"After attempting to provide a Clinic Name, which is required to request Pharmacy items, the site kept giving a "Circular" feedback loop telling me to add or chose a Clinic Name. After numerous loops obtaining the same useless response I contacted on-line chat for assistance. Being a CHAT session I was stupidly unconcerned that the incorrect Clinic Name was being assigned or that any other required information was not being asked for (Clinic FAX number for one). After a couple of days I checked on the order status as my pet was approaching the date (6 more days) her heartworm medication would be administered. I went of Chewy.com website only to notice the Clinic name being incorrect so I called 1(***-***-**** to see what the "hold-up" was and get the Clinic Name corrected.
I then was told I MUST PROVIDE ORIGINAL PRESCRIPTION SCRIPT BY MAIL! No where in the "process" was this made known...In fact the Prescription order submission says " Faster service have Chewy contact your vet for approval" .
I went to my pet's clinic and got prescriptions but Chewy would not accept Fax in of them .. I mailed them, waited, checked Chewy site every day & today got an email "reminding" me to send in my prescriptions. I did, SEVEN(7) days ago!
CHEWY is not worth the time I've invested . Their prices are NO BETTER than local PetSmart, Petco or Pet Supplies+..
My pet deserves better.
I'll give local business my trade. You probably should too."
"My dog died this morning. One of the things I had to do was to cancel his recurring order with chewy.com. Then I noticed that his last shipment hadn't even been opened because in his last two weeks, he hadn't been eating much. I decided I would try to return it.
Their return policy says nothing about such situations, but I figured it probably happens a lot. I wasn't hopeful. I didn't think they would accept the return; I'm in no condition to fight for it; I was just going to go along with it if they said no. I went through the process of requesting to return it, which was surprisingly easy. A short time later, I received an e-mail that reduced my wife to tears. I had no such problem with it, being the manly-man that I am (excuse me, it's dusty in here, I have to go open a window).
The e-mail informed us that they had given us a full refund. Further, it encouraged us to do whatever we wanted with the product, like donate it to a shelter (or whatever else it said).
I'll be glad to give Chewy.Com my business as soon as I have it in me to get another dog."
" CHEWY-
So I started using these guys for Pet products about a month ago. My order are usually around $120-$150 in size.
The first order arrived in a condition that:
looked like someones returns that were opened (flea meds and some other things...Called the company and asked for a supervisor, waited on hold for the obligatory 45 minutes, finally a supervisor got on and fixed the problem by re-sending the materials that were messed up.
2nd order- I cancelled it later in the day, but they shipped any. No big deal I just donated to a local shelter.
3rd (and final order). Ordered it online 2 days ago. Got the order confirm, today , 2 days later, no ship notice. Called and spoke with customer care- hmm not sure, it has not been boxed yet.WHAT??? I needed that like yesterday. Asked for supervisor, waited on hold for another 40 min. D Robinson, supervisor gets on and tells me , oh so sorry I will check and get back to you. I told her I needed to hear from her today else I will cancel the order and find another company. 4Hours later....waiting....waiting....guess what? NO CALL. NOTHING.
Called again, spoke to a care person, asked for a supervisor, waited on hold AGAIN for 42 minutes, finally he gets on and tells me the order is being processed. WHAT? What about notifying the customer like they said they would. The previous supervisor said she would absolutely call me back no matter what. Just like they don't give a $hit. I told this supervisor about our exchange and his excuse,"well maybe she got busy with another customer"....SERIOUSLY?? What crap.
He asked what he could do to fix the situation since I now have to wait another 3 days for my order to arrive. I told him expedite the shipment! Well....we can't do that because it is in process....BS.
OK...Well guess what 3x strikes and YOU'RE OUT!!!
I AM DONE WITH THEIR EXCUSES... WAIT TIMES ON HOLD AND THE BS SHIPMENT EXCUSES.
If I were you I would find another supplier. These guys are going to end up like PETS.COM (DOA).

"This is a great place to get pet supplies and a good price and they have free delivery."
"Rick Calder, Chewy manager in Florida, was my previous manager at Disney in Seattle. He was verbally abusive to contractors and wanted everybody to know he was in charge.
Permanent Disney employees did not like him. Very controlling personality, everything must be done his way, no reasoning, and would regularly charge into our operations room and start commanding people. Rick has very bad people and interpersonal skills.
