I had to send them an email for a follow up myself, and their reply was that they were doing software upgrades and how their purchase orders were just coming back inline with a delay from the manufacturer. Really now? If that was the case, why didn't I receive a notification by email earlier?? I get another email last Thursday that they finally shipped.. "I found Drvita.com via a google search when a supplement I take on a daily basis was out of stock at the internet store I usually purchase from. I found the exact product I was looking for at a very reasonable price and it showed the item to be in stock and as such I placed an order for the item.
I assumed everything was falling into place with my order and that I would soon receive confirmation that it had been shipped. However; I was surprised after several days when I received an email from the company indicating that the item was out of stock and they were not expecting the manufacturer to fulfill the order for nearly a month or possibly longer.
My first reaction was definitely one of anger as there was never any mention of the item I had ordered being out of stock and on backorder. I had spent considerable time sifting through a multitude of supplement sellers that clearly showed this particular supplement to be out of stock and how happy I was when I stumbled upon Drvita.com and found just what I was looking for AND it was in stock. Now after several days I am informed by the company that they have no stock of the supplement I am needing.
I responded accordingly to the customer service department and told them I was not happy about the lack of clear and concise information on their website and felt I had no other choice than to "wait it out" for a month or more until the item I was wanting might arrive.
Imagine my delightful surprise when I quickly received a very thoughtful and empathetic response back from the Director of Customer Service at the Drvita.com seller website. I was given the option to receive a similar product that was indeed in stock and although more expensive, it would be shipped to me at no additional cost. This really made me sit up and take a second look at Drvita.com. Customer service has certainly taken a turn for the worse in this age of technology and the fact that every effort was made to resolve this matter so quickly and completely to a first time customer made me realize that I am more than just another email address and that my business is important and worth going the extra mile.
I am SO impressed with how the customer service department handled this problem and as such I will definitely be a "repeat" customer. Hats Off to a superb company!!"
