"Discount Tire used to be awesome. But, unfortunately, they've gone downhill over the last 3 years. It started when I went in and got my tires rotated, and afterwards when i was driving away down the highway, a hubcap fell off. Not a big deal, things happen. But then 6 months later the same thing happened AGAIN, right after i left the store. (That time the person driving behind me had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting my rolling hubcap going down the highway). But even Still, I shook it off. Then, my dad went and had HIS tires rotated, and had told them he needed some extra air in the fronts because they were down to 20 ft lbs/torque from the 32 its supposed to be at. When he got home, he checked the pressure and they were still at 20 ft lbs of torque! They didn't even touch the air pressure, they just got his car in and out as fast as possible. So he had to add it himself. I stayed a loyal customer even after that, though, because when i got new tires after that they gave me a free one because the tires didnt make the guaranteed warantee (they wore out faster than they should have and I'm a stickler about getting them rotated every 40000 miles). But i went in today to get 2 new front tires. I had a 10 a.m. appointment and was told it would take an hour to an hour +15 min. Not a big deal, it was busy and had snowed the night before. Almost THREE hours later, they finally finish. They NEVER PUT ME IN AS AN APPOINTMENT EVEN THOUGH I MADE IT ON THEIR WEBSITE!! To top it off, they put me down under the wrong account/name in the computer so they never called my name when they were done, they called someone else. So when i got my receipt, 30 mins after they finished my car and didn't call my name, it said i had a camry and not a corolla. It had the wrong license plate. I had to drive back and make sure they got the torque specs right on the lug nuts, and then i had to make them put my new 2 wheel purchase under my real name so that when i go to get them rotated they can pull me up on the system and see the purchase so they rotate them under warantee and not charge me.
Also, when i went to my car the first time after they were done, I got in my car and not only was my hand break not pulled up, but it wasnt in gear either (its a manual transmission) so by some miracle it didn't roll out of the hilly parking lot they put it in a block away from the shop because all the front parking lot spots were full.
Its just the consistent lack of quality service that has led me to decide affirmatively that i will ultimately go with a different company next time i need new tires. Its a shame, discount used to always be awesome. Oh well. Off to Big-O or firestone i go. Anyone but DT."
"FIrst, I ordered five wheels and tires with four TPMS sensors (no need for one in the spare) installed. I received them shortly thereafter and there's no indication as to which ones have sensors. I call them and Tomas asked me to send him pics of the valve stems, so I do. He has no idea either but suggests that I get them read in by a shop, and that will identify them. Took it to a shop and was told that all of the sensors were bad (turned out to be none of them were bad after I took it to another shop) so I wrote to Tomas AND to Discount Tire's Consumer Affairs email address. Three days later, still no reply or offer of help. I took the car to Merchants Tire and they were able to sort out the issues but zero reply from Discount Tire's Customer Service??? Unbelievable considering I spent $1,000 with them. Tirerack.com for all orders after this. Never again."
"The guys here took my tire off the rim to patch it. Then wouldn’t and refused to put the tire back on the rim. Just threw it in the bed of my truck. 100% incompetence from all staff members and very rude and in helpful. Will never do any type of business with the entire company again!"
"Discount tire list wheels as having "Over 12 In-Stock". When I placed the order, I get a call that says that they are discontinued and they will have to special order the exact wheels in Black. I asked why they have to special order them when their website says that they have over 12 of those wheels too.... Oh an those cost more too. The customer rep said that their website is terrible and incorrect. I will NEVER USE YOU AGAIN. I have bought numerous wheels and tires from you over the last years. My racing clubs (over 200 autocrossers and track friends) will hear of this too. False Advertising is a bad thing. I have the call recordings and screenshots if you wish to hear and see them."
"By Far the best tire seller/retailer ever. Ive been using them for years now with various vehicles. The prices offered are by far the lowest, but that's not what makes them the best. Their Customer Service and Support is by far the best I've experienced in the industry. Just recently (6 months back) I Purchased a set of Nankang tires for my vehicle. This time around I decided to decline the warranty for road hazard which was 7 dollars a tire for me. I called after experiencing a road hazard injury to one of my tires 6 months after purchase. Spoke with an amazing Customer Service Rep "Diego" who was able to help me out. Not only did he allow me to add the coverage on the 3 good tires he was able to send me a replacement tire for free and add coverage to that. Basically saving me the cost of purchasing a single tire for over a 100 bucks. AMAZING SERVICE AND PRICESS!!!"

"I have had big trouble with Discount Tire Inc twice. I will never use them again.
On my BMW M3 they installed new rear tires. When I got home and attempted to clean them the manufacture date code showed 4 years 22 months old. I went back and they ordered newer date code tires. They should have never installed them in the first place. What if I never checked the date code?
On my Jeep Wrangler I have bead lock wheels, I install the tires myself. Three times in the past they have balanced these for me. Now they claim to have a new policy and will not balance any more.

"I had a set of your Arizona tire and had a bad shaking in the car , had the tires balanced 4 times no help so you replaced them with a set of michelins (had the car in to the dealer all is good) , still had the shaking but drove it for 20,000 mile thinking it was the car, returned to dealer car check out good , went in 3 to 4 day ago 5/18 (Taylor and had them rebalanced the 2 front tires to see if it helped (NO IT DID NOT HELP 5 TIMES WORSE THEN BEFORE) at 75 MPH the wheel was moving 1/4 of a inch , today went over to Firestone tire in Monroe and had them check the 2 front tires , both tires were out by 2 and 3/4 oz. cost 31.99 ,WOW what a difference , Starting to think the Arizona my had been ok just can't get them balanced right by Discount tire , cost me a lot of time and money ,
This is not the first time , 6 or 7 years back I had the same thing with Discount ended up having them balanced by Bell tire on 2 of my trucks and all was good , It seems a tire store should be able to balance a tire ??? Right ,what are your thoughts , Firestone has had 4 other cars from you in the last 2 week with the same thing bad balancing (when I have the the tires rotated I will go to Firestone so they can rebalance the 2 back tires too)

"I needed a new set of tires of my Honda CR-V. I called the store and spoke with a Mr. Carter on 02/27/18 he was very nice and helpful with me getting a set that was in my price range that even came with a MF warranty for under $700.00. He informed me that the tires had to be ordered and he would call me as soon as they came in. He called me on 03/01/18 to let me know they were in and he could get me in schedule the following day. I explained to him that I needed to done by 6:20PM as I had another appointment and I could be there at 4:45. He explained that they only do ½ to hour scheduling and would put me down for 5:00PM. When I arrived at 4:50PM I went in and got checked In by 5:05PM. I sat and waited until 5:25PM and no one had started on my car before I said something. The TWO guys that were behind the counter talking didn’t really seem as if they cared. However one of them did decide to go pull it in and began the process. I left there at 6:10PM and my tire Gage light is still on after I pressed the reset light myself. SO now I have to take it and have the tire pressure checked to see what’s going on. The beginning of my new purchase was awesome but the install a totally different story! Now where do I buy my next set for my car? Not at 575 Dickens Pl NE, Concord, NC 28025."
"placed an order on line ,talk to a rep to see if they would fit .When they show up they had the wrong offset and would not fit. When i contacted them they took quick care to get me the right size . The sent return labels no cost they order a bigger size to get the proper off set and eat the cost difference and got the new set mounted balanced and reshipped the same day . Very happy with the on line reps who took care of me .AAA+++"
