"So I am baffled. My fiance ordered an item. Once I received the item, I realized she ordered the wrong item. I call and talk to a representative. The guy was nice, but sort of... hard to deal with. Anyway, I ask him to get an exchange and I take the number he gave me, thinking it was a number to get a free shipment back to compusa; I was wrong. I call again and hit the number for "customer service" thinking I might get a competent representative who is there to serve a customer. I get a disrespectful kid. He says, "why would we pay to ship the item back, it was your mistake." Well, I have never heard of a single company who doesn't understand, their customers make mistakes. This site is not easy to navigate and the one descriptive word required to make it known that the item was not the correct item was in fact nowhere to be seen on the item page. I can completely understand how the mistake was made. I had done the same thing a while back at newegg. I was building a new computer, had never done it before, got the wrong advice, and ordered a processor had a different socket type than the motherboard. I called, they emailed me a shipping slip to tape to the box and voila. I could understand if I was simply wanting a refund. Some people may completely disagree with me and think, "your mistake, know what your ordering before you order it." But think about someone in your family who doesn't know computers that well, like my fiance; sure you would think ordering a hard drive is simple, for you, but they could good order the wrong one, right?

In summary, the customer service, from what I have experienced, is young (seemingly inexperienced) kids who are difficult, to say the least. Secondly, be 100% sure you are ordering the correct item, because even if you exchange it, you gonna gonne be out $30+ for the initial shipping, shipping the item back, and the new item shipping fees. I will stick with newegg from now on.
