"EMPLOYEES TURN THEIR HEADS WHEN CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT OCCURED IN THE STORE!!! I will NEVER shop in another Disney store again. Long story short, there was a child screaming at the top of her lungs around the corner of where I was standing (common in a childrens store filled with small kids). It wasnt until I went to the checkout that I saw what was happening. There was a lady that ran up to the little girl and thats when I realized what was going on. An older girl (sister to the girl that was screaming) was hitting her younger sister that was in the stroller. The girls arm was red and raw from where her sister was hitting her and it looked like her grandmother was completely oblivious to what was happening. I had at that point realized that the lady that ran up to the girl stopped her from hitting her sister, yet even after that the girl continued to hit her sister in the stroller (which is then when I witnessed the hitting). This next part shocked me to no end. When the grandmother turned around, I told her what was happening and why the girl in the stroller was crying. She then laughed at me and I told her I didn't think it was funny. She became completely belligerent and told me it was none of my business and I should mind my own business. Not even looking to see if the girl in the stroller was ok (which she was still screaming with a bloody red arm). This lady was more concerned about me minding my own business rather than caring enough to check on the little girl that she even took the time to folllw me out of the store and yell at me some more even though I was two stores down in the mall while the ENTIRE time this poor child was screaming in her stroller. Mind you that this was now several minutes after (yet she wouldn't leave the Disney Store even though it appeared she was finished purchasing her stuff as this all happened at the checkout counter where she was too busy fiddling around with her purchase to realize what was going on.). Not one single employee said a word even though they had clearly seen the same thing I had. All it would have taken was for tbe woman to disipline the child that was hitting (telling her to stop, time out, whatever...just as long as the child would have stopped hitting her sister!) If this kind of abuse to a child is tolerated in a public place and the employees turn their heads the other way, then I and everyone I know will NOT be shopping at that store any longer."
"Yikes...there are a lot of bad reviews for the Disney Store website :(
I had a good experience though. I bought a shirt from them and I didn't really pay attention to how long it took so I can't say whether it was slow or not. I didn't like the way the shirt fit me and kinda hung onto it for a while thinking it would grow on me but it didn't. I brought it to the Disney store to try to return it much later, figuring it would be too late to return it, but they accepted it and I got a full refund. Though I didn't keep the item, I was satisfied with the shipping, the price, and returning the item.
Their website kinda sucked though; it was very hard to navigate and kept going to what looked like an entirely different website. I kept having to press the back button. I don't know what that was all about."
"Horrible return policy. False advertisement on sizes(Not true to size specified on site). I ordered my baby a bathing suit that ended up being too small. Sent it back for and exchange with the form provided in order. I also emailed and was re-assured I would NOT be charged for the exhange to be shipped back to me. I went ahead and shipped the item back to Disney. Only for them to later after receiving the return they only credit back your credit card. So basicaly I have to re-order the item and of course pay for shipping again. That's how they get you people. They just straight up lied to me and ripped me off. I paid with a gift card. They claimed they sent me another gift card to use. I never got it. BUYER BEWARE!"
"Ordered the majority of my daughter's Christmas presents online. Called to verify delivery date...assured they would be here by Christmas. Wrong!! UPS confirmed delivery for the 27th. They said Disney could change the shipping method to assure Christmas delivery. Disney said they couldn't/wouldn't, stopped my order and sent me my money on a Disney gift card that I have to drive an hour to use. Yay."
"Placed an order for some personalized gifts and used PayPal for payment. Order showed up on PayPal but not Disney Store. After 3 days I called and asked for order status but the order was totally missing in action. Some sort of system disconnect. The CSR was incredibly nice and allowed me to buy the same items at the original price, but one item was of course out-of-stock.
Personalization took awhile (placed 2nd order 11/07/2012, shipped 11/20/2012), but there was a big sale on personlization so I assume there was a backlog. Shipping was decent, UPS Ground.
This one wasn't the best experience, but overall OK. Not my first Disney Store order and definitely not my last. Most other times have been better but with slower shipping."
"Disney Store shipping has been my worst experience. I paid second day ($25) delivery since I need the dress for my daughter 7 YRS birthday. I called every day customer service and every time they tell me, it will be on time. It has been 14 days already and the item has not arrived. You can imagine my daughter sadness. I never has experience a service like that. This is my first time and last time buying in Disney Store."
