"Purchased a pressure washer directly from DR last September, and it became defective within warranty period. At their direction, I took it to a factory authorized repair center almost five months ago. There have been at least twenty calls (average wait on hold time at least 30 minutes), and no progress has been made. Repair center has done a great job of helping me get this solved, but they are unable to make any progress either. It is almost winter, and won't be able to use it till next year if I do get it back...not holding my breath. Stay away from this company. It looks like I have lots of company."
"DR Power is so bad that they even refused to even communicate with BBB on my matter. I purchase the expedited shipping which was never rendered to me. I also asked for a military discount due to me being a disabled combat veteran and they laughed at me for even asking that question. I've made numerous attempts to contact the CEO and he refuses to respond back to me. Hopefully someday soon they'll go out of business for the way they treat customers."
"Ordered pilot model beginning of September, received the spool of cutting cord quickly. After follow up calls I finally got the trimmer. Box all tore up and partially open, extra bolts in bottom of box. Again follow up calls about extra bolts and durablades I ordered and never got. No response. Don't believe 1-3 day shipping, more like 1 to 3 weeks if your lucky. True test will be this weekend...let you know how many more bolts I find!

"I ordered a chipper on 9/18. Called todat 9/20 for order status. Was told it is still being processed and may take a week to get any information. Wasn't even able to tell me if the item is on backorder. I'm going to look for other options. This was a $3k order!"
"I purchased the dr brush mower to tackle weeds around my property. I've had the unit a out 5 months. To date ice only run 1 tank of gas in it due to it breaking down each time I've used it. 3 out if 3 is pretty bad. The drive train belt clutch unit is the problem. Over engineering makes this unit unreliable. Seeking a return of unit at this time. "
"I bought a manual power grader on my second use the manual lift & lower mechanism bent. I called customer service they looked at pictures & agreed to send a replacement part. One month nothing. I call again they say its still in the warehouse & will send it immediately. Over another month nothing arrives. Since then I have waited on hold for over 2 hours plus sent a contact email, nothing. Be warned you are taking a big risk buying from these guys, if anything goes wrong you are on your own no matter if you just received the product & are under warranty or not. "
"I bought my PRO44T brush hog in May 2019. As of to date, my fourth battery has die, one rear tire is breaking out of the side wall, on my second spring, the belt comes off each time I run the machine. The retailer I bought it from is trying to get DR POWER to replace the parts but it take weeks to get any replacements. "
"bought a piece of junk 3 pt trimmer fron DR POWER. They had to send 3 different driveshafts to me before i could get 1 to work ! 4 weeks later, i finally got the 3rd one to work, then the whole head of trimmer exploded after 10 minutes. I finally got in touch with some minimum wage customer service person after being on hold for over an hour, told them i want to return this piece of *^%$ and they told me someone would contact me within 48 hours to set up a return authorization. Imagine that , I never got a call back from anybody. Had to call this worthless # and get put on hold again for over an hour and finally got some guy to send me paperwork to send this piece of junk back. Sent it back 3 weeks ago and didnt hear anything from anybody. I called 4 times and each time i was put on hold for over an hour and just give up. After sending 2 threatening emails, 2 more on hold over an hour phone calls , i got thru to somebody and got my refund. What a disastrous company to buy anything from. If you buy something from them, buyer beware if it is bad, you are on your on !!! Never , ever would buy again and since this awful experience, i have run into other people that have had similar issues with them. "
"Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for equipment if you are ordering online and shipping product. Customer service and shipping are horrible. Products are great but if something goes wrong e prepared for hours of phone time. Would never buy another product from DR!"
"My husband purchased a 48” EZ-Dial Manualback on April 19, 2019 for about $700. Before it arrived we learned that our neighbor had a similar tool that we could use. Therefore husband returned it unopened on June 24. As of today, Aug. 27 our credit card has not been credited with the refund. 2 weeks ago we called DR to inquire of the refund status. After 30 minutes waiting for someone to receive our phone call we hung up. Next we emailed them. The website said we could expect a reply within 48 hours. That was 6 days ago. This morning I called them again. So far I have listened to their banjo music for almost 60 minutes. I have also sent them a private message. Their website says they usually reply within the hour. We’ll see.
Well, well, well. Someone answered my call. Supposedly it is taken care of. "
"We bought the brush cutter many years ago and have been very happy with it. Also purchased new blades that were delivered as promised. Then purchased the trimmer mower and used it for years before purchasing the same one because we need it for our 7 acres. Just this year I have it being worked on because I left the gas and oil in it over the winter. Also purchased the wood splitter about 3 year ago and happy with that one too. I am now purchasing the PRO 16 battery powered mower so I can get under my trees easier and in my garden.
DR has always been there for us."
"I've had a Pro 26 Walk behind mower for two years. It has been a beast and has worked well for clearing my land. In addition, I purchased the blade attachment for plowing my driveway on snow days.
Getting the equipment was a nightmare. From ship date, to receipt at the trucking terminal, it was over six weeks, with many weeks of DR telling me they would track it down and get back to me. They never would get back to me despite their promises.
