I'm writing this regarding my recent order #: 272-644-384. Specifically the Pipercross filter. It did not fit in the air box of my 98 Bmw Z3 M Roadster because despite being the right filter for my model, the gasket was way too tall and wide, not to mention finished very roughly and altogether not done very well.
I ended up having to trim it for an hour to get it to finally fit in the air box tray properly. I am very unhappy with this because I hate having to had cut into this new filter which is supposed to be a direct replacement item. I sent photos of how much of the gasket I had to trim to get it to fit in the air intake tray without it getting jammed in there and ECS tuning never responded.
The old cheap $6.00 paper filter has a way better gasket than the $49.99 Pipercross filter which is 10 times more expensive had to be modified to even use it!
Also, this is the second item that I have ordered from ECS Tuning that did not fit as it should! The schwaben pressure bleeder did not fit my master brake cylinder properly and i had to FILE the threads down on the bleeder cap just to get it to screw on as it has to in order to function correctly!
ECS TUNING never responded to my complaint which I sent to ****@****.

EDIT: Since leaving this review - Rachel from ECS Tuning reached out to me, made a full refund and made things right. I wish her email address was available on the website from the start! I will order again from ECS Tuning because of her and look forward to a better experience this time.

"I did business with ecs for about a year but that over now. The last order I place was for a timing chain kit but never got the most important part the timing chain. To make matters worse they did nothing to make it right. They also never replied to my email. This company has bad business practices and I currently have a complaint filed with the bbb about this. Do not buy parts from this company unless u enjoy giving ur money away for nothing. "
