"So we bought a lg smart tv two years ago and never missed a payment, had two different kinds of insurances on it that we paid for the tv for TWO YEARS and one day the power cord stopped working and they WOULDNT replace it and said it wasn’t covered under the accidental insurance! So basically they CONNED us out of money for two years and when something breaks or decides to stop working even if you have insurance they don’t want to be the ones to fix it. To each their own, but if I could give you a piece of advice DO NOT buy anything from this piece of crap company! "
"We were promised free shipping and a 50 inch tv it wasn’t on our invoice so we called a day before delivery they said oh we forgot to put it on here you can pick up in store then when I called to confirm the day of delivery it wasn’t on truck they argued they couldn’t do it because it was a salesman error .... we were promised it would be taken care of several times then to be told we needed to call higher up to take care of it !!! This is just a short summary of the situation I can tell you i had plans on buying new appliances after we bought a full living room suit I can tell you with the service I’ve received that will not happen they do not care about customer service ..values .. honesty it doesn’t matter to them when you buy it it’s on you !!! It’s terrible I feel like conn is a perfect name for there business they obviously got it honest please people save your money go to an honest place to spend your hard earned money !!!! "
"On October 20, 2017 I spent $500 on a Bose SoundTouch 30 as well as purchased a 2 year service contract. So now it’s not working anymore and they will not honor their own contract and I have the original one they provided me. Stay away from this place. Bunch of crooks, the name of the store should be Cons. "
"After buying my mom a $2000 refrigerator and never missing a payment and paying it off early, I got a notice in the mail saying that my line of credit had been raised to $5000, so I go to buy a washer and dryer this past Wednesday 085/28/2019 and they tell me that they were sorry about sending me the letter with an increased credit line because they couldn't help me. They said it was an old letter... I told them NO because its dated for August and it had coupons that expired in October. So then I tell them that I'd pay cash if they lowered the price and they said No to that too. So I posted a review on another site and the owner responded to me and said that they wanted to apologize and investigate and call me with what they found out. So, today 08/30/2019 I had a missed call from Conn's so I called back. The woman that answered did not even listen to me and then finally told me that I had to be transferred. After holding 19 Minutes and 50 seconds on hold, I got hung up on and had to call back. I called back and got told that a letter about why I was denied was coming in the mail and that here was no one else that I could speak to. I told the woman that I was demanding to know why they were allowed to send a letter of an increased credit line and not honor it and she could not answer me. I figured that since I have good credit with them and paid my account off early that they would be throwing the washer and dryer at me, but i got the opposite. Then on top of that, if you got to the store, they have flyers all over the store that say " NO CREDIT NEEDED" but here I am with good credit history with them and they tell me No. The flyers and letters they send are lies and they do not honor them, and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. They need to be responsible for the letters that they send out and honor them. "
"Was approved for 1750. Decided to go and get a PS4. After getting all paperwork done and paying deposit. All this took over 2 1/2 hrs. They told me that unless I buy something of equal value I cant buy a PS4. So now they turn customers away if you don't buy more than you wanted. Because getting 800 dollars out of you isn't enough. Its no wonder no customers were at the store just a bunch of salespeople standing around talking to each other. Of course this Rule they have was not even known by the manager. Guess they dont train or they just make stuff up as the day goes on. They lost another paying customer"
"I paid 558.00 dollars for Insurance on a sofa and dining table ,when I needed repairs they were not done they were denied because they said it was normal wear and tear, well Duh! why else would I pay so much for Insurance? needless to say I will never buy furniture there ever again, dont trust them they are a RIP OFF!"
