"Had a small problem with a mobo not in staock but after I called Compu-Terra bent over backward to help me get anouther mobo."
"Very friendly. Credit card denied, canceled order. Charged my card anyhow. Now disputing claim.Avoid at all costs. Run do not walk away"
"My experience was adequate. The reseller was a good solid av erage reseller on theinternet, and I felt comfortable doing business with them. I will likely return"
"The folks at this place are always helpful and friendly. I love to do business with them"
"Ordered Barebones Sys. Arrived as ordered, well packaged and everything as requested. Had purchased from this Company, approx 4 years before and was well satisfied then also. Would recommend them. AAAA"
"the items i purchased were of a good value for the price i paid."
"fast delivery, curteous service, no excuses. most importantly, everything works."
"There´s only one word for these people CROOKS.
Really dishonest business practices. Ordered an ABIT COMBO, FAN, ATI 9550 VIDEO CARD. Was told that that specific combo was not available any longer, that they would give an upgrade for $20.00 more. I received an ABIT combo motherboard minus the ATI 9550 video card that I originally ordered. Anyone that has a complaint with these CROOKS, contact the OHIO STATE DISTRICT ATTORNEY AND FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT. They will send you the proper forms to fill out. You also have to file a complaint with the DA in the state you live in. If you think it is worth it to you all the PLAINTIFFS can file a CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THESE MORONS."
"Good seller. I found everything i needed and it was sent to me on time. Good customer service. I will purchase from them again."
"The order process was very easy and painless. I also appreciated the courtesy call made to me the next day to confirm my order. The guy was so nice that he even told me I could get an upgrade on my order for less than $25 more dollars. Thanks a lot!"
"Do not- I repeat, DO NOT buy from this company. I ordered from them and my order didn't even ship for over a week. Then, when I called to ask about it multiple times, every time the man who answered said his name was "John" but it was obviously different people. Instead of helping me or getting my order put through, they tried to get me to upgrade my order. PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did. Newegg.com, is 10000 times better. - geoff"
"Ordered a mobo combo. First they sent me an email to call. It was the bait and switch thing that was referred to like other reviews put it. I told them to send the one I ordered and I refused to pay. 1st guy said ok. I get 3 more calls 3 consecutive days later. I finally get a tracking number the 4th day in my email. Get product 2 days later. Once I open the product, it is the wrong cpu. I ordered Athlon 64+ 2800 and got an Athlon XP 2800+. DO NOT BUY from this company. Worst customer service ever. Just go buy from newegg or monarch."
"Ordering was easy on the site, once I discovered what I wanted, though I was a little surprised to receive a phone call from one of the people from the company, and then receive an offer to 'upgrade' my choice, for a further fee, something that I had already refused to do in the options on the website.
Upon reading the feedback from pricewatch.com for this company, I discovered this has been a fairly commonplace practice, which bothered me to some extent, I might not have ordered from them if I knew beforehand that they did this sort of 'bait & switch' (the other commenters from pricewatch used this term) tactic. I have to admit its the first time I've ever encountered a business practice like this and was a bit caught off guard by it.
Other commenters also mentioned there had been delays in shipping, I'm hoping that I receive the item in the # of days that I'm expecting and I will be following up with this feedback, either positively or negatively once it arrives.
[16 Sept] I just received the package in the mail, and although it was partially what I had ordered, in the course of the last 2 weeks I was informed that the mb I had originally ordered was discontinued (which makes NO sense, since if they had it in stock when I ordered it, what difference should it make if the manufacturer had discontinued it, since they had it in hand, unless they didn't??) and they were upgrading me to a more expensive mb (and not charging me the difference, another curiousity). But in order for me to find this out, I had to call THEM, a full week after the order was placed. I shudder to think how long it would have been if I had just let things go and not bothered to call. Even so, when I was told that the shipment was going out that day, I asked to be informed of the tracking number, which they proceeded not to do. I had to call back again 5 days later when nothing arrived, and was told the same story again, that it was packed and ready to go, that they would email me the tracking # and I would have the shipment in 2-3 days.
Didn't happen. I was forced to call them again (3 phone calls, all on my phone bill) today and was ready to ask them for a cancelled order and a refund when I was informed that the shipment had gone out on Wednesday and should be arriving today. If they had bothered to email the tracking number I wouldn't have been as put out as I was, but they seemed rather nonplussed about the whole thing, and was sure to ask me for positive feedback after the package arrived. Well in my book, if you want something positive said about you, do something positive first, don't make me have to chase you all over the place to get you to do the job you signed up for, and I pre-paid you for. Yes the package arrived, but when I opened it, I was a bit crestfallen (though I have no idea why, I should have expected what I found) in that the mb and cpu I had ordered were NOT put together as they had been ordered, they were shipped seperately. I specifically ordered them to be put together and tested, so I didn't have to do it myself, else I would have just purchased the items seperately from a large retail vendor and gone from there.
So after all this, I can't really recommend them to future purchasers. I do get the impression though, if you're local to them, you might get a little better service, since you can go to the place of business and complain if need be, people doing business long distance don't have that option, so they as a company apparently have a little more leeway in how they treat you as a customer, though I really don't see why there should be a difference."
"The order went smoothly. They advised me on what I would need to use the motherboard and CPU I got, and dealt with me efficiently."
"After a mistake on my part during the order, I called up and got prompt service to get what I intended to order."
