"I can't say enough good things about Chewy.com
They treat us like family.
I am so grateful for their consistent and reliable service especially during the pandemic.
I never have to worry whether their food or medications will arrive in time.
They were also kind to send us flowers and a card when our loved one passed.
It is the little things that make us loyal."
"I ordered a birdhouse that was delivered broken, chipped and water stained. I sent an email in which replacement was sent out and was told it would be delivered by 7/20-22. According to tracking it won't be delivered til the 26th. When I inquired again I was told it hadn't even been shipped yet And was due to ship out on the 26th. Every email I sent I got a different answer from a different person. This was my first time I ordered from your company and it will be my last. My original purchase date was 7/12. Replacement 7/19"
"I placed my order for heartworm prevention for two of my dogs on July 13. They assured me that they would contact my vet for authorization. I immediately notify my vet after placing my Chewy order so that they know to expect a request. After a few days without an update, I call Chewy’s customer service for the second time. They tell me that they haven’t heard back from my vet. So I call my vet. My vet states that they have not received anything from Chewy, whether it be via email, fax, or call. My vet also firmly states that they only accept calls about authorizations during certain business hours — I prominently relay this information to Chewy. They reassure me yet again that they will have their pharmacy CALL the vet.
It’s now July 21, a week since I’ve placed my order when Chewy sends me an email about my order soon to be canceled due to lack of Rx authorization. I frantically call their customer service as well as my vet to see what the hold up is, especially since my dogs are going unprotected from heartworms due to their delay! The vet verifies that they still haven’t received a call. Chewy then changes their story to say that they didn’t call my vet. Instead, Chewy sent a request to my vet via an online PORTAL. I specifically stated to them that my vet will only accept phone call authorization requests. Moreover, the request over the Portal is deemed useless as my vet doesn’t have access to that since their change in business ownership.
I call Chewy for the countless time and spoke to a rude male customer service representative from Dallas that said to me, “I’m surprised Chewy hadn’t canceled your order sooner as this request for authorization has carried on longer than it should have. Your order will be canceled, and that’s just what’s going to happen since there’s no authorization. You can get your vet to call us.” Excuse yourself. Not only did I get reassurance from previous representatives that they would make a phone call to request authorization, but also, it is Chewy’s/their pharmacy’s job to reach out to the clinic/doctor. Not only did they not place phone calls as claimed, but they refused to call the vet after repeated reminders in order to get the authorization. Had I known the process would be a lengthy waste of my time receiving the run around, and that they wouldn’t actually do phone call requests for authorizations, then I would have gone somewhere else instead of having my dogs be at risk without protection. "
"I was a pretty satisfied Chewy customer for a long time until my last, & I do mean LAST order. I place an order on 7/4/21. A couple of hours later I realized I forgot something & called to see if it could be added (to avoid another $49 min. for free shipping). They said no. I then asked if I could cancel the order so I could re-do it with the add-on. Also no. Too close to shipping they said. I contacted Chewy & they arranged for the shipping to be waived on the add-on, so all was well, or so I thought. Both orders on the way, right? Wrong! Turns out after I was led to believe everything was good, Chewy yanked the original order back from FedEx & I was sitting here waiting for a package that was never going to come--no notice given to me whatsoever. My dog has terminal cancer. There is only 1 kind of dog food she will eat & it is, for some reason, hard to get. Chewy put me in a horrible position re: this food & I ended up getting gouged by their parent company to get the food. Still waiting to hear from management re: how this cluster happened. No sincere apology given--more like form letter pap. I will choke if I ever hear another word about how much Chewy cares about animals."
"Impressive! Was going to order from Amazon but checked Chewy first. The Chewy prices were much, much better and the promised delivery beat Amazon's. I placed my order in the morning and it was shipped the same day. Delivery was fast and trouble free. Thanks Chewy."
"Signed up for chewy so I didn't have to lift my cats food and treats. Since I signed up they have only deliver to my home once. I am handicapped and thought that this was a good way to go. But if they delivere to my home I must now drive to pick it up. Now touching my product 3 times. And getting crushed product. My cats treats have come open and crushed."
"We lost our miniature dachshund a few days ago but had already ordered her a ramp so she could get on the bed. When we called Chewy and told them that we needed to send the ramp back and why. The guy was so great. He told us to donate the ramp and that a full refund would be issued. Then a day later a bouquet of flowers came from Chewy saying they were sorry for our loss. What a complete surprise.
What company in this day and time does this!!
Chewy has our business forever."
"Shipping took forever and kept getting delayed called them 3 times and said it was due to warehouse. When you pay shipping to be 1-3 business and it takes over a week that is unacceptable. Will never order from Chewy again. "
"I always have problems when it comes to the prescription of our dog. I refilled the medication and asked to ship it as as they can which the staff did and was told I can have it in 3 days. I’ve been waiting & waiting and it’s been 5 days and they send an email saying they need a prescription from the veterinarian and that they send the request to them. I even called our vet left a message that we need a new prescription. So I called chewy again and said, they never heard from our vet. And finally they told me to pick up the prescription and mail it to them because our vet don’t do the fax anymore. So I went to our vet which is 12 miles from our house only to find out that there is no request for a refill of my dog meds. So i called chewy again and have them talk to the staff of the clinic. And I got the prescription, mailed it to them and to make the story short, I still don’t have the meds which I requested over a week ago. I called chewy and told them that I mailed the rx and they said I have to wait til they get the prescription. Wouldn’t be easier if I fax it?...which they don’t allow. I don’t know where’s the fault on this."
"I've been using Chewy for at least 10 years. In that time I've had maybe three orders screwed up. Every single time, Chewy resolved it immediately and completely in my favor. Once they miss-shipped the wrong item forcing me to go to the local store to buy food at a higher price since I was out of food. When I told Chewy, they not only fixed the original wrong order, they sent me an extra bag for free to compensate me for having to go to the store to buy a bag. This was many years ago, and possibly they are not quite that aggressively good. But today I called them because my order came short one bag of food. There were a few follow up questions, but they basically immediately sent me a replacement bag. I just don't understand how people can be having the problems they are claiming to have. They are cheerful, customer focused, and crazy fast in responding to problems. Shop with confidence."
"This company never ceases to amaze me. They have excellent customer service, their shipping is fast, and they go above and beyond. I will give my business to Chewy over any other dog company time in and time out. "

"Every time I get delivery all of the cans are crushed and they expect me to ship the damaged cans back to them."
"Thanks to chewy for the exceptional customer service. My blue tick coonhound Radar had been eating special diet food from chewy and he lost weight. I lost my Radar due to a brain lesion and called Chewy and the gentleman that I talked was so nice and sincere. Chewy sent me a bouquet of flowers for the loss of my Radar and credited me for a brand new bag of food and told me to donate it. If and when I get another dog, I will definitely be using Chewy.com. Another plus thing is dog food delivered right to your house. "
"I ordered. DAYS later, they send an email saying that the item is out of stock, they cancelled my order. Called customer service. Item is miraculously in stock, but had to reorder. Customer service horrible. I will never do business with these clowns again, everything they have can be had cheaper on WalMarts online site."
