"After I placed the order I got a very quick response. I emailed them about sending the shipment to my office and I got a fast reply. This is where the quality customer service ends. They charged $11 for shipping of a piece of paper. This was OK as they had a good price. However from Seattle to Los Angeles, UPS shipping, I should have gotten it in 3 days. After a week I asked for a tracking number. They very nicely responded they would look it up and they would get back to me. 2 days later, no response. I then emailed them giving them a day to get me the information. Again no response. I have sent them one last email canceling the order. I would not order from these folks because of the reasons about and the fact they do not have a customer service phone number where they answer the phone.
As addendum, I did finally get the product by US Mail instead of UPS. On their website, it clearly states that they charge no more than the actual cost to ship the product. The envelope from MACK where it was shipped was 44 cents. Digitalgiftstore charged $11.11

"AWFUL! I ordered a watch winder as a gift the Digital Gift Store (AKA DigitalGiftStore.com) on Tuesday morning 10/20 with a note saying it is gift and MUST be delivered by 10/30. The website clearly noted there were 10 items in stock at the time I placed the order. They wrote back twice asking for my pone number and CVV, which, were correct on the original order form. When asked about the shipping timeline for a California recipient I was told, "This order is shipping from California and should reach the gift recipient very quickly." On Friday 10/23 at 5:45 pm DigitalGiftStore.com called to say the item was not in stock.
Calling Friday after business close left me in a major bind, I cannot get this product locally. I cannot get it to the recipient on time without expedited shipping costs since weekend orders are shipped till Monday or Tuesday and I need it by Friday. They offered no alternative solutions. I am livid that they can get away with a blatant lie on the website about their inventory. Apparently DigitalGiftStore.com does not have any inventory on hand; it all comes from other distributors. Do not use this company. "

Due to limited space, making a detailed and long story short. DigitalGiftStore.com and their sister companies are wonderful in product quality, best pricing on the internet, and customer service and support. As a result, this has been one fun online buying experience and their Customer Service Department made the difference.
Being analytical a great deal of time was invested in searching out a quality product to replace my five year old worn office managers fabric chair. I decided to step up to a quality leather high back executive chair and there are plenty to choose out on the market. I chose a Boss B7501 office chair for the quality and feel of LeatherPlus, soft vs. hard and cold. The 27 inch base for added stability is important as I've had my current 24.5 inch base chair slip out from under me several times. The high back speaks for itself, plenty of padding, lumbar support, adjustable in many directions and I decided I had to have padded armrest too. This quality chair is backed by a six year limited warranty by Norstar Companies the parent of Boss Office Products. Both companies have a strong reputation. Don't even bother spending the 3/4 day I did visiting your local office stores. Their chair quality is low, price is very high, and most are only 25 inches in seat width. DigitalGiftStore provides low honest shipping charges, UPS shipping with tracking included, and no taxes. The savings were considerable. Now, on with my customer service side of the story as I created a screwed up situation for myself but they saved me.
I received a follow up call from a different Customer Service member insuring my questions and challenges were being addressed. Let me share with you my experience. I have to say my dealings with all members at DigitalGiftStore, and customer service at Boss Office Products, has been exemplary. I have high expectations the quality of the product will match the business and customer service. If so, this will have been an satisfying experience for me.
As a result of my panicked screw up, I sent a request email not expecting a response for at least 48 hours. The response was immediate. The Customer Service member I initially received contact was helping me on a holiday while working from her home. She was exhibiting in practice the key principles I coach clients in personal development and success. Success in customer retention especially, is for Customer Service members to "take ownership" of the customer's presented problem or other challenge. Follow it through to the end, do not leave them hanging, do not pass the buck or put them into a "phone message system." The resulting relationship of trust, acknowledgment, empathy, and solution oriented mentality, creates a "powerful" bond of loyalty. She did a great job of this in practice.
UPDATE: September 20, 2009 - I received the merchandise, executive leather office chair, via UPS at noon on Thursday the 17th. The product was well packaged and received an new and undamaged condition. It only took me about 15 minutes to assemble the chair and start enjoying it. The chair is everything advertised, very comfortable, attractive, professional, and all aspects work well. I love the 27 inch base as my last chair was a 24.75 inch base. This new chair is much more stable and doesn't slip our from under you if sitting on the edge of the seat.
This has been a very positive and satisfying business experience. I've even received follow up emails from my contact in Customer Service. Excellent! I highly recommend this company.

