Checked shipping AFTER winning, same company... $237.29.
Call the company and the agent says - it's only an ESTIMATE... which may very well be, however when a customer points out a potential issue with the website, it would be better to say perhaps... I'll look into it... rather than dismissing the notion that there could be a bug in the software. Had bad experience with both chat, and email.
Left initial review after completing payment, and almost immediately received an email wanting to discuss the situation.
Very glad that someone took the time to read their reviews, and take effective action.
I did also contact the company who is giving the freight quotes... and they too deflected the issue back to DL. as of now, it's a finger pointing contest between them.
This was my first experience with Direct Liquidation. As I expand my business, I hope to deal more with them. I am happy with the price paid, unhappy with some support, but happy there is someone else who does care about the customer.
UPDATE AFTER DELIVERY:
ended with with fedex shipping for $177 as listing indicated weight of 76 pounds.
I had to pick up item at local fedex location, because a semi cannot access my neighborhood.
imagine my surprise when I go to pick up on a pallet, 2 boxes each weighing appx 14 pounds measuring 12x12x12!
I asked the fedex clerk the actual cost on the shipping, was told it was altered to $112.
the same items could have shipped MEDIA MAIL USPS... for $20 TOTAL!
Spoke with original customer service rep, who offered credits on next purchase, but no 'promise' I would not run into same exaggerated shipping charges next time.
Upon registering with company, you will begin receiving emails from multiple people, wanting to help you 'grow' your business. I decided to schedule a call with Jordan. Had the appointment for 3PM. No call. Checked his emails, and NO PHONE NUMBER. Called the company number and asked for him, was told my information would be passed along. Called back the person who helped with the negative review, was told 'thats a different department'.

Additional followup from those in charge of reviews. Insisting the opportunity to make the shipping issues right. Trying to purchase again to give it another shot.
