"Update: I received a call and was told that this was a real web update delay error (it was removed from the website) and I was offered the next higher model at a reasonable price. I did purchase that and it was shipped very promptly and received it exactly as stated (Brand New), without any problems. Thanks.

This is a Bait and Switch Operation.
Saw the ad for a Sony Laptop at a very good price and placed the order. Got Email confirmation, but later received a call from the store that it is no longer in stock; but they had a higher priced model and I can order that instead.
Several others have had the same experience. I am taking the time to complain so that others don't have to go through this.

"We purchased a laptop from SaveAtEagle.com only to begin an onslaught of troubles. The first product wasn't the product ordered. Which happens, so we sent it back. The next product didn't work, so we sent it back. They told us that they had sent another one on accident and we should be receiving a replacement shortly. Well, they 'fixed' the accident and sent it back to them before it was delivered. Finally, after a week or so, we inquired as to when we would be receiving a replacement. They emailed back saying they appologize but there none of the laptops in stock. Which was complete B.S. since they had accidently shipped us an extra one the week before. After numberous troubles getting ahold of the service department, and at least an hour of negotiations on the phone, they found one in another wearhouse and we are to receive it sometime next week. Hopefully it's not the one we had sent back for being defective. With SaveAtEagle.com, the ends do not meet the means, in which the slight price reduction is definitely not worth the trouble. I'm not saying that SaveAtEagle.com should be shut down, but you should ask yourself, if saving a few extra bucks is worth over a month of your time?"

"The "refurbished" Gateway laptop came quickly, however as soon as we opened the box we were dismayed. The case was heavily marked, scratched and even cracked. When we opened it we discovered a display that was scratched, and upon turning it on we found several dead spots on the screen, the color was poor and reading the screen was difficult. The fan was very noisy and erratic. The computer froze up with "Windows is shutting down" on the screen. There was no owner's manual or instructions. We would not buy this computer at any price. On Mon. I called customer service and left a voice mail message. On Tues. I e-mailed service. I got an email back saying that my message had been handed over to "returns" and they might take 24 hours to respond. Today, Wed. I have still had no response about how to return this very much unwanted laptop! "
