"The best thing you could spend your money on. I promise you. Changes your life. Signing up for my 3rd trip with them today."
"Great company. MY trip was a blast and perfect."
" I just recently turned from the 10 day trip to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, and it was all amazing. The trip had a few hiccups in the beginning due to a phantom bus driver that never showed on two different occasions, and there were many people in the group who were quick to complain, but our tour director handled it well and did his best to fix and reorganize things for us so we wouldn't miss out on anything we had signed up for. I'm actually glad this happened because it led to us getting the BEST bus driver EVER. Seriously, I loved him, and was so sad to say goodbye! He even volunteered to drop a group of us off at the airport that were scheduled to take taxis at 4AM, and the man in his 40s or 50s always loaded and unloaded ALL of our luggage for 40+ people.
This tour required a lot of driving time between cities, but the bus was always entertaining, especially with our tour director, Chris. It also allowed us time to catch up on sleep. My friends and I never went out and partied at night, but we were still averaging about 4 hours of sleep every night! Traveling is exhausting, but you are also on a sort of adrenaline high the whole time. I would say 10 days is the perfect amount for traveling like this, especially if you have never been before.
I would also recommend maybe going with a buddy. I went with a couple people I knew from home and we easily befriended a couple other girls, but for the most part, a lot of the other people on the trip were a little crabby. This might be due to younger age or still trying to be "cool" in college, I don't really know. I just know it would have been a lot less fun to end up on a trip with only those kind of people.
For the first time in Europe, I thoroughly enjoyed this entire trip! I can't even decide which place was my favorite! The only thing I wish we could have done more on the trip is visit more museums or learn more about the history of the places we were in. Even so, I plan on researching the castles and sights we saw so I know more about where I was. It was a whirlwind of an experience, and many of us were already throwing around the idea of another EF trip before we even got to the airport. I would probably opt for a tour of one country next time after having visited so many in just a few days."
"Traveling with EF was the first time I'd ever been out of the country. I was nervous at first, but wanted to badly to go to Ireland that I just did it. I have to say how flawless everything seemed to go. We seamlessly traveled from city to city and were given great information and experiences in all of them. Our tour director was such a trooper through it all and very relaxed. You didn't feel too rushed about heading out to the next little day trip or travel day. Traveling with EF College Break exceeded all of my expectations and took the stress out of having to plan a trip in a place I've never been to before. I would definitely recommend traveling with EF and would hands-down travel with them again. Maybe their London, Scotland Escape next time!"
"I did the 25 days highlight of Europe trip and had an awesome time. I made some incredible friends and had an awesome time. Ef is great for solo travelers and first time Europe travelers. Kyri was a great guide and made sure we had a great experience. We did a lot of traveling but had a lot of free time as well. I would suggest this trip to everyone who doesn't want to have to worry about planning anything and who want to see Europe. "
" This was the second EF tour that I went on. The first time was a high school tour and this time a college break tour. I did the Ultimate Europe tour for 35 days. The trip was great! We covered so much ground and saw so much. However, it is a lot of traveling.you spend a lot of time traveling to each city. You wake up early and you go all day. It's not much of a "vacation". Most of my favorite things were the optional a offered by our tour guide. He tried to make our experience the best he could by offering these and enhancing our trip. Some things were a bummer like not seeing big historical sites like the Tower of Pisa and the Trevi Fountain being under reconstruction. We stayed in s ride variety of hotels and hostels. Some were really nice and spacious, but most were extremely small. Six girls in one room with one bathroom is definitely not ideal.
I think the biggest surprise for me on this tour was how long 35 days are with a large group of people you don't know. I traveled with someone that I knew, and I am very thankful for that because the trip probably wouldn't have been as great for me if I did not have her. I'm not much of a party person, but it seemed that my entire trip was. The other people on your tour affect your experience because you are together 24/7. There is no alone time. Sometimes personalities will clash and that is something to keep in mind as well.
