"Recently, I purchased a Seagate 2TB Expansion External Hard Drive. After shopping around I found CompUSA to offer the best price. The hard drive requires no software to install, just drag and drop. I love that! Shopping was quick and easy and my hard drive was waiting for me at my door when I got home in a couple of days!
For just a few dollars more that the cost of a flash drive I am able to have a ton of storage. I plan on downloading stuff from my iMac to send to my brother's family in CA. He can then clear the material I sent and download their pictures, etc. from his CPU. I think it's a great way to save time and effort; much better than sending many emails back and forth. The hard drive can load while you sleep! How cool is that!

"The CompUSA website is easy to navigate. The checkout was just as easy and gave many options on shipping. The Garmin that I ordered arrived on time and was packed well. I can't review the actual product at this time as it is a Christmas present!"

"Just like the add say's new hard drive.
Just I never installed a SATA Hard Drive. There are No instructions and No connectors. On the Hard Drive there are three places to connect conectors I had an adapter for IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE which I used but it only used two connectors one went to the power and the other the adapter so I have a free conector that I don't have an adapter for don't know if you need to use it or not but when I turned on the computer nothing happened It did not find the Hard Drive and windows XP installation disk didn't either so I am purchasing a 3.5" eSATA Enclosure for it to use outside the computer hope that works.
I received the case for the hard drive installed it and got the computer to see it threw settings-control panel-administrative tools-computer managment-storage-disk management once there you had to format the new drive once done it worked fine.

"Purchased two Gateway DX4840 Computers and one Gateway 24" LED monitor on 11-20-10. Service personnel was excellent. Service Dept loaded software and made recover disks for both computers.

Picked up computers today, 11-21-10 and neither computer works. Called 1-800 number and it was extremely difficult to understand this foreigner. I did understand that either hard drive and/or mother board was bad. Hard to believe after CompUSA checked and loaded software on both machines yesterday. Finally terminated telephone call with service as I asked for someone else who spoke better English but I guess she didn't understand that either.

I then called the store who transfered me to service and was immediately place on hold. I held, listening to their music, for 35 minutes and I finally hung up.

Now here I sit with two new computers, $2,700 less in my checking account and do not have working computers.

I will call local store again tomorrow and hope to be able to report more favorable results after then.

"Ordered the LG 32LD550. I got an unbelievable price. Nobody came close. The shipment arrive as scheduled. I did not open it yet becuse I am giving the TV as a gift to my daughter in New York. I called customer service and they told me if she has ANY issues with it they will handle them with her. I do not expect any problems because the box was in perfect condition. I was just surprised that UPS left it sitting on my front porch?!"

"Ordering from Compusa was easy and quick. I would order from them again. Shipping was easy. The only drawback is the receiver I bought doesn't work. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly. I suspect Compusa will be easier to deal with than the manufacturer."

"I recently ordered a Sony VCR to DVD burner from CompUSA. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the order as I only live part-time in the US and would not have received the item prior to my leaving the States. I inquired with customer service as to whether CompUSA ships to Canada but sadly they do not. I was generally satisfied with the customer service I received when I called. Prior to ordering online, I went to the nearest CompUSA store to see if they sold the item in-store. I was disappointed with the lack of service as I spent about 15 minutes trying to find the item and no one asked me if I needed help. I had to try to track someone down to get the help I needed. They did not carry the item in the store. Overall, I would say that the customer service of CompUSA could be better."

"Went into a local CompUSA store to buy a power supply for a PC. Found lots of choices (excellent choices, and boxes contained all the information that I needed to make the correct purchase) at excellent prices. So far, so good.
Then it all fell apart.

Went to check out. One line, with just 2 people ahead of me, served by 2 cashiers. Great, I thought. Except that something was hold up the process of checking out the two customers. After about a minute of inactivity, I glanced at my watch. Nine minutes later, a rep from the customer service desk came to get the first person still waiting-that's right, nine minutes and they had not checked out a single person! The store was crowded with sales reps, but I guess they don't help customers at the register, as they were mostly just standing around looking bored-I believe they are strictly commissioned sales people and don't perform any useful service. After about 3-4 more minutes, it was my turn at the customer service desk-the people at the registers were still waiting to finish check out! In total, about 15 minutes of waiting to purchase a $29 PC power supply. I have had negative experiences at this store in the past, but this was the worst. I will find another supplier of PC parts (I maintain the PC;s for my company) to avoid this store in the future.
