"Discount Pet Drugs has horrible customer service. I placed an order requiring a prescription. While placing the order, I entered my vet's info, assuming the seller would verify my prescription. Nowhere on the website do they say anything about sending in a prescription, they only ask for the vet's contact info. After not receiving my order a week and a half later, I called and was told that I needed to send them the prescription. I have no doubt that had I not called to check on my order, they just would have taken my money and never have shipped my order. I faxed in the prescription that day and was told that my order would be shipped out next day air. Two weeks later I still had not received my order, so I call again. I'm told that my order shipped, but when I ask why my order confirmation still shows no status and no tracking number, they have no answer for me. They say they'll look into it and get my order shipped out. A few days later I STILL have no status or tracking number so I call yet again. And "coincidentally" the tracking number from USPS had just showed up and he posts it to my order confirmation as I'm on the phone with him. It still takes another 2-3 days for my order status to change from "shipping info received" to "shipped". All in all, it took a little over a month and three nasty phone calls to get my order shipped. I will never order from this merchant again. I don't care if I have to pay twice as much for the product elsewhere."
"Terrible service. Customers beware! Not a real company! They never answer their phone calls, or even respond to emails! Received order 2 weeks later, and order 3 items. Only one item was shipped, and two were missing. On the receipt, all there was, was big scribbly blue all over! Can they be more clear, like item is backordered, or item is out of stock?? Terrible service, and the one item they did send, was not even sealed. Normally, this shampoo, has the protective seal inside the bottle, when you unscrew the cap. This did not. I will not use! I don't even know if they put some other liquid inside...So do not waste the time or stress with this company. I disputed with my credit card, and I am getting my money back. "
"Update 7/31/09 We got the package finally 11 days after ordering so I am happy there but they still do not answer the phone. I would not order again because of that alone--scary. rj
I think this company may have folded. I placed an order on 7/20/09 and got an email acknowledging the order. But no package. Have tried calling three times (during their advertised business hours) to get an update and no one answers the phone. I let it ring a LONG time, no answer, no voice mail. Cannot even leave a message.

They use the same excuse and scam practice on orders they do not send. When you inquire about shipping and tracking, they will tell you it was sent already and will email you the tracking number – they will not email a tracking number. Then they tell you it was sent at a later date – still no tracking. Then they tell you they have a problem with backorder on some of the products…. No shipping – period.
Do a chargeback with your credit card and REPORT THIS FRAUD !

"I wish I had found this site before I placed my order with Discount Pet Drugs. I agree with all the reviews that their customer "service"is HORRENDOUS!!! I placed an order mid June and have not received it to this day -- 5 weeks later! I made a complaint via email with no reply or response. Every time I actually called to check on the status of the order, a rather condescending rep gave me some excuse as to why the order was being delayed. Why didn't they tell me this so I wasn't sitting around all this time waiting on my dog's medication and food?! I had to call them to find out? A simple email would have sufficed as notification... I'm going to attempt to call the owner/manager tomorrow to complain. They've lost me as a customer. They have forgotten the number one principle of "customer service": Right or wrong, the customer is the customer. And without them, they would not be in business."
"This is the worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I can see by the reviews posted here that I am not alone in my assessment. I just wish I would have checked the reviews before I dealt with them. Judging by the sound of the person I spoke with the one time I was able to talk to someone I get the feeling that this “company” is a fly-by-night outfit that’s being run out of someone’s garage.
Shortly after ordering from them I realized that I had ordered the wrong dose of Deramaxx. I immediately called them and was told that the product had already shipped. I was also told that when I receive the package I should mark it “refused – return to sender” and that they would credit my account as soon as they received the returned package. The package I received looked very amateurish, but I did as I was instructed and returned it unopened.
When I got my credit card statement I noticed that it had not been credited for the cost of the returned product. I sent them three emails and left two messages on their voice mail asking what I could do to resolve this issue. They didn’t call me back or respond to my emails.
I guess I’ve just been robbed of $120. Obviously I will never recommend this company to anyone even though their advertised prices are lower than most. I guess this is a case of getting what you pay for and from now on I will definitely pay a few bucks more and deal with a reputable company.

