"I'd never dealt with Cost Central / Erie Computer before and only stumbled into them in the wash of the Great HP Touchpad Firesale. I also ordered a bluetooth keyboard from them at a great price and got the item advertised within a couple days - no problems at all.
Overall, I'd say they've done as good a job as any other retailer I've dealt with. Aside from what appears to be intentional aversion to answering questions about the HP Touchpad order and their capability to source a quantity sufficient to fill their orders... I'm just waiting like many other customers and hope they can.
In conclusion, I'd recommend them. They have done their job as well as can be expected and that is far more than I can say for many other vendors."

"I placed an order for the HP TouchPads during the now infamous fire sale, and Cost Central was my only hope as all other companies I ordered from (Walmart, B&N, etc.) simply didn't care about customer frustration an error on THEIR end caused and simply decided to cancel all orders. They actually SHIPPED items as promised, keeping accurate inventory, in addition to giving order updates/tracking. I only contacted customer service once and that also was a pleasant experience. "Bought a Touchpad. Was patient with them as a lot of SlickDealers were extremely frustrated with cancelled orders from other vendors. Cost Central sent out a couple of e-mails throughout the week of waiting saying they were working as hard as possible to fulfill all orders. People that were impatient probably gave them a bad rating, but I believe they truly did the best they could under the circumstance (hurricane, no notice of fire sale price, idiots harassing them about when their orders will be shipped, etc) they were in. I blame HP for the lack of communication and springing the "fire sale" price at the last minute on all vendors.
