"I had purchased a 50" HDTV from cost central and they have offered free shipping for orders over $599 (ref: http://www.costcentral.com/pu_freeshipping.html).
After 2 days they finally contacted m via email Saying that they updated the order to Ground Freight shipping that does not deliver to my door (frieght truck will not unload apparently). Cost central wanted $75 to add a service to the FREE shipping just to get it unloaded to my door!!! So what does FREE shipping really mean?
I had to make a phone call talk to 2 people to cancel my order (wasted time).
Overall a unpleasant buying experience ! I went ahead and canceled my order as other retailers offer free shipping to the door and a total lower cost to me. I dont expect to come back to cost central."

"I placed an order for an IP camera Wednesday that I needed by Friday, paid for the expedited shipping, and was sent an email saying my billing and shipping address did not match.
I do have 2 addresses and both are listed with my bank (billing and residential).
I have 1 phone number (my cell) and no lan lines. Then they said they couldn't process the order unless my billing and shipping addresses had SEPARATE phone numbers.... I tried to explain to the rude customer service lady that I had only 1 phone number and would gladly provide any other information to verify my identity etc, she refused, and said I would get a call if/when my order was denied.
I REGRET THAT THIS IS THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME I WILL ORDER FROM THEM.

I called and cancelled my order. I replaced the order from Overstock for about 10 bucks more with 3 day shipping :( but with NO HASSLE.

The customer service lady was RUDE. I don't see how that attitude is acceptable even if she was "trying to help me".
If that is how your customer service department helps people then my review and final opinion are unchanged. No attempt was made to actually ASSIST me. I understand you have strong anti fraud protection but I haven't had this problem EVER and I am an regular online shopper.
