"I was recently at the Downtown Portland Eddie Bauer Store and they had a recent facelift. The Manager Stacia, whom I knew from the Clackamas Town Center Store is their new Manager. The store was clean, well organized and Staff was friendly, willing to help and offering suggestions. I had gone to see Stacia whom was busy training and interviewing, but took time on her break to chat for a few minutes over coffee. Stacia, I am sure knows my closet and size as well as future adventures and keeps in touch with me as well as all her regular customers and keeps all of us in the know of sales and when items come in. "Their online shopping is the worst in the business. I placed an order 7 days ago. I used shop runner because I needed my items in a hurry, since I was leaving on vacation in two weeks time. My mistake was in assuming 2 weeks would give plenty of time for "2 day shipping". However it took Eddie Bauer over a week to even process the order, unacceptable. Then come to find out one of the items is no longer in stock. Had I been notified I could have ordered a different color. Now the item is no longer on sale and even if I ordered another color it would not arrive in time. With great services choices like Amazon and REI, I will no longer be purchasing from your company. I have been a loyal gold card member for over 10 years."

"I was at their Park Royal store, I asked one of the sales person to check the jacket price with the computer, but after five minutes she manually gave me the total price, which was $259 with an additional 40% off. I was sure that something is wrong she could see the price on the computer, so it was strange that she was doing it manually, so I went home and I checked the item online the item was on clearance $179.99 and then 40% off the total was only $107.99. I called to the customer service and I explained the situation and asked for help. I should have taken a screenshot of the page because after I finished my word they changed the item price right in front of me.
They are meant to give the same price as is listed online, and instead of acknowledging any error and offering the price advertised online, they simply changed the price to hide what has happened.

"I used to be a huge fan of Eddiebauer.com. The quality used to be great, customer service was fast and responsive, and clothing sizes where consist. Not anymore! Clothing quality has declined significantly, sizing and fit is terrible and prices have gone up a lot. Their customer service and return process is crazy slow. I used the authorized return label to send back most of my items because they didn't fit. It has taken almost 30 days to get the credit for my return! I may have to use them again because there aren't many other places I can get tall sized clothing, but right now I'm not looking forward to future experiences. I will also say their in-store merchandising also ****. "

"I should've looked here before ordering anything from them, but I imagined that as a name brand company they would have their stuff together. They sent me the wrong item; they sent me a shirt instead of a backpack. I immediately put the item back in the mail and indicated I wanted an exchange for the item I actually ordered. That was a week ago and the exchange still hasn't been acknowledged. I get it, they indicate that returns take awhile, deterring you from making them. But you'd think that with their flubb up, they'd work efficiently to remedy this. Instead, they wanted me to place a second order (pay more money) to get the backpack to me sooner. And then, I would pay for shipping on the returned "backpack" aka shirt. That's unbelievable to me. I will wait patiently for the item I actually ordered and give it to the person I intended to gift it to late. I will then, never order from them again."

Once you order a package online the order is Final. As a result, you cannot cancel or change the order even if it is back-ordered for months. The customer service rep will tell you they will "request" a cancellation but it is a bogus effort as they will not provide a cancellation number or any other proof of the effort. In fact, they will tell you that the item will probably ship no matter what they do. What they don't inform you is that you will be responsible to pay return shipping charges. Hassle-free returns does not equal free returns!!"
"I cannot say enough about the poor shipping that's free for gold members. Eddie Bauer is our go to store and I would like to feel like they reciprocate the loyalty. Fedex stinks in my area and I have alerted Eddie to that fact. Still no change in how items are shipped. Quite a shame as their clothing and shoes are great. Will be searching for another retailer that wants to earn my business"
"They cancelled my online order which I used store credit for. I tried again and it says my store credit has been used. I have emailed about reimbursement and they have not given me a straight answer. They say if you order online it's not guaranteed as they don't ship from stores. As of right now I feel they have stolen from me.why would I order online if there's a chance it will be canceled. If companies can't keep up with the times they will go the way of sears. "
