"This is the second time in the last three months where I made a purchase at COMPUSA and had a problem and got no satisfaction.
This time it was a defective ink cartridge. It was a Rhinotex cartridge and it failed after a few days.
CompUSA says they don't exchange ink cartridges once they're opened. However, I had brought the cartridge to Office Depot thinking I bought it there and they were ready to exchange it until they saw they didn't sell that brand.
I paid full price for that cartridge and the merchant is responsible under the implied warranty of merchantability.
This item did not perform and I will persevere until I get satisfaction from CompUSA.
The company has not gotten any better under Systemax. I will not be buying from them again.
As per the reply, I emailed Al-Muhdi and told him that the info he requested had already been passed on to CompUSA. Obviously, he's not in the loop or this is just a dodge to avoid taking responsibility for the poor customer service.
Time to go to VISA and stop the transaction. Let's see if that gets their attention. Bet they find the transaction info after that."
"This is the worst experience I've ever had with any online retailer. I ordered both an AMD Phenom II 1090T and Visiontek Radeon 5850. The Phenom was backordered, even though it didn't say so on the site, and when I called to ask when they would get more, they told me a date that I presume they made up on the spot. Luckily for them, it shipped before the date that they said they would get the next shipment.
But the Visiontek 5850.. What a mess. They shipped it and it was DOA because the power connector was loose. It happens, I guess. I called them on the 10th and they told me to ship it back as soon as possible, because they were getting more on the 17th. I did.
Today, the 19th, I got an e-mail saying that my order was being refunded to my credit card. Okay, maybe it was a mistake, I thought. I called and they told me "okay okay, we will receive more on the 17th and ship it to you then." I then mentioned to the person on the phone that it was 19th. He said "We will get more on the 17th of this month." Again, I had to mention that the 17th was two days ago. He said "Yes, the 17th. We are supposed to get the shipment on the 17th, but it didn't come. Just wait, maybe it will come next week." CompUSA: MAYBE my $300 video card will be in next week? Of course, it says on the website that it will be 7-21 days. I mentioned this to the representative and he eventually admitted that it would be anywhere from 7-21 days.
So instead of telling me that they wouldn't be able to replace my card, they lied and CONTINUE to lie and said they could replace it on the 17th when I could have ordered from somebody else once I shipped it back to them.
Then they said I could replace it with another one. Okay. I was debating between the Visiontek and Diamond because the picture on their site show it to be a reference card. So I agreed to change it to the Diamond. Shortly thereafter, I read a review on their site saying that CompUSA does not ship the reference card in the picture, but a different one. I brought it up to the representative and he said: "Its only one person who said this, you could receive the one in the picture!" Yeah right. I bought a $100 waterblock for a reference card AFTER they told me they would replace it on the 17th. I think I'm going to trust the word of a customer over their snake oil sales people.
CompUSA: You have wasted my time and money. A week ago, I could have ordered a card elsewhere and now it is out of stock. I ordered a $100 waterblock that is specifically for that card and now I can't use it because you are more concerned about scamming people out of their money than customer satisfaction.
To people thinking about ordering: Run far, far away from them and their parent company tigerdirect.
Edited: I called back and was told that it would be 21 days. They said the 17th was simply an ETA and that I was told it would be "after the 17th." This is simply not true and they know it. Every customer service sales person (three) I talked to there was rude and completely lacked people skills.
Reply: then you should train your staff to tell them it is simply an ETA. The card you offered me is falsely advertised. All other vendors have updated their pictures to show that it us not a reference card that they are selling anymore. So in fact, it is not equal. Your customer service is also extremely rude. They told me that the warehouse people had a tracking number that would tell them when they would be getting more in, but that they couldn't make a call to get an accurate date. "

"I bought a copy of Windows XP from CompUSA to install on my Dell that came with Vista. The installation would not work and initially CompUSA would not accept the return because it had been opened. Their Customer Retention Manager informed me that he had obtained authorization to allow my refund once he was made aware of my circumstances.
I am very grateful for their assistance. I still wasted a lot of time trying dealing with CompUSA's Customer Service personnel, with Microsoft, and with my computer, but in the end the Customer Retention Manager came through and made everything right.

"I have ordered a samsung cell phone from this site and product that was delivered to me was with scratches on front & back as if it was used and looks tacky. When i tried to return the product, the site asked me to do it through pdagaint, when i call PDAGaint custmor service, they say i can not return the product and only thing i am allowed to is exchange for same phone. when i don't like the product, why should i keep. why can't i exchange? and i customer service agent of compusa and he was very rude and even before i can tell him about my problem all he pointed out is a site url and asked me to return it. when i said i called pdagaint customer service and they are only doing exchange and i want to return the product, his answer was just "sorry, we don't do reutrns, we only do exchange and we handle it through pdagaint, we can't do any thing about it".
This is such a lame site. I would suggest no one to purchase any thing from this site. customer service and product are really bad."
"This Toshiba flat panel TV is just awesome. The picture quality is fabulous. I just love the design, particularly the stainless steel finish. The only deficiency is the speakers. Volume has to be turned all the way up in order for the sound to be decently heard if you are sitting on a couch across the room in a decently sized living room. Luckily, I bought TV for my bedroom, & ran the audio thru my stereo system thereby amplifying the sound marvelously. If you can find a workaround for the audio, I highly recommend this Toshiba LCD TV; especially at the price that I purchased it at. I have several Toshiba products, & I'm definitely well satisfied. As for CompUsa, they have not disappointed me yet. Great service, wonderful followup, & best of all great deals & competitive prices."

Not sure how to reply to their reply but your response is not 100% accurate - I did NOT receive a pre-paid UPS sticker in any RMA documenatation so that statement is inaccurate. I ordered a speaker online that was described as perfect for any room. When it arrived it was absolutely rediculously large - almost 2 1/2 ft across and about 9 inchs tall. When I called customer service to ask if I could return it because there were no dimensions on the website I was told that "anyone" can see how large it would be if you add it up. Not what I wanted to hear. I can't return to a store (so what's the point in having them?) and I have to pay for return shipping and won't get a refund for that or the original shipping. The final kicker is that they could take up to 25% as a restocking fee. I filled in their form saying the web page had missing information and I don't expect to get a response to this or the submission I put in."

The price on the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880 Notebook PC that I purchased on the Comp USA website was as low as I could find any where else.
The shipping charge was $7 on a 10 lb item and It was received on the 3rd business day after purchase via UPS ground.