"So I got a Mac book from them about 13 months ago for a little over $2000 and had only $400 dollars left to pay off but after 12 months was up they Literally added $600 dollars of interest to my account. I called and asked why was it so much and they told me what they do is add on all the interest from the last 12 mouths and then start adding interest for everyday after. I don’t understand how these people can get away with this but at the end of the day know I have to pay it all off right away or they will hit me credit. PLEASE STAY AWAY and don’t let the take Advantage of you like they did me "
"From an advertisement CONN'S stated that you could complete an application for pre-approval with no credit check. Since I am building a higher credit rating and no credit check required to see what your pre-approval rate is without a hard inquiry on credit report ...It sounded good...after all it's best to check the approval odds and amount before doing a credit check...Well Deception CONN'S has a trap with the intent of running a credit check for an actual account ...no intention of pre-approval... Once you give all your personal information and submit ....then a pop-up appear requesting to do a hard inquiry credit check and they have a the gall to ask for your permission. This is a Marketing Deception used to trap consumers with no intent of pre-approval (per stated pre-approval with no credit check ) It is a blatant LIE and deceptive marketing practice.. I refused permission to run a credit check ...I am not desperate for debt...and for that reason I prefer pre-qualified and I make the decision if I want the credit or not....Before I could get off the page sale promotions was flooding my email inbox...I unsubscribed to all email...Then I began getting these calls and finally I answered and yes, you're right "IT'S CONN'S" using my personal information as a lead. Sales person ask me if I want to complete my application...I told him NO. Your method is deceptive and to delete my personal information from CONN'S data base...I was told it is impossible to Delete my personal information and that it will be in the system forever...Not only are they DECEPTIVE BUT LIARS... Information can be delete from a CRM system.
So I am filling a complaint with the AZ Attorney General and BBB.
Beware Consumers of CONN'S Deception!!!!!"
"Conn's, where do I start.... This has been the worst experience by far. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (NEW) on July 4th it was delivered. Six days after I received it, the refrigerator went out. I contacted the store manager who then told to call customer service to have a technician come out and try to fix it. I had the manager call as I had already been inconvenienced and lost over $300 worth of food (Which has not been replaced). The technician came 2 whole days later, which is what they call priority... I have 3 babies to feed and 3 days without a fridge is unacceptable. The technician told me this is a common issue and he would have to order parts to fix it. It has been another week without a refrigerator. I have called customer service, they are no help and show the least amount of concern. I have even tried to return the item that they sent to me defective but I have to pay a 15% stocking fee which will not be waived even if it is their fault. And to top it off, I am not able to return it until the repair has been made and the technician closes out the order. Which is prolonging the time I have to keep it and possibly cutting into my 30 days to return it. The manager at the store has tried to reach upper management to try to get the issue resolved but everyone has declined to resolve the issue in a professional manner. This has been extremely overwhelming and unnecessary. I have even been told, it's not Conn's its Samsung. So they do not stand behind the products they sell. The resolution team is horrible and doesn't resolve anything. The name literally speaks for itself Conn's. All I want to do now is return the defective product they sold me and it is well within the 30 days. But they literally are trying to force me to keep it! If you are looking to do business with them my best advice is DON'T! You will definitely save yourself a headache! The company needs to shutdown and start all the way over with a team trained to provide excellent customer service!!!"
"Conn's Extended Warranty Department is a waste of money, and in my opinion your money in the trash! I have been trying to get my TV replaced for 5 months now, no replacement, and definitely no refunds!!! Purchase date May 2017"
"I was approved for $4000.00 after that I have received over 20 phone calls , trying ever trick just to get me in to purchase a slide in gas range. YOU REVIEWERS HELPED ME TO SAY . ( HELL NO I'M NOT INTERESTED IN CONN'S. I WHEN CHECKED OUT HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S. THANKS TO YOU GUY'S"
"Bought a new LG refrigerator a couple of months ago. For a month now it has not been working hardly at all. The ice makers neither one works freezer doesn't work the upper refrigerator part is Barely cool. I have had to wait a month to get a service Tech to come out and tell me the problem. He comes out finely tells me he can't find the parts 2 major parts. He can't get these parts it's too new. I told them I want a different new refrigerator. I have been living without a working refrigerator for a month. I have called everyone all the time asking when am I going to get a replacement. Now all I'm getting is there updating their lines are down. So how long is the person need to wait to have a new refrigerator to work? Very badd service don't do business with these people. I paid for an extra extended warranty on top of the 10 year LG warranty. Do not buy from Conn's and do not buy LG refrigerator. Service tech said they're terrible. They do not stand by their product are their word. I have spent hours and hours on the phone trying to get this settled. Still waiting....."
