"You can deal with this company, but don't expect everything to be perfect. It was my first time ordering from Digital Megastore, and my decision was based purely on the advertised attractive price. I, in fact, haven't checked any references or ratings, when placed an order for 2 Hitachi projectors. Upon the order placement I received an Invoice (order acknowledgement" by e-mail, where I found that will be notified about the tracking number. 6 days later, when I haven't got any shipment notification I checked the company rating in the ResellerRating.com, and became very concerned. There are really 2 people answering: sales - Jason, who sounds nice and polite, and the lady in Customer Service, which has worse manners. Thanks to the reviews, I was prepared for it. So, if you deal with this company, be prepared to wait long minutes on-hold, be prepared to not getting your shipment information, be prepared to push the company to get you, what you need. Anyway, first time I've got all assurances that the order is completed, but nobody could give me an exact information. The second day I spoke to Jason, and to my amaisement, he figured everything out and called me back with the tracking number, as promised. The product, in fact, arrived on-time."
"Digital Megastore was the WORST online shopping experience I have ever had. I ordered a surround sound system from them for 800.00 and even offered to buy a second one if the price was right. They were only willing to take 5 dollars off the extended warranty. I said no thanks. After never receiving a tracking number I started to call Digital Megastore. They were very rude and always rushed me off the phone. I took 2 days off of work because he said the package was arriving at my house tomorrow. It never came. 2 weeks went by and all that time I called them asking for a tracking number. They promised it shipped. 3 weeks now went by. They also said they were getting tracking numbers tonight (after they close) and would send it to me. I never got it. (They told me this on 5 different occasions) Their customer service email does not work. You try to log into your account it does not work. After calling more than 12 times I asked the lady wheres my package...SHE said "I DONT KNOW" I said has it shipped " SHE said "I dont know" I said, "what do you mean you dont know?" Then I finally was fed up and told her look tell me the truth has this package shipped or not. She told me no it has not shipped. So not only did digital megastore sell me an item that was not in stock they lied to me every single day. I had to call my bank and reported them as Digital took my money out of my account the second day. No one at megastore even cared. Funny one of the phone calls the guy told me its coming tomorrow. I said how do you know that I havent even given u my invoice, order number or what the product was. He just rushed to get me off the phone. Do not buy from them their past reviews are very very bad. Also what a coincidence that nearly every review if you look back has the same sales man NAMED in every review. All the customers name him I dont think so. That is highly unlikely. Look at the better business bereau they give them bad scores as well. They also do have several sites with different names but hmmm all with the same adress. They are crooks. LOL it would seem that someone over there would finally wake up as they have been doing the same lousy service for YEARS!!!"

I got a confirmation call from Steve who offered me other items and extended warrentees but did not push when I said I was not interested. With free shipping the camcorder arrived the day before Xmas. Great price, very fast delivery, no bait and switch tactics. I was very satisfied."

"I placed an order with Digital Megastore on 12/13/08 for a 3 to 5 day delivery of a Garmin GPS sytem. It is now 12/22/08 and still no GPS. I called them and they said i'd have it on 12/30/08!! I immediately asked to cancel the order. The guy was rude and said it has already shipped and they didn't even place the order until 12/16/08. He told me if I wanted to cancel the package then to not accept the package when delivered (assuming i'm home that is). If it ends up getting dropped off at my doorstep then I'll take it back to UPS to RETURN TO SENDER. I now have to make sure I get credited with my credit card company. This has been a nightmare b/c this is a Christmas gift and Xmas is in 3 days. I will NEVER order from them again. Very rude customer service people too."
" Well after reading several reviews from this site, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge and buy my camcorder. An HG21. I purchased it on the 2nd, recieved an Email to call and verify address. Upon verification I asked if product was in stock, was told it was so I proceeded with the order and tacked on 2-3 day shipping. Day three came, but camera did not. I called and complained and was told camera would ship on friday as there is a max of 3 days for processing. So upon the waiting one more day, I called back and was told the camera was on back order and would ship out today 12/11/08. As of today, the camera is still not expected to come to them untill the 15th now. It wont ship untill the 16th and now I just pray my wife does not give birth to our new child early! Not very happy with them. Not the way it should have been handled."
"I was looking for a Canon 40d body only and I found Digital MegaStore during one of my online searches. I had been looking at this camera for quite some time so I knew what the going market price was. Digital MegaStore was about $65 lower than Amazon and I consider Amazon a very good barometer of prices. I learned long ago about bait and switch stores such as Broadway Photo and their counterparts that have ridiculous prices and thus I always Google a store name before I even consider contacting them. Resellerratings.com had a favorable track record on them but the BBB had a few exceptions. I decided that any business doing maybe 1,000 orders a week is bound to have their detractors. I decided to call the store and find out what kind of person answered the phone. I didn't get his name but he was extremely polite, took the information, said it would ship the next day and with free shipping I could expect it in about 5 to 7 days.
The camera body arrived today (just 4 days shipping) and it is everything I expected. It's brand new, in the box, with the accessories and with the USA Warranty. I truly thought I could have a battle on my hands but I trusted American Express would bail me out if need be. Digital MegaStore did break up the 40d kit (removed the lens from the kit box) but that doesn't matter to me. I am very pleased and would do business with them again. I don't know anyone there and this is a true testimonial!"
"I had a bad experience with Digital Megastore.
Their shipper, UPS, lost my shipment, a digital camera. This part was a UPS problem and not Digital Megastore's fault. But, Digital Megastore handled the situation very very poorly.
I was first promised by Digital Megastore that I would have to wait 7 days before they could ship out a replacement, while they waited for UPS to process the claim. Most stores I have shopped at will send you out a replacement immediately when a shipment is lost or arrives broken.
7 days later, nothing had happend yet, Digital Megastore had not contacted me. I had to find a time to call them on my own time, and they have fairly limited customer service hours. Then I had to wait on hold for a long time before I was able to get someone on the phone, who told me 5 to 7 more days. To make a long story short. I was repeatedly told that everything would take 5-7 days before they could send me a replacement or get me a refund. I would have to call back 5-7 days later, and would hear the same broken record again and again.
In my opinion the people were extremely nice, but the service was extremely terrible. I don't think I would shop here again, and I would recommend you don't shop here either, unless you don't mind waiting well over a month before getting a replacement or refund on a lost shipment, don't mind having a lingering negative amount on your balance sheet for a long time, and don't mind spending lots of time on hold and following up on your own in case of any customer service issues.
Eventually I was told they were finally agreeing to give me a refund and it would take 5 to 7 days. 5 to 7 days later, still no refund. 5 to 7 days after that I did finally receive a refund, well over a month after my original order."