"Trying to get some things before my little girl's birthday in 2 weeks...a day after ordering, I get the message that my credit card needs to be authorized as there was a problem...had to call customer service to fix, got this weird guy who bounced between professional and unprofessional and he was very slow, asked for a confirmation, he told me I'd get one when it shipped...well, it's been over a day and it hasn't shipped yet. I'm used to things shipping within 24 hours minimum, and frankly I'm not expecting it to ship for another day or two...I wouldn't buy from them again without expecting issues."
"Ordered on March 10, 2012, Never received order. Policy stated allow 2 weeks. It is now over 3 weeks. Customer srvice is rude and not helpful. Can not supply any information on order, even though they charged my account for it."
"I'm even more annoyed at the (lack of) service I got from Disney's online store now that I see extremely slow shipping is pretty much the norm. I ordered a gift for my friend a little more than a week before his birthday on a Saturday. By Wednesday when I still hadn't gotten a shipping notification I called CS and was on hold for 15 minutes before I had to give up waiting because I had to go to class, so instead I sent an email asking to completely cancel my order and 4 hours later had received no response.
I called CS again and told them I wanted to order cancelled immediately but was told they could only REQUEST to cancel it and it was not guaranteed. If I returned the item I could be refunded the price of the item but THEY WOULDN'T REFUND THE SHIPPING. I told them in that case I would literally be giving them money for nothing and demanded that they cancel the order.
I had to be transferred to the supervisor who then had to get in contact with the distribution center to ensure that my order would be cancelled. I was getting really annoyed how when I said what upset me so much was that the confirmation email I had received said it would ship "within 2 days" but they were acting like I was being unreasonable for being upset that after 3 business days I had received no notification. The supervisor claimed they had a "huge delay on shipping" but that my gift would still have arrived 7-9 calendar days after my order and it says that on the website. She said that the estimated date of arrival had I not cancelled the order would have been March 8. I ordered it February 25. That is not "7-9 calendar days" but she would not listen to me.
I absolutely refused to accept a gift card from them and let them know I would never be using the online Disney store again. For comparison, at the very same time I placed this order I ordered a pair of shoes from a shoe retailer. They arrived while I was on the phone arguing with this customer service rep about why my Disney order had not even shipped yet."
"Dont place any order online these people dont know what they are doing........"
"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I placed my order and based on their 8-10 business day shipping policy, should have received it in time for my son's birthday party. When the order still had not shipped 6 business days after I placed my order, I became concerned and called them. Long story short, I called FOUR times, spoke with FOUR reps and ONE supervisor over the past 5 days . All were completely unhelpful and rude. They all kept trying to tell me that it would ship soon and that it was still within the time frame and that there was just nothing they could do. I don't know what calendar they're using at Disney, but that was just flat out wrong. There was no way I was getting my order on time with standard shipping. I finally got them to begrudgingly upgrade it to 2 day shipping for free to ensure I get it before the party. Unfortunately, even that won't help now. They didn't ship it today again and if they ship it tomorrow, they will need to overnight it to make sure I get it in time. It is exhausted fighting them every step of the way just to make sure I get my order on time and practically beg them to do their job. It's disgusting how they treat their customers."
"Ordered on 10/21 with express 3 day shipping to make it by Halloween. Items did not ship until today, the 28th, and when I called they stated that they have "NO IDEA" when my order will arrive. I was given a repeated "I don't know" on the phone, and the woman was extremely rude on top of it. I was told I should have ordered sooner or checked their shipping policies before submitting an order. I will never use this site again."
"please do yourself a favor and do not use this site. this was the worst online shopping experience for me! they will BS you, won't tell you if something you paid for is OOS and it will take forever to get your things. I placed my order on 10/03/2011. After a week waiting, I asked them to provide tracking# - after 5 emails and 4 days later, I still did not get the clear answer whether my order was shipped or not. after 15 days i finally got the package and the email that 3 out 6 things are OOS. On top of that it was not my order! so now i have to spend my time again to ship it back to them and chase them again to ship the things i actually ordered.
Have a magical day, Disney Store. Hope to never see you again!"
