"I bought a joystick listed as "In Stock" from them once. It took over 2-weeks to get it! Lots of good reviews for this place, so I thought maybe it's a fluke... I gave them another chance, ordered a D-Link wireless LAN card this time. Guess what? 2-full weeks later and NOTHING. You have to use the dropdown menu to get to Order Status, because the link on the top right corner "Track Your Order", doesn't work. Order status says my item is "On Order". Their realtime stock still says there's 425 left!!! The "ship by" date at the bottom is 2-weeks AFTER I placed my order. This place STINKS. I hate them."

"Was wary at first after reading other customers' reviews. Called them up and verified that everything was AOK with stock levels and availability etc. Order went through smoothly and I got my packages super fast (2 business days). Packaging was kind of suspect though."

"My order was shipped on time, but to someone else! Ebuyer gave me the tracking number and I put it in the USPS tracking site. It came up with an address in a different State! So, I asked them to "fix" it. They said they have to turn it over to their "claims" dept. They then sent me a statement to sign declaring I didn't take delivery of the goods. The total order cost only $30!! They can clearly see that the address I gave them is NOT the address to which the good were shipped (according to USPS anyway). So why do I have to go through all this hassle? Here's what they had me sign:

Ebuyer has recently been notified by you that your package with Delivery Confirmation number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX, associated with order # 47820 that was to be delivered via USPS has not arrived by the expected due date. In order to initiate an investigation with the USPS, Ebuyer requires written confirmation that the package has yet to be delivered. We take missing packages very seriously, and will be in contact with the appropriate officials within the USPS to expedite a resolution for you, our customer.

"Placed an order and realised when I got the confirmation email that I had ordered the oem product when I wanted the retail boxed. I TRIED to cancel the order and found that I could only cancel it within 5 mins of placing it. I tried emails but they are rejected as they dont want to talk to yu once you have placed the order. I used their enotes and it was ignored. The next contact was from them telling me that they ahd sent the item.
Abysmal service, I expect to be able to contact an internet retailer using email and not to have my enote ignored - and reassigned to another person.
I now wish that I had wited for a reputable company to get the stock of the item I required. I will now have to contact the credit card company and teh mags to get this sorted.

"I attempted to order 8 of a closeout PNY smart media unit from Ebuyer @ $6.29 each, along with a "1 x Carry CFCA PC Card CompactFlash Adaptor" @ $5.99. This order was generated
Wed. 9/24/03.

On 9/25/03 I was informed by E-mail that the the latter item (flash adaptor) was no longer available. I also received an e-mail to call their offices to confirm that I still wanted the memory. I
called their Arizona office on 9/26. They said that they still had the items available, and that they would ship that day.

On the morning of 10/1/03, I received two more e-mails from e-buyer indicating that the memory was no longer available and that the order would be flushed.

I contacted them by e-mail at "****@****" at 7:05 AM EDT on 10/1/03. The text follows:

You are hereby advised that I will be filing complaints with the following organizations regarding your non-performance on this matter:

1) State of Arizona Attorney General's Office (Consumer Complaint Division).
2) Phoenix Arizona Better Business Bureau.
3) UK based consumer complaint organizations, as the e-mails I have received about the problems all appear to originate in the UK.
4) Various Web-Based forums.

At the time the order was placed, your web site showed 19 of the item in stock (PNY 32 Smart Media @ $6.29). I was told verbally last Friday that they would, in fact, be shipped when I called
your "800" number. Now, I am told you cannot get them.

That is FRAUD where I come from. I expect you to manage your business in a manner that allows you to manage your inventory better, not to mention your customer relations.

You have until 5 PM US Eastern Daylight Time 1 October 2003 to find a solution. May I suggest that you substitute another brand of the item and sell 8 of them to me @ $6.29 each with free
shipping to me. This, of course, may mean you are selling at a loss, but this would forestall my complaints about the matter.

I am also experiencing similar complaints with a competitor of yours, "buy.com" over a similar memory deal. It seems companies like yours feel that they can do whatever they want with order
fulfillment, and damn customer service.

At 8:30 AM 10/1/03, I tried access their system to use the "e-notes" feature they want customers to use...well, well, well...it appears that they have deleted my account from their database
without notifying me! Not only am I not able to log in, I can't recover my password (yes, I know my e-mail address)...

Ebuyer appears to be a UK based company that has an office in the Phoenix AZ area. This treatment appears to the the standard British treatment of a PITA situation.

"Fast delivery. Ordered on a Saturday and received on following Tuesday. This is primarily because they have an East Coast warehouse near me. Packaging of my oreder was poor. My ordered arrived strewed out of its box. Although my order was reboxed into a much larger box, only a minimal amount of packaking paper was used and all it did was keep the smaller box from sliding around. Absolutely no protection."

"Purchased a game (Dungeon Siege) from eBuyer since they had a much lower price than anyone else, and free ground shipping as well. Received two emails from them, one an order confirmation, and the other to let me know my order shipped. Another reviewer commented that the customer service "notes" process is a hassle because it requires a login, but hey, at least you know when your request has been seen by a real live HUMAN. That's more than can be said for the email black holes some other vendors employ. All in all, a very good purchasing experience."

"Ordered a power supply in Ca.

Their site is based on Ca. and they don't charge tax to in state buyers. My order took longer than stated which was unusual so I decided to email them to check up on my order. They stated that I've ordered in state and since they don't charge tax, they first have to reroute my item so it's not to be taxable.

They gave clear dates as to when this was done and when I should expect my shipment. Although my item took approximately a week for it to arrive, they notified me and let me know the whole ordeal. Everything was done timely and for two shipping routes done within a week IMO is totally acceptable.

I shopped around for the lower price and the item took maybe 2 days more in transit than it would other wise.

Over all, I would buy from them again and I already mentioned them to a friend of mine as a reputable company. Hopefully they'll take initiative to let customers know about these subtle changes in order schedules before they inquire it.

Also, I didn't actually email them since their customer service is reached through "e note" which is sort of an interactive msg system they use to track order questions and such. You must have an account with them to utlize this feature I think... A bit more hassle since you have to log on to the site to read new msgs and to type new ones, but they do provide a tracking system for your msgs which through email you wouldn't have the luxury. I would consider it as a bit of an even tradeoff...
