"Very frustrating experience which has been the case this last year with all CompUSA transactions. I needed a NAS storage drive in a very tight timeframe. I found it on CompUSA and noted that is was shown IN STOCK. I quickly put it in shopping cart and made purchase, including next day Air choice for shipping which would fit exactly to the day for my needed delivery. From a PREVIOUS bad experience on an order, I had a promise for shipping on next order and I emailed contact that promised that to try to get it to apply here. Of course, I upgraded shipping, so the promised by CompUSA for free shipping did not apply to the full upgrade, but they agreed to refund part of shipping costs on this. SO FAR, so good. The next morning, I decided I better check on my pending order and make sure it was processing OK for the next day delivery. WOW!!! It is marked "backordered"!!! The IN STOCK item I ordered is now BACKORDERED! ! ! No email, no notice anywhere along the ordering line that this in fact was NOT in stock. Amazing! I CALLED customer service and they said indeed they had no idem to ship and would have to wait for one to come in. Well that's nice since I was desperate for one within the ordered and confirmed timeframe. I CANCELLED THE ORDER and immediately located on Amazon the same item, marked IN STOCK, ordered and received item exactly on time that I should have had CompUSA order. Amazingly even saved money. Item was less, so even though I was not getting a rebate for partial shipping from a previous transaction from comp usa, I STILL SAVED $14 on my out of pocket expenses to get this item. I understand that in any online business there can be problems, but with CompUSA they are nearly 100% prolematic. The ONLY transaction I had in the last 12 months without a problem was a simple online order of OS software. 100% of my hardward attempted purchases went sour in some way. I have come to conclusion that it's better to even pay a little more somewhere else than ordering a price-competitive item through CompUSA that either never materializes or has other issues. If you time if worth NOTHING then maybe you would be OK with that, but I am a business man, and when time is factored in, I'm finding CompUSA to NOT be the discout store it first appears."

"The notebook is great. I got some help from an associate at work in order to set it up for the internet. The GPS unit did not work. After several emails back and forth with Magellan they finally told me to ship it back to them for a repair or replacement. It would not connect with the satallite. So it did not recognize that the car was moving."
