. They immidiately sent me an order # with the UPS tracking #. Now 3 days later, UPS label still shows as not accepted by UPS, which means, they just printed the label so they have a "proof" that they're sending out my package. I'm filling a dispute with AMEX now and will not accept/sign for the UPS package.

update: it has been 2 weeks now, and they have not refunded my money.

update: Oct 1. - Seller said ["At the end he was doing a charge back so we had no choice but to reroute the package."] Chargeback was initiated on 9/21, 8 days after seller has intercepted the package. Still no signs of refund. -- DO NOT trust these positive reviews, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere, otherwise, you'll regret it.

"TRASH PLACE! They sent me a defective watch, wore it about twice, then the bracelet fell off. I tried contacting them but their phone is always off saying that they are "observing a holiday"... I don't know what holiday they have been observing for this long now... eventually reached the operator after weeks of trying... their 30 day money back guarantee is a lie! They say that once you take the tags off the watch, they don't accept it back. I told them that they sold me a defective watch and the guy on the phone said that they only have warranty on the movement and the fact that the bracelet broke is not their problem. This place is a a missive lie and a ripoff.

I got sold a defective watch and they are refusing to do anything about it! I will be filing with the BBB and filling out reviews everywhere I can find so more people don't get scammed by you!!!

"Purchased a watch, site clearly said available to ship in 5-7 days. It was then placed on back order and I was told to wait ten days for it to ship. I waited 11 days and canceled the order. It was purchased as a gift so I cannot continue to wait. "

"I ordered a watch Oct 28, 2011, advertised "ships in 5 business days" and was told it would actually be 1-2 weeks. I emailed back to confirm and was told this was accurate. Then, not 3 days later was sent another email saying it may be another 3-5 weeks, also "not being guaranteed by Christmas." This was explained as a "massive nationwide back order" but when I went to my local jewelers, they said there was no such issue and they could have it in stock within a couple days. If I had not already paid for the watch through Google checkout - immediately charged I might add, I would have bought it at the jewelers. So I will continue to wait for my watch, maybe it'll be here by Christmas..... At least the customer service rep was prompt in their response.
***UPDATE*** Dec 16, 2011
Since the review, I cencelled the order on Dec 4, 2011. Google checkout has NOT refunded my money even though it says "your card was not charged" and at this point I am out of pocket $355 USD. If the issue is not resolved by the end of the week I amm persuing legal action against Certified Watch store, and Google checkout. Do not order from this company and do not believe the reviews. They are the worst online company I have ever dealt with and I will NEVER shop there again.

"I had been shopping around for some time for a Movado Museum watch for myself. I fell in love with the solid black with white hands model 606255 regular price $495 their price $293. It's a stunningly beautiful watch that arrived in the time specified in perfect condition. The only fly in the ointment is the lack of a Movado warranty card with it. I called to inquire and they said it was explained on their site in the warranty section (it is) that they warrant the watches themselves but it also says right in the Movado section that they DO come with warranty cards. This is my fourth Movado and everything looks perfect...but I'm tempted to have it verified at a jewelers. The lack of warranty card really concerns me.

I posted a review on their site stating my concerns about the lack of a Movado warranty card and they removed the wording on that one single model but none of the other Movado's.

BEWARE!!! They DO NOT OFFER legitimate factory warranty cards regardless of what it says on their site. They also did not post the review of my watch I bought from them.

BECAUSE OF THIS AND THEIR REFUSAL TO RESPOND HERE I WILL NOT BUY FROM FROM THEM AGAIN.

"paid for a new item not getting new, missing manual.box, tags, look like a display or some one been use, call customer services they said we sent it exactly as we get it from our suppliers did not inspect item meet their company standard then sent to customer as they state on their web site.shipping speed was fast, not a authorize dealer end up getting shorter warranty and ten fifteen bucks cheaper on the price, not worth it and not recommend do business with this company."

"AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I placed an order on Friday April 26 2013 from the website it said it would ship in 5 to 7 days then about five hours later I received an email stating my order had been canceled "Due to unexpected customer demand for this item, our inventory was depleted prior to your order being processed so we are unable to fulfill this item as requested. " so I started looking online again for this watch and again it came up on certified watch stores website but now for $634.02 instead of the $259.99 price I placed the order for so I decided to call customer service and was on hold for 26 minutes so during that time i started reading all the recent reviews which comes in handy since they respond to these and seems their terms and conditions are in effect and can change depending on the complaint you have so finally after waiting 26 minutes I spoke to customer service to see about ordering the watch and the gentleman told me it was in stock so I questioned him about the pricing since I just placed the order on Friday and explained to him what happened and he told me I wasn't being strait forward and I shouldn't have called in to place the order if i wasnt really wanting to buy it which i want the watch at the price it was listed for on friday so I asked to speak to a supervisor about it and the customer service guy kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me talk so I was transferred to Kevin and was told that they just have a protocol to go by and say that it is in stock and when the order is placed that's when they check to see if they actually have it In stock and they have to call the supplier to see if it can be filled so Kevin called the suppiler and GUESS WHAT they didnt have it in stock so I told him that recently on 12/27/12 there was a similar issue and they offered that customer the same watch at the same price once it came back in stock so i told him id like that done for me as well but i really doubt that this will ever be in stock and my order filled because as Kevin put it "it was a phenomal price that it was offered at" so with that being said i think thy realized it was a loss for their bottom line to sell this watch to me and again Kevin reminded me of all the terms and conditions the website has about placing an order (be sure you read every line). So as of right now I am awaiting an email to let me know when this comes back into stock which I highly doubt they will fill this order ever. I really believe as would most customers that someone had to go in and change the price and I really think most customers would assume if they changed the price after I placed the order that was "out of stock" they would have taken this off website instead of just increasing the price....something seems a little off with this company!!"

