"On 3/20/09 I ordered cyclosporine from Discount Pet Drugs. I also paid an upcharge for Priority Shipping as I was about to run out of the drug. On 3/21, my credit card was charged. On 3/27 I called to check on the med, and was told it had shipped on 3/23. On 3/30, I called again and was told it shipped on 3/25. When I questioned this, I was told I would be called back, but never was. The package arrived this afternoon 3/30, actually shipped on 3/27 via Parcel Post. So, they shipped the product 6 days after I was charged for it, did not ship it by the method I paid for, and lied to me twice about the shipping date! I would NOT RECOMMEND them, nor will I shop with them again.

"This company should be avoided at all cost.I ordered 3 bottles of Ettiderm shampoo and when the box arrived 2 had opened and spilled out.The bottles were simply put into a priority box with NO packing.They shifted during shipment due to poor packing.I tried to conatct them numerous times to no avail.I finally did reach someone who was rude and said nothing he could do.I contacted the NY State Attorney General and they tried to help but after numerous attempts Discount Pet Drugs would not respond. "This company is horrific. I was lefd to beleive that my order for Sammy's arthritis would be coming any day. I caled three weeks in a row and each time someone from the company told me that it was shippied yesterday. I got the same answer today and when they told me it would arrive by Friday and they couldn't give me the tracking number until tomorrow it was just another excuse to get me off the phone. They told me that my medication was on backorder and that they emailed me the information. That did not happen. They also charged my credit card the same day I placed the order before my vets prescription even arrived, via fax. I will be disputing this on my credit card as well. "I ordered online 2 medications for my sick pets. I asked for 2nd day shipping. This was Thursday Evening 11-6. One of the items required a prescription which my Vet faxed to petdiscount on 11-9. I checked the web page for order status and none was given. I emailed them and got no response. I left 5 voicemails and received no response. I called 20 times during their business hours and was only given the option of leaving a voicemail. It was unclear from the recorded message as to when I was to start or end the voicemail so it is possible that my voice mails were never properly recorded, but that is their sloppyineess that caused this misunderstanding. This company is thoroughly unprofessional and I will never again order anything from them. If this order does finally come through, I will refuse it and I will dispute any credit card charges. It's shocking that this company is so very shoddy. Judging from reviews given by customers over a year back, they used to be a reliable company. They certainly are no longer."
"This company is a FRAUD I placed a order for Diabetic supplies for my dog on 10/15/08 who is a unstable diabetic I called Discount Pet Drugs on 10/27/2008 to inquire about the status of my order I was told that they would look into the matter and call me back after waiting 2 hrs I called them back I was agin told that I would recieve a call back and an email about my order no phine call and no email. I called again on 10/28/08 to again inquire about my order explained that I would be out of test strips by thursday AM need them ASAP was told that a manager was on the phone with UPS and I would get acall back in 45 minutes an hour and a half later I called back to inquire about the traacking info that they were researching. I was told to log into my account to get ythe tracking info log into my account there is no tracking info there again call them back am told that they can not provide me with the tracking info only the shipping dept has that info to call back in the AM they are now gone for the day. call back again on 10/30/08 inquire about having order overnigh shipped to me am told that his is not possible I try to reason to the person on the other end of the phone that this was not my error and how urgently I need htis order, I ask to speak to a manager I get Xavier what a condesending SOB he is he tells me that the order has already been reshipped I expalin that I need this by Thursday he tells me I will not have it by then and refuses to send the package overnight to me. when I get home from work I have a tracking number for the new order , I call and inquire about the tracking number for the order for the 15th I am givern the number for the reship. I call the USPS because Xavier tells me that the USPS sent the package back to them unclaimed, (why are you calling UPS to track the package then)I call the USPS to inquire about the package that was supposedly returned by them they have no record of this happening and the tracking number fron 10/30/08 was never in the system prior to 10/30/08
I call discount pet drugs again today I am told the only way I can obtain the traking nunmber is to email them and i will get a email back from them with the tracking number after they have contacted there legal department who will then disclose this information (ARE YOU KIDDING ME)I inform Xavier that I no longer want this item and to cancel the order he refused and told me I will have to wait up to 30 day to recieve a refund, I have contactd my credit card company and filed a complaint as well as the FTC and Better Business Bureau. I bought meds from you in June didn't get the products until month and a half later which was way too long! I tried to email you but I didn't get a response so I had to call! I talked to a person on the phone & the first time he said it was on the way and would arrive in the next couple days. When I still didn't get the items I ended up having to take my dog to the vet because I had ran out of the drops waiting for the shipment which cost me $120. I was really upset because I could have ordered the meds from another site which had them for $1 more and didn't have the reviews that your site did on slow shipping time but I had drops for her ears so I figured that even if it took a few days longer it would be ok! I never thought this order would take over a Month!! The last conversation I had with the guy who answers the phone he was confused on why my order had never shipped!! I wanted to canceled my order but he said I had to talk to another guy who wasn't in and that he would have him call me lol that never happened!! I did end up receiving the order 2 weeks later.
The major problem happened when I woke up July 26 to find that my card had been used Walmart in St. Louis, MO 3 different times with a total over $700. I am from Cincinnati, OH and did still have my card!! This site was the only site that I had made any purchases from that didn't offer Pay-pal! I am starting to wonder since your service sucks so bad if this site is just a front so that you can gather up card numbers to use!! I will never order from your site ever again but I do think if you aren't the one using the credit cards numbers that you should either get better security for your site or offer pay-pal! Please take me off your mailing list so that my time isn't wasted even more having to delete your emails!!

