"Hi, I ordered a 80" Sharp Aquos 3D LED TV from Steve at ***-***-**** at ext 105. Steve was extremely helpful in working on final pricing and providing additional suggestions and information that I ended up choosing.
White glove deliver actually went ahead of schedule and flawless in my home. Also have to say the TV is great, especially the 3D mode. Exceptional !
Can say enough about the support and how easy East Coast TVs was to work with. I would not hesitate to go back to them and in fact they would be my first choice!
Best Regards, C.A. Carpenter"
"Issues come up with the purchase of high end items. Things arent always delivered ontime, or other glitches can occur. The difference is what the company does about it. Any many problems as I had, I will have to say that the company did handle it for me. "
"Customer service is outstanding! Mr. Esposito went above and beyond to help me. Prices for the Sharp TV and the service contract are excellent. Delivery was very past. I will buy from this store again, and refer them to others!"
"Used the website to purchase a television. Received a follow-up call to confirm the purchase the next day from a very pleasant and helpful salesman. Product arrived ahead of schedule and was in 100% condition. Will return for future purchases!"
"I am well pleased with service of East Cost TV and the TV I purchased from them."
"I purchased a 60" Samsung TV from E.C. TV. Their price was excellent, no taxes. I received it a week later using their white glove service. It was delivered, set up and working before they left. They did everything they promised. I would purchase from them again."
"I highly recommend East Coast TVs. They provided professional service from my initial inquiries to the delivery and set-up. Two days after I placed my order I scheduled the delivery and it arrived as promised. They unboxed the TV, attached it to the stand, placed in on my console table, plugged it in, and confirmed it was working properly. It couldn't have been easier for me."
"I am an avid shopper and I rely heavily on reviews to get the full story about the product and/or merchant. I did my homework for my 80in Sharp Aquos TV. I found a few places online that were 30% cheaper than the stores, so I thought I would give it a show.
The first place I ordered from (AOM) took my money right away, upsold me on delivery, just to have the delivery guys refuse to walkup the flight of the stairs to deliver the TV. I cancelled the ordered and still waiting on a refund after a month. Strike one. I am disputing the charge on the CC now.
Then I called East Coast TVs, nice guys with a great price. No tax, free shipping. They did offer extended warranty which was expected. I did decline. The experience working with their team was flawless. The delivery arrived as expected and the sheer size of the TV is stunning. Keep in mind they do have a shipping insurance charge for large items 80in TV, just so you’re not caught off guard.
I definitely will do business again with EastCoastTVs."
"I ordered a sony projector from ectv earlier this month. I bought from ectv because they had a good price well under MSRP. The unit arrived within the week on schedule and looks great on my new projector screen. After customer service helped me out with a small hiccup with the order, everything is running great. "
"I placed an order for a Panasonic 55" TV from ECTVs on 3/12/13. Received an up sell sales call on 3/13/13 and agreed to the white glove delivery for an extra fee to speed up my shipping. I was verbally told that my TV would arrive in 5-7 days instead of the 14 days it typically takes with standard shipping. I received notification that my order had shipped on 3/15. Things were looking right on track... but here it is 3/28 and no TV... A phone call to the shipping company, AM Trucking, and it turns out my TV is just now in transit. Apparently it just didn't make it on the trailer... Seriously? I was sold a premium service and did not get what I paid for. I agree with the other reviewers. If you want cheap and are willing to potentially jump through hoops to get your items, then buy from here. Otherwise buy from somewhere else...
Update 4/3/13
Shortly after posting this review I received a phone call from a representative of East Coast TVs. They were apologetic for the delays I was experiencing. I was offered a refund for the cost of the white glove shipping service and told that they had contacted the shipper about the late delivery and assured that it would be delivered the following week. I did receive the credit and finally received the TV today, 14 days after receiving the "your order has shipped" confirmation email. The delivery left a little to be desired, but was as stated. They opened the box for inspection and did plug in the TV to verify it worked. It arrived undamaged and fully functional. Moral of the story: East Coast TV's did offer a cheap price and good customer service but they should really find a more professional shipping company to work with."
"I ordered an LG 55" 7600 Series LED HDTV - 55LM7600 on March 6th and of course got the annoying up sell call. I agreed to take the premium shipping package because I didn't have time to argue and honestly I thought I would get the TV faster than their standard shipping time which is 5-8 business days. The status almost immediately stated Shipped and the tracking page said "IN TRANSIT TO NY 3/6/2013", so I was hopeful.
Because nothing happened after that, I contacted the shipping company and ECTV via their online contact form on Friday the 15th. No reaction from the shipping company, no reaction from ECTV even if they say we'll contact you within 24 hours after I submitted the form.
What happened though is that that the tracking page now says "IN TRANSIT TO NY 3/15/2013". So they just changed the date because it might look a little suspicious if a package is in transit from Linden, NJ to NY for more than 8 days, right?
So they lie about the tracking information, most probably the order status isn't right either, I guess the TV hasn't even been sent yet and they don't respond to inquiries.
I'll contact them by phone and will update this review when I have more information.
Right now my recommendation would be to pay a little more but order from a more trustworthy and reliable source.

Update Friday 22nd of March:
5 minutes after I posted the review above on yelp I got a phone call from a "George" from ECTV telling me that the TV will be delivered next Thursday or Friday (22nd) and he would refund the money I paid for the "premium white glove delivery service" (which they did). Of course he also asked me to remove the review from yelp.
I agreed under the condition that the TV will indeed arrive this week.
On Friday 22nd I got a phone call from Advantage Delivery telling me that the TV will be delivered Friday in a week (that would be March 29th).
I hung up on them and put my review back online.
I don't know what their business model is but I know it's not one I like.
They lie about the delivery status, they sell you premium delivery but don't deliver, they try to manipulate reviews.

Update Monday 25th of March:
Shortly after my review was online again I got several phone calls from ECTV which I ignored because I knew they couldn't deliver on Friday and thus couldn't hold up their end of the bargain.
Realizing that they wouldn't get through by phone they sent me an email promising to give me an additional $200 off and to deliver on Monday 25th. I agreed on the terms and indeed I got my TV today.
My recommendation concerning East Coast TVs is simple: if you want it cheap, go for it. But be aware that you might have to jump through some hoops to get what you want. If you don't have the time or the nerves to do so, stay away from ECTV."
"I bought a 42" LED TV from them for $639.00 where as others were selling it for $799.00 plus shipping plus tax, but I got free 2 day shipping, mainly because I'm close to their wholesaler in NYC, well that's what I was told, non the less still cheaper than others. Sure they call and tell you you could pay extra for white glove delivery and added insurance, but this is a choice not a deal breaker. Once your item is delivered your on your own since you sign the release, so check your item before. Don't get confused by others and their decisions, make your own and save a ton of money like I did. Upsell or not, I SAVED money buying from them"
"Was skeptical with all of the complaints to the BBB and other review sites around the internet. But the TV was shipped as promised 100%. Didn't like the oh heres 2%, you don't actually get that even though your checkout said you did and oh heres some additional money for "shipping insurance" you have to pay. Everything should be visible at time of checkout. Nonetheless, best prices. Don't let the bad experiences deter you from purchasing if lowest price is your number one concern...and it is isn't it since you are shopping online."
"TV was delivered ahead of schedule. Box was opened and TV checked out by delivery personnel. Was advised to keep box in case TV had to be returned at some time. TV was as expected and the price was the lowest I could find."
"I called and ordered Samsung PN64E7000 they called to confirm boom it was here( in NE PA) a week later no high pressure sales like I read about thank you East Coast TV, The purchase went just how you want it to. The TV is amazing BTW"
