"Well, I met someone that I thought was great. Only to find out that he was still married. And he lied to me for several months about it. He has no consideration of the women he gets involved with. I do take 50% blame in that I didn't check his background enough. We tried to work through it all but, he kept talking to other women behind my back. I ended the relationship."
"I very nervously became a member on Jan 9, of this year. On Jan 10, I received a "smile" from one of your members, questions on Jan 11, and a request to change to e-mail almost immediately. I arranged to meet this person on Jan 18. We had a 3-4 hour lunch, and have seen each other every Saturday and Sunday and holiday since. "Obviously when someone has to pay for a service, they take it more seriously, so I found the women using eHarmony were a slightly better candidates then some of the candidates on “free” sites like Plenty of Fish (POF) where you get hookers, people trying to catfish you, and other scam artists trying to fool you. And eHarmony asks a lot more questions and shows the results to potential candidates so you get a better idea if the person is a decent match or not. But in the end, they take the same approach as any other dating site (free or pay) – they just throw a lot of candidates at you and hope you and make you do all the work of weeding through them to find someone that might also have interest in you. So basically, it’s another time-consuming site like the rest of them regardless of what they say in their ads on TV. They really AREN’T any better than the rest. I have also used Match.com and the same is true of them as well – only I found their interface more confusing than eHarmony’s. I had no more success finding dates on eHarmony than I did on the free sites like POF. Only on POF, as I said, I did have someone try to scam me, I also got approached by women looking for a sugar daddy, and also women looking for someone to take care of them and their kids. I didn’t encounter any of that on eHarmony or Match.com."

"eHarmony has been a huge disappointment. I've been a member for a year and a half and have had a grand total of three dates during that time. Part of the problem is that nearly half of the profiles I'm sent have no pictures at all so you have no clue what the person looks like. The information contained in the profiles is limited. eHarmony has been a total waste of my time and money and I am going to cancel my membership.