"This sure seems like an April fools joke. I tried to buy something from digital gift store. Received my confirmation email and all should be good. A couple days later, they informed me that the free shipping code does not apply. Meanwhile, the website took the promo code and I even have an email confirmation saying my item will be shipped. They told me my order was canceled and I would have to pay for shipping if I still want the item.
If it was other stores, they would honor my promo code cause it is their system error that the code went through. Instead of honoring the $12 free shipping, they now don't have a customer and have a bad review."

"My wife bought me a watch winder and the on-line description was not clear as to how it operates. It turns out their model is not compatible with my brand of automatic watch. It was returned with all boxes, instructions, plastic wrap, etc., in other words in perfect condition. The original cost was $85.00 but my resulting refund, after a very convoluted return process, was $43.00. They kept over $41.00 ! Their lame excuse was to quote their return policy, buried in their web site and one that leaves many items relating to returns completely vague. They also claim the watch winder I returned generated a 25% restocking fee as it was healthcare item. One other thing, if you make an inquiry as to why you were ripped off they will include in their reply a warning that any attempt to reverse the charges via your credit card company will result in them assigning you to a local collection agency. Any company that feels the need to include that sort of wording on the first reply to an inquiry tells you they have had several issues with the credit card carriers. There are plenty of on-line merchants selling virtually the same things so I would look for one that truly has customer service as a number one priority, and stay far away from one like this. "
"What a good shopping experience. Ordered and received product fast. I like the easy approach to the categories of products, and lots of open space to not make shopping a flashy bunch of confusing buttons. Don't get me wrong, they had all the advanced features, just no confusion, clean site. I like the unique products that remind me of sharper image. I received a so called random phone call from Woody Hertzog claiming to be a founder. I thought that was great that someone cared to check in on the activities of a customer and how happy they are. At first though, I thought he was trying to sell me something online and forgot about my order at DigitalGiftStore. Overall, an A+, a great company!
Shipping seems like it started the next day after I ordered. I was given a tracking number and could track this on ups.com. After just 3 days, UPS brought my package which is standard with my other online orders except that it shipped very fast, the very next day -good.
I would like to add that I noticed that in the shopping cart the shipping calculator provided a shipping quote before checking out, which I really liked. I wish you could have that on the product page or just a rough estimate by each price. But that is just an opinion and A+++"

"On june 23 i went to DigitalGiftStore.com to purchase "La Crosse WS-8007U-CRS WS-8007U-CRS-Hurricane Digital Wall Clock" after receiving a spam email from their website or one of their affiliates to purchase this item for 9.95 and get free shipping. So that day i placed an order for eight of this item and used a coupon code "freeship" as stated on the spam email. I completed the order and received a confirmation number for the order with a total of Total 79.60
Next day i get an email from them telling me the order is on hold until shipping is paid. I responded back to this email stating i will not pay for free shipping offer and i never got a responce back, i emailed 3 times after this and i have yet to revive a email back. I also called and left messages and finally after a week i got a call back. I spoke to the sales person who transfered me to the manager. The managers tone was very unprofessional talking to a consumer and she repeatedly told me she will not provide shipping and will be canceling the order because this will be a loss for her company.
I have purchased sever items online and if i have a confirmation number for a order, myself and the company is at an agreement that they will honer that request and i will honer to pay on my end.
There are many websites that offer free shipping and if they do not offer it on a particular item the checkout doesn't accept the code. In this situation the checkout did accept my coupon code and honored my free shipping, yet the company failed to do so.
