After reviewing suggested plans I called the service number indicated and spoke with representative Tim White who helped me narrow down my choices. The process was very straight forward and a giant step ahead of the State of Connecticut Exchange process."

"I cannot say enough about their customer service.

My aunt has cancer, so we had a LOT of detailed questions about the policy. They knew it inside and out, and so far all is panning out. Saw our doctor on Monday, all bills and co-pays look correct.

"The website is well organized and user friendly for the most part. When looking over the options, I had to start over several times. There should be a way to highlight and save, even write notes, on the plans most fitting for us. I ran into several questions during the application process that I thought could be easily answered with a help button, I like help buttons to clarify confusing open questions. Is a step child a "child" or "other"? Is the name of the current provider Cobra or Aetna? Is the effective date when the original policy started with previous employer or when the date cobra went into effect? What if one of my dependents did not have coverage previouly because of a beneits election error? CALL Telephone support!! wonderful , friendly, knowledgeable, good listeners, very very helpful!! CALL!! Don't hesitate to CALL! "

"For the past 7+ years, I have always had a positive experience with eHealthInsurance.com. I've had help by phone and by online chat and have searched the website extensively. I can't say how much I appreciate the clear information and the friendly and competent service. After *trying* to use the state website to no avail and with many problems, I have to say, I am unlikely to ever go anywhere else but eHealthInsurance for my health insurance needs. I wholeheartedly recommend this site."

"I think the web design is easy to use. However I think the product is misleading in terms of cost. The site provides an "Estimated Cost" but there are additional fees at the end that add about $30 extra to the cost. This should be included in the estimate because it misleads customers. They also deliberately add in extra services you might not be aware of (i.e. Teledoc), which you also have to cancel separately, or you will continue to be charged.

Further when you cancel a plan voluntarily charges are still taken out of your credit card each month because you have to tell them you want to cancel Teledoc too (Teledoc is a mandatory service charge). They don't give you your money back because they say you should have read all of the documents. I would imagine a very small percentage of people read the fine print. The site seems set up to mislead in order to make an extra buck.

So good web design but you'll have to cancel the plan and the add on services at the same time (which will likely be unclear until you are charged). It is my personal belief ehealthinsurance is set up to mislead customers by charging more than advertised cost even after the plan is cancelled.