"This review is strictly about the terrible customer service hotline and the warranty department. I purchased a $4500 tv a couple of years ago, along with the extended warranty and also the separate insurance they offered back then for an additional $600. My tv was still under warranty when the power source went out. They were able to replace the part, but when the tv was turned back on, the screen was messed up. They couldn’t replace the screen, so they told me they would submit it to be replaced. After I got the call that it was approved for an exchange, I went into the store for them to show me the tv THEY picked for me. It was a $1500 tv!! Mind you I had a 65inch curved 8000 series. It was $4500!! So they told me to call customer service and discuss it with them and they may be able to increase the credit. So that’s what I did, after talking to several different reps, the last one told me that she was able to approve me for $1999.99. I was happy with the increase and told her thank you. I then called the store to ask about the tv I found that was close to the tv we were replacing. The rep proceeded to tell me that I would be out of pocket a few hundred and I said I was fine with that. The very next day I went into the store and the rep informed me that I was only approved for $1099. She told me to call customer service and see what was going on. The FIRST lady told me that it was only showing $1099 and it had always been $1099. She then told me the tv was valued at that price because it depreciated. I told her that wasn’t right and TWO other people just the day before saw it when they pulled my acct up. The manager of the store and the assistant manager both said they had never heard of anything in their store “depreciating”. I was then transferred to the warranty dept. I asked for them to pull the phone records of my conversation where the lady quoted me for the $1999.99. Conveniently, she couldn’t find the recording. So basically called me a liar. It states in the conns pamphlet they have in the store “IF WE CANT REPAIR IT, WE WILL REPLACE IT” “WE WILL REPLACE IT WITH A PRODUCT THAT HAS EQUAL OR SIMILAR FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY” “WE WILL REPLACE YOUR PRODUCT IF THE PARTS BECOME UNAVAILABLE” can someone please tell me how the credit of $1099 is even close to what I paid for?!! This is what I’m dealing with and after this, I PROMISE I will NEVER shop at conns again!! This is unfair, false advertisement on their warranty promise, and very petty of them!! Please beware when purchasing from them and make sure you know all about the warranty!! Apparently the warranty company failed to notify me of this “depreciation” BS and now I’m out a $4500 tv!! "
"I applied for credit with Conn's in Tyler, Texas and was approved for 1,750 dollars worth of credit! I went into the store to purchase an hutch and vacuum! I was that I would have to pay 20 percent down on these item's. Both of their witch's were no longer available either in their store or in their wear house! So I didn't purchase anything right then because I didn't see any thing else I wanted right then. Since then I have been told that their policy is that once approved for credit with Conn's you have to pruchase an item from them with in 30 day's are you loose the credit you were approved for and you have to reply for credit with them. If I had known this I wouldn't have applied the first time. Their policy is completely stupid! Every time they pull your credit file it put's an hard ship on your credit file! I called. Conn's main office and told them that once you were approved for credit with their company that there shouldn't be any time limit on purchasing your first item! That no other company has an policy such as theirs and that their policy needed to be changed or done away with! Their customer service called me back and told me that once my 30 day's was up I would have to reply for credit with Conn's and I would have to reply every 30 day's if I didn't purchase anything with in that 30 day period! I will not reply for credit with Conn's their customer service department was very rude! Do not buy anything from Conn's!
Thank you,
Brenda Goodein"
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT CONN'S OR THEIR WARRANTY. I PAID FOR A 3 YEAR WARRANTY, WHICH EXPIRES 07/2021. I JUST CALLED IN TO MAKE A CLAIM AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY CAN NOT COVER THE DAMAGES TO MY TABLE BECAUSE OF THE SPILLED NAIL POLISH REMOVER. IT WAOULD COVER THE NAIL POLISH BUT NOT THE SPILL BECAUSE IT IS A CHEMICAL. WELL TECHNICALLY SO IS NAIL POLISH. MAKES NO SENSE!!! I ALSO TOLD THEM ABOUT THE FINISH CHIPPING ALONG THE EDGES OF THE TABLE AND WAS TOLD THEY CANT COVER THAT EITHER BECAUSE OF THE CONFLICTING DAMAGES. THE DISCOLORATION ISN'T THAT BAD, IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE CHIPPING THAT OCCURRED FROM PLAIN WATER AND NOT "CHEMICALS" I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD THE TABLE A YEAR. NOT ONLY THAT THE FINISH STATETING CHIPPING AFTER A COUPLE OF TIMES OF WIPING DOWN THE TABLE WITH A DAMP SPONGE DIPPED IN PLAIN WATER TO CLEAN FOOD, FINGER PRINTS, ETC.."
