I'm beginning to see why dakmart has such abysmal ratings. They tend to ignore emails and hide behind answering machines apparently, as numerous emails and calls went unanswered.
It was only when I sent notice that I would file a dispute with my credit card that I finally got a response from "head of customer service" or some such, Kevin, which conversation was evasive and unproductive and ended with Kevin telling me to go ahead and file a dispute with my credit card company and then hanging up.
I made this purchase Jan 4. Didn't receive it until the 15th, but since it was broken out of the box still do not have the use of it. And, according to Denon, it's not at their shop so who knows. The company dakmart had me ship the unit to is called "panurgy" not denon. No repair status is forthcoming from dakmart since Kevin was too busy hanging up to get me any pertinent information.
Ohh, and dakmart is vote bribing - flyer included inside Denon package indicates $10.00 cash for posting reviews - but they won't pay if the review is "bad" as Kevin told me today. My initial review was neutral, but I've changed it to "lower than snakebellies" as of today based on my overall experience so far."

This is a great company. Although they are giving me $10 in the hope that I tell you this fact, I really am an unbiased responder. I'll prove it by saying there is one thing that bothers me about buying from them.
If I wish to return this item, it will cost me almost as much as I originally paid for it. This is because of the 20% "restocking" fee and eating the cost of shipping the product to you and back to them. Thus, on a $35 purchase, I would net about an $8 refund. (Your results may vary.) Some would say that this is merely the hidden cost of changing your mind. Sounds to me like you'd better be damn sure this is what you want before you buy it.
Nevertheless, I believe refurbished items are a good alternative to buying new because the product has been examined and re-warranted (in this case by the manufacturer). This means I don't have to pay new product prices while getting a "more reliable than new" and less expensive product. The only drawback is that these are generally not cutting-edge (that is, recently developed) products. So if you need the latest of something and make sure you have lots of money to spend on all the fancy new-and-improved gadgets that will become obsolete soon anyway. If you like to "shop around" and are willing to settle for something to hang on to for a while, I say buy re-furbished. You'll be glad you did.

"Don't understand what all the fuss is about. they sell refurbished products at half price and charge a bit more for shipping and handling. I bought sennheiser 280 pro's and the shipped to me fast and I was able to get into contact with them about not being able to charge my credit card. Bofa somehow didn't work. I would reccomend them though, I personally had a good experience with Dakmart. The phone doesn't work though which was shady at first but they do respond to e-mails. I was not expecting newegg like quality for the price but try were great."

"DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM DAKMART!!! I ordered a refurbished Denon Recevier over a week ago. I did receive an email telling me the order had been placed. However, I tried to send 2 seperate emails and called to see if I could see the status of the order. I did not get any responses from my emails and I kept getting a voice mail when I tried to call. I called my credit card company to see if it had been charged and it was charged immediately after the order was placed.
I just received an email today stating the order was never charged to my credit card and they do not stock the item I wanted to purchase. Anyone can have the best price on products they do not stock. This is not the wat to run an online store.

"I was utterly disappointed with my experience with Dakmart. I ordered a pair of Sennheiser RS130 Wireless headphones from them because they had an excellent price on them. However, I was unaware because the site did not indicate that the item was out of stock.
I called the customer care number, to which I received a "Hello?", after which I had to check and make sure I called the right place. Never in my life have I have a customer service person answer his phone with a "Hello?" before. Not only that, but when I canceled the order, the support person said the card would not be billed, so I tried to use it for an Amazon purchase, which was declined because Dakmart already withdrew the funds from the gift Visa card. I had to go through a bunch of hoops to get Dakmart to take the funds off hold so I could use them.
I ended up having to have a conference call with my bank company and the Dakmart people. The whole thing took up a whole day of my life, and I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DAKMART AGAIN. Save yourself a huge headache, stick to customer care oriented companies like Amazon. "

I then placed another order for a similar item and again subsequently received an email that the item wasn't available. I just wasted alot of time and won't bother trying to order from them again."