I'm quite surprised Chewy would hire him. Had they asked previous employees what he is like, there would have likely been very negative feedback. Not a single person I worked with had anything good to say."
"I have had problems with my last two autoships. They ship out the wrong product and when I call them up its always a big hassle. My last order they shipped the wrong dog food and Stephanie L. from customer service acted like it was my fault. They had the order correct in the system but shipped me the wrong food and refused to ship out the correct food until I repacked the wrong food and sent it back to them. There service has gone down hill since I started ordering from them."
"I make a order from them and they would not ship me what I bough or refund me. CS hung up on me more then once and would not help."
"We live in the country more than an hour from the nearest major city. We tried stocking up on pet supplies when we went to the city, but, with four large dogs, that became impractical. For the last few years, we have been getting auto-shipments of dog food from Chewys and we’ve been pleased. We changed brands recently after the report of ingredients in some dog foods that caused health issues in larger breeds. Switching was easy.
Chewys cemented our relationship today. A few days ago, one of our married daughters had to put down her dog, which had been part of their family for 16 years. They were also auto-ship customers and our daughter was crying when she called to cancel the auto-shipments. A little while later, a bouquet of flowers was delivered to her house with a beautiful sympathy note.
Totally unexpected and it blew all of us away. "
"I order cat food for my mother in law because she is almost 80 and Fedx was delivering the cat food at her door. But on my last order Fedx left it by the street. My last order was two 35 pound bags of cat food plus one 13.5 pound bag. I was so disappointed. I have tried reaching chewys about it but couldnt. If someone hadnt come by her home it would have just stayed by the street. Her home is about a quarter of a mile away from the street. "
"I have a prescription for my dog. It is to help with his aging-related heart burn and sour stomach. We are set to go on a missionary trip for 10 months. We ordered the medicine for him from Chewy.com 1 MONTH early and they kept saying they faxed in the RX verification to my vet but my vet never got it. My vet printed out the history for the entire 10 days after my initial order and NOT ONCE did Chewy RX team fax them. Also they said they CALLED my vet but again, the vet printed out the call logs and NOT ONCE did Chewy try calling them. I am not sure WHY the Chewy Customer Service agents kept lying but we had DOUBLE PROOF they didn't do ANYTHING. Now we have to cancel and RUSH an order from somewhere else because Chewy STILL hasn't done anything and we leave in 1 week. Pathetic. Will NEVER order a RX for my pets again. Other things we ordered that were repacked treats and toys arrived QUICK. Chewy has an UNethical business model. BUYER BEWARE!"
"Monique in Customer Service was extremely helpful! I needed to return my order and order an additional item (a cat door) and Monique was a delight and made the process very easy. "
"My baby girl Yuki passed away and I called Chewy to cancel her the order for her prescription medication. Two days ago I received a beautiful flower arrangement and a heartfelt message.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

"Been getting our dog’s insulin autoshipped every 2 weeks for a year, until the Covid-19. My vet will not authorize a prescription over the phone so I have to go to their office to pick up a new RX. Then I mail it into Chewy. I even paid extra one time to get it there faster. When I called they couldn’t find the script. Mailed them another one and it took them over 2 weeks to mail me the insulin. My dog needs his insulin. I found out that Costco has it $7 cheaper and they always have it in stock. GOOD RIDDANCE CHEWY!"
"After several years with Chewy It is with regret I leave them!
My last couple of contacts for orders -Medicines (Trifexis and Vetoryl) - food (vet ordered gastrointestinal ) have been totally unsatisfactory. It looks like they have got the the point they could not coordinate a sunset. I have gotten different stories from everybody I talk to. Seems like the pharmacy is out of the loop with everybody else. I have just quit trying to deal with them and an getting new prescriptions for everything and going to PETCO. When I did I found that PETCO is cheaper anyway.Chewy still owe me about forty bucks for a screwed up prescription order that the lady in Florida said would be paid by the pharmacy. Forget that -the left hand knowth not what the right hand doeth. Don't write them off because I am though. They did good for years. "
"I have been using Chewy.com for several years for my 4 pets. Food, toys, prescriptions, everything I've needed I have been able to get from Chewy.
Just over a week ago I lost my 15 year old Buddy. I called chewy to cancel his prescription shipment.
Today, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a condolence card from chewy. It was the most wonderful thing a company can do for their customers. They have a customer as long as I have pets.
Thank you Chewy."
