But they just intercepted my order without even sending me a notification email. If I didn't check the tracking number again, I would have wasted the whole for nothing. "Even after they posted here I would be hearing from them I've never received any contact. They returned the item with out my permission and refunded my order (it was an item I was waiting on and it never showed up it shipped on may 11th and then I received a return email on may 16th) . When I called them they tried to sell me the same processor for more money. I was told this is a bait and switch and I've contacted the BBB, my local district attorney, and a national consumer group ( as well as ReselleRating.com of course ). I think it tells a lot about a company when they say we will be in contact with you and it never happens. If they fail to contact me I can assure them someone will be in contact with them on my behalf. Thank you."
"I have placed an order on May 9th 2008 for a CPU, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor BX80570E8400, then it took 2 days to be shipped (May 11th 2008). However, the package has been pulled back on May 16th 2008 without any notice.
I have called them up few times, each time, I have a different answer such as "Wrong Item", "Damaged Item", "Wrong CPU", and finally, "Price Mistake".
To me, it is not acceptable to lie to customer(s). If it is a price mistake, just have an announcement about it before doing any action such as pulling the shipment back. I strongly feel that I am not respected by CompUSA. Therefore, I do not think that I will purchase anything from CompUSA again."
"Order the E8400, package was intercepted the day of delivery but never received any email regarding about why the package was intercept until i call them multiple times and each time i get different response such as they sent out the wrong cpu, mislabeling of the Intel box, cpu was defective and bunch of other lowlife excuses . What bothers me the most is that they charge my account instantly after i place the order, now they are telling me that i will not receive my refund until they received the package from UPS. Never expect me to order from them again in the future."
"Ordered E8400 at a ridiculously low price (like many people). Never really expected to get it. It was sent out and "intercepted" by the UPS driver for shipment back to the store.
What is beyond irritating, however, is a generic, third-grader-written apology for "sending me the wrong item" and canceling my order. Hey, just say, "We priced this thing accidentally well below cost, we're taking it back. Sorry." No sweat. But if they're petty enough to tell an unbelievable lie over this dumb thing, I'm surely not going to trust them with any future orders. They'll just lie about those too if they make mistakes, so why ever order anything there?
Update: Through sheer luck, the package evaded delivery intercept. The item shipped was definitely the correct item. "

The customer service phones are never answered (two calls, each with a 45 minute hold time before giving up) and emails sent to the cust. service department are never answered. "I ordered software from their website. It said it would ship out in 1-2 days. After waiting 5 days and checking the status daily on their website (it was never updated), the status changed to "Cancelled." THEY NEVER WARNED ME. I would not have known had I not checked the status! This was a VERY important order to me, and they just up and cancelled it with NO warning!

"I placed an order for the Acer 24" LCD Monitor for 249 after rebate. 2 days later, they cancel my order because they were "unable to process your order using the information
you have provided."
I checked and doublechecked the billing info and shipping address and all is correct. I replied to the email as directed for any questions and have gotten no response. I have tried their website customer service with now response.
Myself and 2 other friends ordered the same monitor and all were cancelled. One of them called in directly and a rep stated that the billing and shipping addresses did not match. This should make no difference since the shipping address is listed as an authorized shipping address on the credit card. I have not been able to get a response from anyone at CompUSA.
Needless to say I will NEVER attempt to purchase anythign from them again. "
"I have bought this Wireless-G Network Kit for $49.99 to be picked up at the store. But when I went to the store (San Bruno, CA) first they told me they couldn't locate the product. After wiating for about 45 minutes they found the product.
Then they told me I should be paying 89.99 and not 49.99. They said the price has changed by the time I have ordered and went to pick it up !!!!
I felt like I was cheated. I don't think I am ever going to buy anything from CompUSA."
"I ordered DVDs 2 weeks ago. They haven't sent a confirmation email or any other communication. Today I inquired about the status of my order. The online info just said the order was "open" with no other indication of any kind. I called customer service and was told they were on back order. When I ordered them the site said "in stock". Now I'm told it will be another two weeks. This is just wrong. Every other time I've bought here I've had problems. Stay away!!!!"
