"Ordered a Samsung 55" LED TV from cost central at a price about $500 less than other credible online resellers. I was told the unit was on back order but was reassurred before ordering and several times after 11/16 order date that I would receive the TV by end of December. Yesterday I was informed my TV would not be delivered until January.Since my order date the price on the TV I ordered increased across all resellers. It appears from previous reviews CostCentral has a nasty habit of featuring hot items at low price ( below cost) listings with out of stock items to grab customers with promises or reasonable in-stock time frames, only to leave customers hanging extended delivery dates with no recourse except to cancel. I'm sure they were happy as they could probably get more for the TV than they quoted me.....it's roll of the dice pricing stratgy they play that has no negative consequences for them, just for the consumer..smart but swarmy players..they should be shut down"
"I placed an order for an HP 6500 All-in-One printer while its website indicated that 33 were in stock and received a confirmation. My order was canceled a few hours later. When I called, the rep told me that the item was out of stock and the price that placed my order at would not be honored even if I was put in back-order.
This is unethical and deceptive practice.

"Checked this company out and the ratings looked good enough to order. Price was not the lowest, but competive. BUT, two things to consider before spending $550+ at this vendor. First, this is one of those "black hole" outfits. After a confirmation e-mail, it is entirely up to the customer to keep going back to their website and look up the order to see where it is in the process. Second, the reviews I based my purchase decision on were mostly small items or reviews were about how great it was shopping at the vendor's site. I should have deeper into people who had defective product experience. My Pronto remote was dead out of the box after waiting over a week for FedEx delivery. Called the Cost Central toll-free number and got someone who sounded very young and confused. When you call about a defective product they take the order number and then try and create a cross ship and of course want you to charge a second unit to your credit card. They then tell you to expect an e-mail from whomever does return in from 24-72 hours. It took some doing to find out if there was going to be a call ticket in that e-mail (you supposedly get either a mailing label or a call ticket). I got neither. A day later I got an e-mail telling me that Philips products are only handled by dealing directly with the manufacturer. Guess they weren't too happy that I wouldn't pay them twice. Wonder if they would have cheerfully refunded the original $550 if they had shipped me out a second one. I think not! As it was, Philips installs a master power switch on their universal remotes and after 10 minutes on the phone with Philips support right after I spoke with Cost Central's helpful person, the remote was working properly. If it wasn't, I's be up a creek trying to get it fixed. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!! READ THEIR WEB PAGE ABOUT RETURNS!! It has more loopholes than the smallest legal small print. And even though the manufacturer of what you want to buy MAY NOT BE listed a company that they ABSOLUTELY do not replace, the following little statement in their policy should give you pause to think before buying: "This is not a complete list, and is provided as an example. Please contact our customer service department for more information prior to placing your order if you have any questions or concerns.""

"I searched Google Shopping for a computer component I wanted and identified several vendors with similar pricing. After eliminating those with no seller ratings, I examined NextWarehouse, PCNation and Provantage. Unfortunately, these firms use e-commerce platforms that are not very secure. So, I chose to spend the extra four dollars to order from Cost Central, which uses a very secure ordering system. I easily opened an account and placed my order on a Saturday. I received an email confirmation immediately and was able to track my order from the included link. My merchandise shipped from the Tech Data warehouse on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. Based on this experience, I heartily recommend Cost Central. "
"I order a Acer Aspire M5800 on Monday August 10th. I was going to purchase a HP from Best Buy but it was out of stock and i did research when i got home to find out it was worst in its class for performance.
So Cost Central had it for $80 less than what i would of spent at Best Buy with free shipping and no tax. I didn't really understand their tracking system and called a few times to find out the status of my order. Each time I called I waited no longer than 1 minute and the person was really nice and did not try to upsell me or upgrade me on anything and was super nice.
I got my order on Friday the 15th of the same week I ordered. Been using it for a week now and I love it!
Great customer service from my experience, fast shipping and great prices. Definitely coming back to this company. Especially because they did not do call to confirm the order bs where they try to sell you useless items."
"I called Cost Central and odered by telephone a HP multifunction color laser printer (They had a very good price). I received an order confirmation via e-mail that said at the time of order that there were 12 in stock and it would take 1-7 business days for me to get my printer. Two business days later, I checked for tracking information but none was available yet. (Allow 1-2 business days...) One week later, I was concerned because there still was no tracking information available. I called and asked what was up and was told that the product was out of stock. WHERE WAS MY NOTIFICATION? I didn't get one! I called and said something to the effect of "How could that be, if I ordered if by phone and the e-mail order confirmation stated that 12 were in stock? The rep. told me that all 12 must have been depleted in the 1-2 hours between when I placed the order and when that order was sent to the warehouse for shipment. I haven't done anything more at this point, because he said that supposedly more are to arrive tomorrow (no promises though). I don't feel good about things thus far and likely will need to cancel this order. Which hopefully doesn't lead to another post here at resellerratings.
**UPDATE**
I called again 1 day later and told the rep. the story which "gave them a nudge" to locate the printer I needed. The rep. said that a manager assisted her with checking with the warehouse and getting me my printer sent. The next day, I called back to get tracking, which says it was sent out that day and it will be arriving tomorrow. The lesson learned is be vigilant and always confirm that something is actually in stock and shipping. Don't be satisfied that your order is on it's way until you get a tracking number."