I love EF and I think they offer you the best options with getting to see/know a city, but also giving you free time to experience the cities for yourself. However, I probably would not go on a another college break tour simply for the fact of the group that I was with. They were constantly drinking and loud everywhere we went. I was often embarrassed to be associated with the group due to their lack of manners and respect for others. On a positive note, traveling teaches you so much and this is an experience that I do not regret. Even with a few bumps in the road, it was still a life-changing experience. "
"I just returned home from the 35 day Ultimate Europe trip. It was a phenomenal experience. I met some amazing new friends, saw a lot of great history and learned a lot about myself too. I was fortunate to have an amazing tour director, Fillippos. He went above and beyond with our tour group. He offered us ways to enhance our trip from White water rafting in the Alps, to the leaning tower of Pisa and even a 4 course meal in Paris. Everything about the EF College Break Tour was incredible. I would highly recommend an EF College Break Tour. "
"It was awesome to have a guide and a planned itinerary. Also, I met a bunch of amazing people during the trip! However, there are some downsides to travelling with EF. I personally am someone who wants to see everything that I can during a trip (After all, I traveled all the way to Europe, I want to get the most out of it). Some of the things are 'optional', ie, the tour director asks the entire bus if we would like to stop by in another town when transferring from one city to another, but the only catch is that everyone must agree. Of course, a lot of times they don't work out since there will be some one in the group who disagrees. Hence, we missed the chance to see Pisa and Verona. Also, for the price we are paying, EF seems to like to skip over museums. I was VERY disappointed in the Vatican ( we sped past the Vatican Museums, I missed a bunch of things I wanted to see, only to exit after the walking tour and have the tour guide bring us to a souvenir shop. They could've left us in there and let those who want to wander do their thing) and in Florence (the Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery were not included in the itinerary. Florence is famous for their art!!!) We also missed the interior of the Duomo, which is also very disappointing. The worst part was that the tour director only told us that the sites were not covered on the day we arrived at Florence and told us that the line is usually very long and we were free to wait in line to purchase our tickets but it would take hours. Fortunately, a few people on the trip insisted and we went and waitd in line on our own (~1.5 hours) and managed to see Michelangelo's masterpiece, David. On the transfer day to Venice, our hotel was in another city, Jesolo, a beach town. But honestly, I did not travel all the way to Italy to spend a day in a beach that looks like Miami. I wish we had another half a day in Florence before transferring to Venice, or maybe stop in another town on route to Venice. But all in all, I think EF is a good way to travel if it is one's first time in Europe. Also, pick a country where traveling within the country is tough (like Italy), with EF, your transportation is all covered! It is also an amazing way to meet people! But if you're one who really want to go and see the culture and take the time to appreciate the art and architecture in Europe, EF may not be the best way to do that! :) But if you're worried, especially first time travelers, be sure to read up on the cities that you are visiting ,or maybe grab a book about the country so you know what to do during your free time and cover all the important sites that you want to visit! :)"
"EFCB is a great option for solo traveling or people traveling abroad for the first time. That is why I chose the program. Although I had a great time on the trip and saw great things and met awesome people, there were things I would have done differently if I planned the trip myself. I went on the 10 day Germany, Italy and Switzerland trip. The trip should really be called only 4 days because 6 of the days were spent sitting in a bus or on the plane. I was not aware so much driving was involved. The trip should be longer or condensed to only 2 cities instead of 4 to make the most of the time. Also, Germany was my least favorite, and we spent the most time there. Mayb it was because we went to 2 cities that were not much fun. Munich and Frankfurt were really boring. I would have chosen Berlin or a city with more history. I wished we spent more time in Italy and Switzerland and less in Germany. Also, the tour director was unorganized in the beginning, so the first few days were pretty rough.
For my first trip abroad, I got to see a lot of stuff, but I don't think I would book a tour again. I could do it cheaper myself, and see more of what I wanted to see."
"I did the Grand Tour of Ireland
PROS: I was always busy exploring Ireland on this tour. It was so so beautiful, and I had an absolute blast. My tour director, Rob, was fantastic, and the people in my group were very nice people. I will absolutely go back to Ireland; my tour director's knowledge of the land and its history really sparked my fancy and now I'm obsessed with it's history and culture.
EF did a really good job scheduling all of the events and activities, and I really do feel like I got my money's worth.
CONS:
EF did an exceptionally bad job scheduling flights. They scheduled flights and their layovers in a myriad of different ways, none of which made sense. For instance, all of the folks who lived in Chicago were sent from Shannon to Philadelphia, and then had to take another flight to O'Hare. All of the people from Philly had to fly to O'Hare and then fly to Philly, and so on. Not ideal.
The accommodations also left something to be desired. The hostels we stayed at were at the bare minimum, and we figured we'd get a little more for the price we paid. We also expected to have one or two meals paid for, aside from the last evening's dinner and the breakfasts that already came with the hotels.
Overall, it was a really, really fun and amazing tour and I had an amazing time. However, I think next time I would schedule my own flights, and maybe look into the hotels/hostels before registering. "
"It's great to have everything planned out so you don't have to worry about any logistics, and all transportation is covered including unlimited local transportation in the form of busses and trains in the cities you stay in. However, not all of the hostels were nice so I feel like the price is a bit too high. It's great for solo travelers though because of the safety aspect. But as a warning, if you love nature or history, EFCB is not for you. It's literally just tours of the major cities and tourist attractions. The safety and and planned days made it really convenient. You do get to see a lot in a short amount of time though! "
"As a very detail oriented and hyper-organized person, it was amazing to have EF College Break create such a wonderful adventure for me. At all times I felt supported and safe while on the trip. Everything was thoroughly planned and explained, so I felt prepared for my first adventure abroad.
I met some of the most amazing people on my trip and we are still in contact today and even attempting to plan another trip with the 5 of us if not more people from our trip. While being in Europe was incredible and seeing all the sites was a dream, the two directors and fellow travelers are the best memories of all!
I highly recommend EF College Break to anyone whether you are going with a friend or going by yourself. "
"I have traveled with EF College Break 3 times already.
My trips have all been great experiences!
Meeting new people, places and just trying new experiences! I love EFCB aside from EFtours because you have more freedom to do the things you want to do as long as you are safe, such as going out to cool new clubs and bars in other countries is always a blast! I would highly recommend EF College Break to anyone that ready for adventure and great time!"

"I went to Costa Rica last summer and had the time of my life. Ef is probably one of the most amazing college tours I have been on. We got to do so much in Costa Rica, and learned a lot too. I must say I had the time of my life there and recommend this trip to anyone who loves adventure. I made a ton of life long friends, and learned so much about their country. "
"Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Everything was planned well and the director was amazing. 10/10 would travel again. "