I recently ordered the chipper attachment for my mower. When told over the phone at time of order (7/19/19) that the item would ship in 5-7 business days, I took it with a grain of salt. I called yesterday to check on the status and was told that my item was showing as a ship date of 8/22/19. The rep told me that she would check with the warehouse to get more information and contact me. I heard nothing, so called again to check. The rep today told me that I was scheduled to ship on 8/31/19, despite the website showing my product as "In stock - ships in 1-3 business days".
Hold times on the phone for me have never been less than 30 minutes and rarely has the rep been able to help or stand behind information posted on website.
Over time, I have emailed ****@**** several times with questions. Not once have I received a reply."
"Let me start by saying I had my doubts about this DR Premier 26. Especially after reading some of the unbiased reviews others had written. But the warranty was ironclad (I am a legal type guy)
After doing the research we decided to buy one (and an extended warranty - $199.00).
I have had it for a few weeks now and will break the experience down into several categories for the reader:
1) Ordering and Price - Ordering was pretty straight forward, web site was clear and accurate and the unit I bought was on sale for $1399.00 - Happy with this category.
2) Shipping - Shipping is a bit .. lets say.. "creative"! The unit get shipped to a "depot" where you can go pick it up.. keep in mind these are very heavy and one person cannot pick it up and put it in a truck. It has to be driven into your pickup but you have to assemble it first because it comes in a couple of pieces on a pallet.. no one tells you that part. I wanted mine delivered to my ranch (They did this for free, but I need my forklift to get it off of the truck..) Delivery service was by contract carrier who did call me before delivery but arrived late (after 8pm) due to a break down en-route. In any case I got it off the truck and into my equipment building with my fork lift.
3) Assembly - Straight forward, easy and completed in a few minutes with standard skills and tools. Instructions were very good. Un-crating actually took longer as another reviewer reported.
4) Fuel, oil and start up - easy and no issues. Started right up on the second pull.
5) Operation/Brush cutting Day 1 - First day out and within the first hour the belt came off of the drive wheels.. this is not 'user-friendly so I took it into a local authorized DR repair shop - belt had been "put on wrong" according to the mechanic who proceeded to tell me that the machine was "junk" since Generac bought the company.. (I don't agree and frankly the kid was obnoxious anyway..). DR covered the repair under the warranty and I brought the machine home to continue working the following weekend.
Operation/Brush cutting Day 2: Fired right up and off I marched into the brush. The machine cut through 3 feet tall Chamise and Buck Brush and mowed down four feet tall grasses like a hot knife thru butter! Incredibly powerful it ran all day and I cleared two acres of land that hasn't seen the brush cut down in years. Someone described the experience as "wrestling a bear.." I agree -more like a big monster of a bear.. (I am a big guy but it wore me out after about six hours of up and down hill work through some of the toughest brush California has to offer.
Operation/Brush cutting Day 3: Manzanita, small hardwood saplings and rattlesnakes in the poison oak! I really pressed the DR into heavy labor through manzanita brush (very hard wood!), some oak and wild plum saplings and four foot high poison oak..(I don;t recommend this for the person who is effected by this plant.. it doesn't bother me.) I ran over two rattlesnakes while mowing the brush and grass down and the machine simply vaporized them! I am very pleased with the operational ability of the machine so far.
Operation - HILLS - Be careful.. the recommended 20 degree max is true - the machine is heavy and can get the better of you. The lubrication system is such that you cannot mow on inclines for very long over 20 degrees without risking oil issues.. the machine will also roll backwards if you're not careful when in neutral ("N").. I found that letting the machine work, works better than trying to manhandle it.
Fuel consumption - Use good fresh gasoline - It burns up the entire tank in about four hours.. it's about what one would expect from a 10.3 HP 'no name' engine. (It's actually a RADO 10.3 engine.. Google it.. as I said, "No Name".)
Air filters - A two part or dual air filter system will **** dirt like there's no tomorrow. Order extra filters and change often - follow instructions in the included operators manual.
Customer Service - Many thanks to the excellent customer service (especially the tech guys). Main complaint is that they get either a lot of call for service and tech advice or they don't have enough of them working the phones as it takes forever to get one on the phone - once on the phone they rock!
In conclusion - If you read this whole thing you have too much time on your hands - but thank you! This machine is WELL WORTH the money (especially at $1,399.00) - It will provide many years of hard labor for me and I suspect it will last beyond me to my heirs. "
"I’ve bought the dr brush mower and string mower. The brush mower has broken three times and I’ve waited weeks and months for parts and service.
DR has made it clear each time they could care less. They don’t respond. Wait times on the phone can go to a half hour. Their “advice” was all wrong once and I’ve had to wait for weeks and months for parts.
Their assurances about their seriousness to get everyone back up and running is bogus hype."
"I've had a DR chipper for years - worked great. But recently I needed to do some major maintenance/repair. Ordered parts - orders if (for weeks) in state of 'processing'. Spoke with three customer reps and each has promised to look into the order and email me a status. Have received nothing from them. Ordered on 6/17/2019, all parts stated to ship in 7-10 days. That's proved to be totally in error. Calling their support line is an exercise in futility. They must have one person answering calls - the queue seems to start at '15th in queue' and that number goes down very slowly. The current call, been on for 20 minutes, and I'm only at 10th in queue. That's ridiculous to only handle 5 callers in 20 minutes!
I'll not be buying any more DR power equipment. Thinking I'll have to junk the chipper in the metal heap and find someone else to get one from. Very disappointing.