Bought a new Denon receiver, when delivered, it was a previously opened box and was damaged. I requested a refund and they said they would cover 1/2 the shipping costs (after negotiation); they defaulted on the shipping but refunded. Now they keep me on hold indefinitely now when I call them. They are not worth my time or my money.
Save yourself the $ and headache...avoid Digital MegaStore altogether...I know I will.

The only "surprise" in the process was that the receiver included absolutely no warranty and returns were not allowed unless I bought the $50 3-year extended warranty and free upgrade to UPS Ground shipping. However, even with the $50 included, the product was still significantly cheaper than anywhere else. Fred was very nice and courteous on the phone. Overall I am very satisfied."
"do not trust this seller. They are rude on the phone and very pushy. When they called me after placing the order for a $1100 speaker, they were trying to sell me a warranty, when i said no, they insisted on insurance and said that my item will not be covered for any damages during shipping. They said that the manufacturer wont value any warranties on yamaha products through them. He said that they would treat it as a refurbished item. The man said that Crutchfield was an authorized dealer with warranty but they offer the speaker for over $1900, I then told him that it was $1500. I was nervous that the retailer was a scam from how pushy he was, so I told him that I would cancel the order, he then interrupted me telling me to wait. (i heard typing in the background) the guys comes back on the phone and says "Acutally, I wasn't far off, you were.. Crutchfield is selling it for $1600, so I was closer than you." I said thank you, please cancel my order. He said I'll send you a cancelation email, then hung up the phone so fast that I heard it slam on the receiver.
Anyway, I will be informing AMEX that I dont trust the retailer and am afraid the salesperson will use my credit card #."
"I so wanted this to be a good review but I can’t in good conscious do it. I placed my order on Monday, 6-16, and I received a follow up call on Tuesday, 6-17. When I placed my order for the Zumo 550 it said they were in stock and would ship in 24-48 hours. When I spoke with the store representative on Tuesday, Derek, he also stated they were in stock and would ship out that day. He also stated I would get an email with a tracking number. His attitude and helpfulness was great and although he sold me an extended warranty he did not push it or hard sell it. He gave me the info and I decided. Sounds good so far but heres where it fell apart. I never received an email and to be honest did not think about it till Friday because I was still under the impression I would receive it Monday. They are closed on the weekend so the first time I was able to call was Monday and spoke to Derek. He checked into it and apologized and stated it would be sent out that day, I would receive an email, and that they had a problem with Garmin. Never received the email so I called again Tuesday and spoke with Derek and got the exact same story. I finally asked why it made a difference if he had a problem with their shipment from Garmin because when I ordered I was told by him that there were 40 something in stock. He explained to me that those orders that are placed and then upgraded to overnight or priority mailing are filled before those that are regular shipment, regardless of when the order comes in. They had actually shipped out the ones they had when I ordered to those people who upgraded their shipping when they got the follow up call. I don’t believe that is a correct way to do business, especially when you don’t tell the customer. My part was finally shipped Wednesday, two days longer than the date I was suppose to receive it, and Derek placed priority shipping on it so I did receive it Friday afternoon. The price was right, Derek was friendly and helpful even if a little misleading, and the product has arrived I just need to make sure it works now. Hope this review helps others make a decision. Not a bad place to do business, just be careful and ask the right questions."

After ordering my Panasonic DMC-TZ5 camera, I talked to Fred on the phone(extension 522). He asked me if I'd read all the reviews concerning the poor battery life and long charging time of the baterry that comes with the camera. I had read reviews, but nothing to that effect. He did, however, catch me off guard, and for that reason I bought an extra $39 battery for the camera on his recommendation.
Upon receipt of the camera, I was surprised to find that the battery that came with the camera charged fully the 1st time in less than 2 hours!
After that I read multiple online reviews praising the battery life of the camera.
In summary- delivery was fast, but I do not appreciate being scammed into buying more than I need. I sent an email to Fred before writing this negative review to let him know of my dissatisfaction- he has not responded to my email.

After numerous contacts to my bank (who said there was nothing wrong) and contacts with this company and management They would not be able to get the product to me in the time they promised unless I paid $27 for overnight shipping.
