"Overall not a completely terrible experience, I got what I needed and it worked, but not a great experience either. I ordered 1 PC133 512Mb High Density Memory Module,(the cheap stuff) and 4 32MB 72-pinn SIMMS. After I made my order I read the reviews here and was pretty scared that I wasn't going to get it. It took them about 2 weeks and a couple of emails just to fill my order. When they did fill it they sent it 3 day UPS. The packaging was pretty good, static proof bag for the memory, in plenty of packing peanuts. I installed the memory, works perfectly. So no problems there. One very important thing to note, be careful on the type of computer you have. High density memory will not work in the Intel chipsets from what I understand. I have a IWill KK266R motherboard and it worked fine. Due to the long order filling time and everyone else's horror stories, I don't think I would order from this company again. There are plenty of other companies out there who sell cheap memory, but they were one of the few who had cheap SIMMS.(What I was really looking for)"
"So far they have flat out robbed me and I haven't bought anything from them. The ONLY experience I've had with these people was an order I placed back in mid July which I quickly cancelled after reading these reviews. I cancelled it by speaking to a representative on the phone (after trying like hell to get through) just like their website instructed to and my account read "CANCEL" on the same site a few days later. My card was charged anyway and I still haven't received a refund. Very conveniently, my account on their website was removed so I can't log in and see that "CANCEL" status on that particular order anymore. Their 800 number doesn't ring and doesn't sound like it's even working. (It's a rapid busy signal, not like a normal busy.) No responses to email either. I'm in the process now of disputing with the credit card company to get my money back and letting them now about these crooks. A friend told me about writing to my local newspaper which I will do also. Any other ideas you guys have of legally taking this company down please post them here. They deserve every bit of it for what they do to their customers (the ones that are left!)
ps: Thanks to dje2137 for that other phone #."
"Here's a number and extension for anybody having trouble getting ahold of these people. ***-***-**** ext. 204. I ordered a processor before I read these reviews, and after I read these I cancelled my credit card before they verified my card. I ordered from NEWEGG the next day and I already have the processor. Edge Micro just called me today to get new credit card info. Stay away from Edge Micro. I've spent over $15,000 at NEWEGG and have not had a single problem."
"I have had a very similar experience like most people here. Fortunately, it looks like things will be ok when this is all over. I ordered a chip of memory on Monday, August 19, 2002. When seven days later it had not been shipped and the status of my order still said “In Progress”, I became a little worried. I came across this page and saw everybody’s remarks on this rather interesting company… Well, since my order had - of course - not been shipped yet, and I certainly didn’t want to pay 15% to have it cancelled, I decided to send a little note informing them that if they didn’t cancel my order within 24 hours, then I would file suit. That was last night. This morning, I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled and the charges and been refunded to my credit card. I checked the website order status, and sure enough the status was “cancelled”. I have not checked my credit card statement yet, and if the charges do not get refunded I’ll post a follow-up message. Once again, I am very lucky."
"I TRIED ordering a Noblesse ATX case they said they had. It was a good price with no shipping cost. I kept calling and e-mailing for two weeks until I finally got through on 8/2/02 and I spoke to Jason. He said he would have the order out that day and would send it 3-day air. Never happened! I e-mailed Pame Chow (****@****) to find out what is going on. This is what she said.
"The shipping manager said that the
serial numbers on those cases were all messed up and shows
that they are in stock, when in fact we cannot find any of
them."
I told her to cancel my order and credit my CC that same day and not wait three weeks, like I have been reading in other posts. I threatened to get my CC company involved and that seems to have worked. I got the 100% credit back that same day and it showed after midnight. No 15% restocking fee for something they don't have. PAME CHOW is ABLE to give refunds that same day you request it. If they don't get your CC company involved."
"I ordered 4 ea. 16X64 128 MB SO-DIMM RAM modules from Edge Micro. They shipped me four 64 MB modules which were marked as 128 MB modules. 16 MB X 64 bits wide. There were four chips on the module. 16 MB times four chips equals 64 MB. Is my math off or something?
Also, the IC's were unmarked. I am a component engineer. When a part is unmarked, it means grey market, i.e. the manufacturer did not test/qualify the parts, or the parts failed test and were not sent on to be marked. Thus, though the memory may test "Good", does it test at 128 MB? I am willing to bet that they are selling faulty silicon.

This is what I am talking about. It happens frequently.

"I have ordered 2 memory sticks from here and wanted to return it. I have requested RMA several times and there is still no response. I have been waiting for several months now. Site is horrible"
"Worst online experience I've ever had. "
"the worst experience i've ever had. they charged my credit card even before they notify me of my order. i was trying to call and write email - no response. i asked to cancel my order - no response. i'm going to contact my credit card company to dispute this charge."
"Edge Micro are thieves! The sell junk and then charge restocking fees when you return it without substantiating "how" they test it. I bought 2 SO DIMMS from them for my DELL laptop because they said they would be compatible (through Pricewatch) When I asked why they charged me a restocking fee they said the RAM tested good. When I told them my current RAM works just fine and THEIRS didn't, they said, "must be a compatibility issue." DUH! But THEY are the ones that said it was compatible.
Brian Bang should be convicted and sentenced for these types of business practices."
"Found them on PriceWatch with a link to a SODIMM I needed, They listed it as Compatable with most Toshiba Laptops ( I haev an 18month old Toshiba), I followed the link and ordered what was presented, but what I didn't notice was that while the listing was for PC100 (what I needed), the item itself was actually PC133.
I tried calling for an hour to try and cancel the order, I got through after hour of busy signals, and being on hold Only to be told that I could not cancel the order I just placed 1 hour and 10 minutes before, and but I could substitute something else, only to be told that even though they advertised it as "works with most Toshiba Laptops" propably won't, and that they don't even sell any memory that would, and that if I cancelled I would be charged $15.00 for the privilage. Remember they advertised it WAS compatible, so my only recourse is to get it and return it with a 15% restocking fee. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!!"
"company refused my RMA after I took the time to get an RMA# and post it clearly on the package. They're phone is always busy. When I emailed them they rudely wrote back saying things like: "Didn't you read our return policy?" and "We don't make the rules, we only enforce them.""
"Ordered from them last week because they are only about 200 miles from us. Got no confirmation email, and can't get them on the phone..I have called and called and called, all I get is a busy signal...or nothing. Will never do business with them again."
"The problem was that I ordered the product .. 2nd day for a customer and I got the product shipped to me a week later. I tried getting threw there phone line and they had a busy signal. I also tried to e-mail them. They didn't reply to the e-mail that I sent them. I will not do business with this company again.."
"Was and absolute miserable experience. I ordered memory back in July was promised twice that the memory was going out that day and they just got a shipment in. After the third conversation with them I realized I was never getting the memory and I cancelled my order. I ask them how long it would take for a refund and they told me 3 weeks. Well I am on my fourth week and just got off the phone with them and asked them again how long it would take. Jason said "I am not sure how long it would take because I do not do the refunds". I asked him how long it normally takes and he said "It takes 4 to 6 weeks". I said it only took you a day to charge me why does it take 6 weeks to credit me. He said it is a lot harder to credit then it is to charge. hmmm... That is funny since I has never had a problem with any other vendor. Anyway I strongly recommend that you do not ever buy anything from them. In the time it took to get an answer on when I was getting my memory I waited days and then ordered from crucial and they delivered before edge micro would even had product to ship."
