"Since my first car I've gone with Crutchfield for car audio components. I keep going back because of the industry leading customer service, both for research & selection, as well as for the DIY installation support. The inclusion of free adapters, wiring harnesses, etc has always been a HUGE draw to me.

However, on this recent purchase, I found the installation documentation and adapters to be less than ideal. I purchased 2 sets of speakers - front door, and rear door, for my 2012 Nissan Rogue. The front door speakers were supposed to be a drop in fit, however they interfered with some alignment pins on the door which were not highlighted in the installation instructions. Also, the hole pattern on the speakers didn't align with the car hole pattern, so I was only able to install 2 of the 4 screws per speaker.

On the rear speakers, Crutchfield included an adapter housing for the speaker. This adapter didn't fit without modification, as I had to trim off 4 pieces per housing just to get the speaker to fit.

I'm fully capable of doing this sort of DIY, but I have come to expect a more complete and detailed oriented service from Crutchfield. Overall, I'm not fully pleased with my last Crutchfield experience."

"I’ve known about Crutchfield for years, but this is the first time I’ve ordered. I was under the impression they only dealt in high end audio which costs a lot of $, but was pleasantly surprised to find out they carry quality merchandise which can be quite affordable.

A big plus was the fact that they recommend components that are known to fit (was upgrading audio in my vehicle) and also the most popular products purchased by others. This removes the frustration that comes with finding out the part you were so excited to install doesn’t fit, or sounds less than you expected.

I also appreciate the fact that they list what tools are needed and offer some of those for sale. Yes, you can improvise but having the right tools for the job makes things 1000 percent easier.

The bonus on top of everything was the included harness adapter that was included FREE!