Discount Pet Drugs has laughed at me, hung up on me, put me on hold forever, promised to have a manager call back, not returned my emails. I've been given tracking numbers that do nothing. They hid behind their website for good reason. I called them, then e-mailed them May 30 to get my tracking number as
they had not sent one.
June 3 they finally responded and sent me the tracking information. I
had already received my package that morning.
They shipped the wrong product. I tried to call them again but only get
a message promising to call back if I leave me information.
Later that same day they emailed me informing me to send back package
for corrected merchandise and they will also credit me for the shipping.
I sent the incorrect order back. They received it June 6th 9:46AM

They refuse to contact me or return any calls.
They now owe me 44.85 plus 7.51 for shipping.
They have not sent my corrected order.

Some kid answered the phone. At first he denied several times that they received their merchandise back so we had to go over that. He thought it was funny and was laughing some, about the whole predicament. Really rude. I bet when his parents get home and see what he's done to their business they'll really be mad.
Finally he gave me a refund. Not quite all of it but most.

"I tried to fax my prescription twice yesterday and neither times did it go through. I called and talked to Joseph twice and I never talked to anyone so rude before. He just told me to fax again or they would call the vet. My stepfather called back and spoke with William and he said the order would be shipping because they got the fax. Of course the fax never went through. He then said he got the information from the vet. I called the vet and that did not happen either. My stepfather and I are both on disability and trying to get by. We know that we have been scammed. All I had to do was look up your business and read the reviews. I am certain you guys are getting a real kick out of screwing people out of their money. We are both Veterans and honorable people. I don't think you would understand what that means. I also know from reviews that you will not answer this email or if you do ship will not send a tracking number. Mean time I must get another prescription because I had to have heartworm treatment done for my dog once before and really don't have time for your immature games.
Since posting this review I finally got in touch with the owner/manager Mr. Gold. He assured me the product would be shipped. A few days later it arrived. How I do not know. My vet said they were not contacted and the fax did not go through. Product is as ordered.

I placed another order recently and it was a disaster. One item in the order required a prescription. I emailed the prescription along with the order. A day or so later I got an email asking for the prescription, so emailed it to them again. Several week later, after several mof my email inquiries had gone unanswered, when I still hadn't received my order, I checked on the status, and...they said they needed my prescription. So I faxed it in, and when I checked back, they still...needed my prescription. So, I cancelled my order. I then found they had charged my credit card even though the order didn't ship. It took a couple more calls to get my money refunded.
Bottom line, I will never order from them again."

today I am writting to say that my credit card has been used by this company. I have no product. I have sent 4 emails to them, with no repsonse, in fact the emails were not delivered becauase they they had 544 unopened emails in their company mail box.

I truely would call this clear and simple FRAUD and stealing someone elses hard earned money.

"I ordered a 3-pack of Denosyl for dogs (225mg) on March 30, 2009; my credit card was billed. I received the order two weeks later and it contained the wrong item (90mg). No one answered on the customer service number and I had to leave a voicemail. No one called me back and I called again two days later and was told that the correct item would be sent out that day. A week later, I had still not received the correct product, so I called again and had to leave another voice mail. No answer, so I called again a day later. Now they told me that they wouldn't send out the correct product until after I returned the incorrect product...they then emailed me the UPS label. They said that they would check later that day and as long as the package was sent off, they would get my correct product into the mail. I called in 5 days later as still no product had arrived...oops, no one checked and still no product had been shipped. They promised me (for the 3rd time) that my product would be sent out today and I should get it in 2-3 business days. Today is May 4th. The customer service is rude, they hang up, they don't return calls, they lie. This company is just not worth dealing with in trying to save a few dollars. DON'T USE THEM!

"I have a very sick dog with renal failure. I ordered some of their medication in hopes to help her or at the least make her more comfortable. I paid for priority shipping and expected the package on Saturday or Monday. On Monday I called and was told it was shipped on Saturday and would email a tracking. No further contact. On Tuesday I was told it had mailed on Monday and a tracking number would be emailed. On Wednesday I was told they would track it and get me the number via email. On Thursday I was told they would again get me an email with the tracking number. I told them I wanted it immediately and he could not give it to me as it is over in the shipping dept. I would also like to add that they attempted to charge my credit card for an additional order I did not place. Luckily while constantly watching for their emails I caught it before it was too late and contacted them to cancel that order as I never placed a 2nd order with them, especially since I have not received the first order. He did cancel that order. So far, no product, no emails and just a rude person on the other end. This is a sad company.I also would like to note that they claim their offices are in New England, but they have business hours under Pacific Standard time. Do yourself and especially your pet a favor and avoid these people at all costs. Pay more for what you want, at least you'll get it without major aggravation."