"I made my order on 9-22-11. It was a Friday so I figured nothing would happen until Monday or Tuesday. I put in all the necessary information. My address, Phone Number, Card type, Card Number, and Security Code. I ordered two items. So it should be an easy order. I even got a confirmation e-mail. I was a bit confused because the confirmation e-mail had a total for a dollar less than the print out of the confirmation page after making my order. The tax was different. 5 days from my order date I noticed it still has not been shipped. So i'm like what the heck? I've been checking the status every day with no change. I go to the site and check one more time and I see a notification at the top stating that they could not obtain the status of my order from the warehouse system. The money had also still not yet shown up on my bank statement. So I decide to send CS an e-mail. I let them know what happened and gave them my order number and name. The next day I get an e-mail and it says they were not able to authorize my credit card and to call and talk to CS because of course e mail isn't a secure way to give Credit Card information. I'm already irritated because their website sucks and has a lot of glitches. I gave them plenty of information when I purchased the order that they could have authorized the card. What more do they want? My SSN? First born child? And why did it take me to notice 5 days later that something was wrong. If it was a credit card issue they could have e-mailed me or even called my on the phone number I gave them when I signed up. My order probably would have just sat in limbo forever until I called. Or been canceled from being inactive for so long. So anyways I call later that day. It didnt take too long to get a rep. He was polite and didnt rush me. Which was good. But its like he could never understand what I was saying. I had to give him my order number 5 times! Because he kept messing it up. I had to give him my last name 3 times because he kept mixing up the letters. Seriously guy? So I told him about my credit card situation and he just said ok lets see what we can do here. He asked for my name and address. He needed my card number. And the last thing he needed was the 1-800 number on the back of my card. Why would that help with anything???? Plus aside from the 1-800 number that's ll the info I gave when I made my account and order. Why do I need to tell them again? Once he verified my information he said he activated and pushed through my order. The next day the charge showed up on my bank account. So that's a relief. However it's been almost two days and it still says the order hasn't been shipped. But judging by what other people have been saying it will probably take another two days to ship. You know you just really expect more from a company like Disney. Both their website and iphone app are not very well made. I'm still baffled as to how they couldn't verify my card with all the info I gave them. I swear the order better be correct when I get it.
*Update* My order shipped on September 30, 2011 and I received it on October 5,2011. I checked the package and both items where in it and in perfect condition. However I found the sweatshirt I ordered to be too big. I used the size charts on their site mind you to choose the size to order. But this thing fit like a dress on me. So I fill out the return/exchange slip Listing the item number color size quantity etc. of the item I had and of the new item I want. Again I listed the item number and the new SIZE a big L instead of an XL I wanted etc. for the exchange item. I pack it all up in the original box pay for the shipping, which by the way if you choose ground shipping like I did because anything after that was way unaffordable, don't expect your new item for almost month or more depending on where you live. I ship it out on 10-11-11 It takes almost a week to get there which I guess is normal for ground shipping. And it arrives to them on 10-17-11 However It took them 3 weeks! to process and send me back one sweatshirt! are you kidding me?! it took them 2 weeks to grab a different size sweatshirt and a week to mail it back? I didnt receive my order until 11-04-11 and here is the kicker. The sent me back the same size! a size XL! What the heck?! Seriously?! Not only that but they caused me to go negative in my bank account because instead of keeping the money and just sending me a new sweatshirt they refunded the money to my account and a few days later when they shipped it they took the money out again. Not knowing that they do things this way I wasn't checking my bank account waiting for them to do this. So of course I spent the money with out even knowing it. Luckily I had some in another account I could transfer over to avoid overdraft fees. So I'm pretty livid at this point. I had already talked to guest services on the phone about my bank account so I did not feel like speaking to anyone. I sent an e-mail instead regarding the size. I gave them all the information they needed and asked am I really going to have to pay shipping again when this time its was their mistake? When they e mailed me back they basically say we reviewed the order and the size XL has a different item number than the size L.......oh my gosh I'm about to explode. Ok I can accept the fact that some companies may do this with their sizes. Even though most places I've shopped with have the same item number no matter what the size. But I clearly wrote a big "L" in the box labeled "Size" in the exchange column. So regardless of whether I got the item number wrong which I'm sure I'm not the first customer to do so, they should have clearly seen I wanted a large and not an extra large. Why the hell would I want to exchange it for the exact same size and waste my time and money?!!!! So now I'm at the point where I am debating. Should I call and complain and demand they cover my shipping for their screw up and have them tell me I should have put the right item number? Or should I just bite the bullet and pay another $7 and something cents for shipping making that a total of over $14 for shipping and waiting another month for them to send me a size I'm still not sure would fit? Or should I just send it back and get a refund? Needless to say this was my first and most likely my last time I will ever shop with them. DisneyStore.com you really are the worst. And I hope things change or your going to lose a lot more customers and create a bad image for Disney. "
"I second the complaints about spam- buy one thing from this store and receive a minimum of one spammy email a day for the rest of eternity! I have provided feedback to 'presidential customer service', (which I guess just means they listen to your complaints and ignore them just like other politicians!) and to no avail. Products and pricing are fair enough, but the hassle and disregard for my repeated requests to be removed from the mailing lists (which I specifically opted out of!) makes this a stay-away in my book.