"Only order from this company if you are prepared to be treated badly and never get what you ordered. I received an order confirmation followed by a cancellation followed by a notice that my order had been shipped followed by a cancellation again. My paypal account was charged and refunded SIX times. It took about a week and NO WATCH. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL REGRET IT."

I ordered a watch on November 9th for a birthday gift for my husband in December (planning ahead) from Amazon via Certified Watch Store. By the time the birthday came around and I gave the watch as a gift, the 30 day policy, unfortunately had passed. The watch, although beautiful, had a clasp that was not staying locked. My husband tried to wear it and within 5-20 minutes, depending on what he was doing the band popped open. When I called the company in December, they mentioned as they do in their response that the band is not within warranty and therefore there is nothing they can do. I was hoping for some assistance or offering of a solution. I did not insist on resolution to equate to refund. I asked for that as an option but also would have been happy with credit towards a different purchase given that I have the watch in new condition with tags and box. I was happy to work with them to try and find alternative solutions but unfortunately during my first call – they said nothing could be done.

What that means for me is money spent on a $450 watch that is un-usable since the band will not stay on and this watch needs a particular band to fit the bezel. I tried a new longer band, same version, in case where my husband was wearing on his arm would make a difference (he’s tall), another $75. The watch still would not stay clasped on my husband’s wrist.

When I followed up with emails or inquiring if there was anything the company could do because I had exhausted options I could think of, I was met with no reply. Finally I posted a negative review (March) and have since had a response.

I strongly disagree with company’s claims for “excellence in customer service” and wish for “customer satisfaction” - the majority of the time I’ve spent on the phone or email has been to push me to remove or change my review. I was only addressed BECAUSE I had posted a negative review. As I mentioned to customer service representative, if they spent half as much time just trying to help me resolve my issue, then I wouldn’t have posted anything at all. I also reiterated that if they were to help me resolve my issue, I’d be happy to either remove entirely or update to reflect a positive resolution.

As mentioned by management, they said they’d make an exception and look at the watch to see if there is anything they can do –although I would need to incur shipping, and this is after 3 months of unresponsiveness. Unfortunately for the hassle and frustration of this entire process, what was offered was meager and sadly a bit too little too late. Alternatively they said I could go to a local jeweler (again) and find out if there was anything they could do.

In the end, I had to get creative and figure it out myself.

If you want to order a watch from here - ensure you will be able to try the watch on immediately within the 30 day window - do NOT wait to give it to someone for any reason because if there is an issue, the only resolution is returning within the 30 days. Outside that window and you have very little recourse. Their shipping process overall was fine. Anything beyond that is not worth the risk for an expensive investment.

"This has been a terrible experience right from the start. As stated in an earlier review my watch did not come to me in the proper way--no signature required etc. The real problems came, however, when I experienced the absolute rudeness of customer service. Instead of helping me I was told continually it is not their fault--nothing was ever their fault. I wasn't looking to "blame" just for help. Every time I called it was met with the customer service rep bullying me trying to "convince" me to change my review from 1 star to 4 so I wouldn't "hurt his company." Clearly more concerned about his store ratings than helping a customer. He ( the customer rep) called me and told me to call my credit card company, that the refund was there. Again, he called me and told me what to do, so I called and the money was not refunded yet. When I called back to inform him of this, he hung up on me. Yes--he literally hung up on me. The only good thing I can say is, although it was several days later, I did get my refund."

"Beware of Certified Watch Store… Not Trustworthy
I ordered a Citizens Eco-drive watch from Certified Watch Store on Feb. 13, 2014. After waiting a month for the watch, I cancelled the order on March 12.
My Visa card bill came in the mail on April 12. Upon inspecting my bill, I saw a charge for $310.50 from Certified Watch Store that was dated March 12 (the day I cancelled the order) . I had cancelled the order a month earlier and never received anything from them.
I called my credit card company and they said they would take it off my bill. OK, but I was upset that Certified Watch Store would try to rip me off for $310.50. I called them and asked why I was charged for an order that was cancelled and they never shipped. Their response was “it must have been a glitch in their system.” Really!!! I wonder how many “glitches” they have made in the past that perhaps customers did not notice on their credit card bill?
I would never order anything from these guys, and advise anyone who has (cancelled an order) to check your credit card bill.

"The Citizen Box came dented and squished. Certainly not the look I would like when giving a gift of a $300.00 Citizen watch! I hope I do not have any issues with the watch itself. Plus, the free gift earrings were broken. A replacement would be much appreciated. I am very concerned that the whole box may have been dropped! !The UPS brown box it was shipped in was fine. "