"Ordered 2 different ear medications on Aug.14, 2008. Vet received fax for 1 of the 2 medications Aug.19 after I called them 2 times. They sent and additional fax for the other medication after I called them again. I thought I was saving money by ordering from Discount Pet Drugs and didn't think waiting a couple extra days before I started the medication would hurt. It' now been 5 days and was told that the priority ground shipping was 3 days starting tomorrow. I will never order from Discount Pet Meds again and would not recommend they to anyone. When you call it sounds like a couple of teenagers working out of a garage."

"Dear Discount Pet Drugs,
I am contacting you regarding my questions and concerns.
I recently did an internet search for a supplier for enzymes for my dog with severe pancreatic issues. Your name came up in a Google search (and through a number of rating websites that I researched). I felt that I had found the answer to our problem of finding a regular monthly supplier of Prozyme. I placed my first order with you on Monday August 4th, 2008, order #3XXX57 and added what would be an additional monthly purchase of Vetri-DMG Liquid to my order. I chose UPS GROUND SHIPPING, which, upon referencing my order, you will note is indicated clearly.
I received my order on Monday, August 11th via United States Postal Service. It sat, most likely for several days, inside of a metal community mailbox outside in our neighborhood which is located in Southern Nevada. Currently, our temperature is 102 F. The inside of the METAL postal box reaches temperatures of, at a LOW, 130 F. I am certain that your “in house vet” will concur with the Prozyme company’s statement that digestive enzymes OF ANY SORT should NOT be exposed to extreme temperatures for extended periods of time. Additionally, the Vetri-DMG liquid expanded inside it’s vial, due to excessive heat, and leaked all over the inside of the Priority Mail box my order was sent in, rendering a $33.15 purchase (including $4.95 shipping) utterly useless.
I have called your 888 number, hoping to speak with ANY of your “caring staff members [there] at Discount Pet who would love to help” and have NEVER reached any human beings, however, I have left MANY messages. It was only AFTER my husband left a disgruntled phone message last evening (he is an attorney and is now as frustrated as I am in our attempt to resolve this issue amicably), that a rather curt young man from your company called us this morning. He indicated that we should send the ruined product back via USPS Priority Mail at OUR OWN expense, and wait for Discount Pet Drugs to send replacement product. We have a couple of major issues with this:
This product was ordered PROPERLY by us to be sent UPS GROUND at a cost of $4.95 and was shipped IMPROPERLY via US POSTAL service at a cost of .85 CENTS (as is indicated by the postal label which is pasted OVER the addressed label to us. I would be happy to oblige you with photos of the box, its labels and the leaked product which has soaked into the cardboard, if you would like these for your records.
In awaiting our order’s arrival and in trying to resolve the matter of this botched shipment, we have exhausted our personal remaining supply of Prozyme which had NOT been exposed to extreme temperatures. We dare not use the product you sent which has been exposed to excessive heat because of being shipped improperly, as the Prozyme company CLEARLY indicates the following on it’s label: “STORE IN A DRY AREA OUT OF EXTREME HEAT AND DIRECT SUNLIGHT”. The following warning is ALSO printed on the Vetri-DMG Liquid’s label: “STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE”.
I would venture that at this point in reading my complaint, we both might agree on at least a couple of things: As the box these products were shipped in was sitting outside in a giant metal oven for several days in temperatures in excess of 130 degrees F, the conditions were NOT “cool” and NOT “out of extreme heat”. Additionally, as I have indicated the Vetri-DMG Liquid expanded inside it’s vial due to extreme heat exposure and leaked all over the inside of the priority mail box, neither were the conditions IN ANY WAY DRY. Finally, the order was not sent in the manner we requested in view of the fact that the products are both quite perishable.
The rude individual who called us this morning from Discount Pet Drugs from phone number ***-***-****, told us that he had an “in house vet” that he “consulted with” and that the “in-house vet” said these products would be fine to use on our pancreatic dog. I find it difficult to believe that Discount Pet Supply’s in-house veterinarian somehow trumps the veterinarians who have developed both Prozyme’s products as well as the VETRI-SCIENCE products. If that is indeed the case, you should perhaps look into the development of your own product line which can be shipped improperly and survive moisture and extreme temperatures. I imagine, given Discount Pet Drugs propensity for improper shipping, that there is quite a market for products that can survive your shipping methods.
I am an EXTREMELY unhappy customer. I did NOT receive the order in the manner I paid for, nor did I receive ANY product that is usable. At this point, the only thing that will satisfy us as customers is a REFUND. Again, I would be happy to oblige you with photos of the box, its shipping/postal labels and the leaked product which has soaked into the cardboard box, if you would like these for your records.
As a final note, I called both Vetri-Science AND Prozyme Products, Ltd. directly. Their helpful AND caring staff members told me that the products will IN NO WAY remain effective after exposure to extreme temperatures for long periods of time; in particular, Vetri-Science said that the efficacy of their product is seriously compromised as a result of being exposed to heat. You might wish to inform your “in-house vet” of this vital information as it would prevent him or her from giving out erroneous and perhaps harmful product information.

BUT...incorrect items were shipped. I sent 3 e-mails, but never received any response. Tried the phone line for customer service, and NO ONE ANSWERED! No message, no voicemail box. Amazing. Finally made "live" contact but was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. I was then told that the item I had ordered was no longer in stock. Will I see a refund? Hard to imagine. SHOP ELSWHERE."
"The worst attempt at customer service I have ever experienced. The phone personnel lied to me, stalled and when I finally received a tracking number, there was no record of it.
I would gladly pay more for any pet medications to a more reliable and customer service oriendted company.
I also find it interesting that they "say" there office is in New England but they have Pacific time zone hours. If anyone has a contact address for them or has the name of the owner, I would love to have that information."
