"I must ammend what I originally wrote concerning
my disappointment with the fan they had sent and it's not working well with my MOBO. I got a call from Megan with CompuVest, who read my post here and she apologized for the mis-understanding and she refunded me the cost of the fan. From my experience with CompuVest they do care that their customers are satisfied. Below is part of what I first wrote.

Quick easy ordering and they shipped quickly. I just got it today, so I can't say as to whether it works or not. It may be several days before I get time to install it.

I was a bit let down on what I got. When I first looked at this time a couple of months ago, it was listed as an OEM Intel CPU and fan, with an picture of an Intel box, which was like the Intel box my original cpu and fan came in. Later that picture disappeared. I wrote to them concerning whether or not the fan was a true Intel fan and all I got back was yes the cpu is a new IBM and the fan is new also. I wrote again asking is the fan a Intel fan for that CPU and never got an answer. The fan that was shipped is an off the wall made in China fan. If I would have known that I would have just bought the cpu and bought a better processor fan elsewhere. If you are planing to by a cpu with fan and marked OEM, make sure the fan is also OEM, if they will answer you. Otherwise, just get the cpu and get a better fan elsewhere.

Well, today I installed the new CPU and fan. I wasn't pleased at all with the fan installation. Even with it clamped down on the processor it wasn't tight, there was play in it. I ended up having to put the 10 year old Intel heatsink/fan on after doing a thorough cleaning, and it works fine. "
