"Ebuyer.com is simply an awful company. If you order a product from them, they actually have it in stock, it gets shipped to you and works god is shining down on you.
If on the other hand an item does not work, is sent wrongly, or you wish to return it for any reason you will really struggle to contact this comapny and if you do you will never get a reasonable response. The reason for this is because they don`t want you to contact them.
You can't email ebuyer. You have to use its Enotes system. They ignore them most of the time. The website says expect a reply within 48 hours. expect a weeks wait. You can`t raise more than 1 enote at a time either, because they don`t have enough staff to answer the ones they get daily anyway. If they do reply expect them to be utterly useless and expect another week of constant enote tooing and froing, resulting in nothing at all.
The customer support phoneline is designed to purely take money from the customer. It is charged at 7p per minute. Expect to wait an hour before talking to someone. The phone queue is always 16 people. My phonebill for september 2002 had £22 of phonecalls to these idiots.
If and when you do get through the staff eventually you will find they are trained to refer you to the website. For example if you want to return something you are told after waiting an hour to request a rma number from the website! Asking to talk to management is always a no no. Asking for an address to write to is never given either. This company does not care one bit about customers needs. Once they have your money and your credit card details you are exactly where they want you.
In my experience they do all the following things to their customers on a daily basis......
1)Say they have stock when they do not.
2)If you live in London expect awful delivery service.
3)They Send incorrect items alot.
4)They Expect customers to pay for any returns charges regardless of reason and charge more to return items via the same courrier than they do to deliver.
5)If you send back goods for any reason you can expect a Restocking fee of 20% on pristine quality goods.
6)They are impossible to get hold of on phone (£5 per hour on phonebill)
7)They Talk down to customers.
8)They take unauthorised credit card payments.
9)They copy manufacturers product info and know nothing about the items they sell whatsoever.
10)They do not accept or answer pre-order questions about products.
11)The terms and conditions states that if any items are delivered to you faulty that you will be expected to wait 30 days for the manufacturer to repair or replace the item.
12)They take payments and then do not send product when they make pricing mistakes.
13)They sell items falsely advertised.
14)They ignore all distance selling regulations to the best of their ability.
15)Small claims court is only way to ever get a refund.
And the icing on the cake is this line in their terms and conditions of service...
"The Buyer shall only be entitled to the benefit of any warranties or guarantees as are given by the manufacturer of the Goods. All warranties,
conditions or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law."
After my recent ebuyer fiasco I decided enough was enough. So I trawled the internet and within 5 minutes got a huge bundle of customer horror stories from ebuyer.com and put up a website to highlight the issue which you can find here:
http://ebuyerdotcon.funurl.com
They might have "value for money" but they have NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT whatsoever. I wouldn`t wish anyone to have to put up with the appaling service this company made me go through. My opinion on them can be seen on my website.
Now you decide wether or not you want to risk buying anything from this company. Don't touch them with a bargepole is my advice.

"ordered many goods from ebuyer not one problem with any will use again and have before there customer service is top notch and the goods are well packaged fast delivery and they email you all the way until its at your door
over all 9/10"
"E-buyer amaze me with the prices they charge, they are very cheap. they are half the price of my local computer shop and cheaper than any computer fair for new retail components. i have built several systems for friends and family using components bought from ebuyer and the service is excellent.
the web site is fast and they have huge stocks of popular items so i know i can always get what i want when i want it! they have good e-mail response but poor telephone support but with stuff this cheap i dont care!
the site tracks every movement of your order and they have several shipping options which suits me as to how much im buying and how rich i am for that month!
out of 6 large orders with them i have only had one problem, itwas with a pentium 4 motherboard that didnt feed enough voltage to the core, i rma'd it and they replied with an RMA code i opted for a refund which they gave promptly so i could go buy another one!
people of the UK gotta love E-BUYER!"
"Nice website, nice prices, slow postage. I ordered on the Saturday with the item in stock. I was mailed on the Monday with "out of stock". I was mailed on the Tuesday with "in stock". I am still waiting for delivery on Wednesday evening."
"Nice website and cheapest prices but that is where it ends. I was sent three CPUs with several badly bent legs (thankfully they straightened up without snapping off) I got two Joysticks with gameport connectors instead of USB as requested. My flakey DDR memory was replaced with used dead memory and I am still waiting for a refund a month later. I had a motherboard go down after 3 months use. I sent it back and after a month they sent it to the manufacturer. Now it's two months later and still no replacemnt or refund. The Returns Dept cannot be contacted by phone and will not reply to emails."
"Pain in the ass!"
"I ordered a next day delivery on several computer parts, unfortunately they managed to pick entirely the wrong graphics card. Their on-line RMA procedure is good, but I am still (several weeks) awaiting a response for refund of carriage (next day) and postage return. Also their support line is unbearably busy, and has that annoying trait of cutting you off in the queue"
