"Ordered a strategy guide for a game. I finished the game without a guide, which is no big deal, but placed several calls to see what the status of my order was. I was constantly told that it has shipped and will arrive shortly, or they would rush me off the phone saying they would email me the details of the order. Whenever i asked for a tracking number, there was never one available. Finally, after many calls, they told me my order was lost in the mail. They could send another one or refund my money in 3-5 days. Still waiting on that refund... I gave one star because they won't let me give zero... "
"I will not purchase from this company ever again. If it wasnt for a special purchase I wished to make for my fiance for Christmas, I would have returned this product. I purchased a Game of Thrones Behind the Scenes book set. They accidentally sent me 2. They harassed me with multiple emails for over three months, threatening to charge my credit card for an extra purchase I didn't make. They continued to harass me, forcing me to pay ridiculous shipping fees in order to return the book to them. If I did not reply to emails in a timely manner they would email me multiple times in a week and began to threaten my credit card. I expressed my disappointment multiple times in replies to them. Horrible service. I will never order from here again. I do not recommend."
"Purchased text from Valore Books supposed to be filled by ERGODE BOOKS. Book never mailed. asked for refund and told that I should ask mail man if he saw book. They would not provide tracking information or refund. After several weeks they indicated that they would refund cost of book. When asked they stated original book returned due to USPS ripping mailing label. They then stated they would refund my costs. No such luck!! After indicating still waiting on refund, they sent new email that book resent 2 day priority mail. When I told them that my son was already back in school and book purchased from school bookstore and waiting on refund they stopped responding. Now 8 days later and 8 emails later still no response from ERGODE Books. Now credit card folks are investigating. STAY WAY FROM THIS SELLER and stay away from Valore as they allow this company to sell from their site.
It is now one month since ordering book. Finally arrived after many emails stating I was to be refunded. I have received 7 emails stating that they are going to send a return shipping label but so far nothing. In fact they have not responded to emails in past 5 days. I have contacted fraud department of credit card and looking into filling a complaint with California State's Attorney's Office as shipping label had a California address on it. I have spent hours trying to get this corrected and they have not followed through with any of the promises made in any of their emails. This experience continues to he horrific and I am not sure what options are left since they will not respond.

"I placed an order with Ergode for a 2016 calendar. I never received a tracking number and was wondering if my item was shipped, when I received a package in the mail... for the 2015 version of the calendar I had wanted. I contacted the shipper, and they told me that Ergode never told them which year was ordered. Apparently Ergode didn't care which item was ordered, as the shipper had e-mailed Ergode asking which year to send, but never received an answer. When I e-mailed Ergode, requesting information on how to return the item, they requested that I provide them with the ISBN #. I did so. The next day, they requested photos of the calendar. I did so. After yet another day, they said an RMA had been generated and that they would need 48 hours to send me the information I needed to send the calendar back. After over 48 hours went by, I contacted them again. The next day I was told that "Due to technical glitch in our system RMA # did not get generated.", asking for yet more time. All I wanted at this point were instructions on sending the calendar back! Thankfully I was able to rectify the matter with the shipper, no thanks to Ergode. I would never trust Ergode with an order ever again. Whatever it is you want - look elsewhere! They will just keep giving you the run around."
"Ergode Books is also doing business yet under ANOTHER name on Amazon - "amitcj". I am one of MANY customers this happened to in December 2015. The Seller listed an out of print DVD on Amazon which I ordered (along with other OOP DVD's and books apparently per the feedback). I ordered the DVD, only to have an e-mail from the company stating that someone uploaded the wrong file and that they wanted ME to cancel the order (I assume it was to avoid multiple cancellations which may affect them on Amazon). I did cancel the order and I left negative feedback for the practice (again, as many other Buyers did at the same time). Approx. a day after leaving the feedback, the company started to e-mail me: I understand you are a serious collector and this must have caused you lot of inconvenience. We are sincerely very sorry for this human error and request your forgiveness. We have been selling on Amazon for more than 8 years now. This is the first time, such a huge error has been made by our listing team. All these items we listed were discontinued long time back. I hope you will understand and beg you to forgive us. In addition to full refund including shipping to compensate for the inconvenience caused I can give you following options: 1. We can process additional refund towards compensation. 2. If you prefer, we can send you Amazon gift card that you can use to purchase any item from any vendor from entire Amazon. It would never expire and would just work like cash. 3. Any other resolution that might work better for you. All of the above mentioned options would get you additional compensation in some ways to make up for your inconvenience. We will do our best to solve the issue regardless of your feedback decision. Meantime, your public negative feedback would affect our business in these tough economic times. Would you please consider removing feedback and give us a chance to resolve the issue. I ignored this e-mail . . . and the 4 that followed until today. Today, I returned their e-mail with a "remedy", hoping to get them to stop e-mailing me and POSSIBLY fixing the situation. I stated that that only way I would remove my feedback was an Amazon giftcard in the amount of the LOWEST USED PRICE for the DVD listed on Amazon - $36.01 + $3.99 shipping (the original order I placed with them was for $21.00+ shipping. I feel that this was fair - I was not asking for anything other than the item which I had ordered. Of course, they declined to remedy remedy me with this final wording in the e-mail: "Many of our buyers have understood this genuine mistake and have refrain themselves by posting negative feedback. However we had a hard hard luck with some of them. We can now consider this matter closed. We do value and appreciate your business and we wish you the best in all walks of your life. Regards, Robin Savi" So, this is a seller that has a team that lists a bunch of items for sale they do not have, then ask YOU to cancel the order to their mistake, and if you leave negative feedback, will beg you to remove it and BADGER you if you do not respond. If you actually propose a remedy to remove the feedback (such as mine) you are turned down and pretty much insulted. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! Oh, the icing on the cake, AFTER they declined my proposition for a remedy,m I got YET ANOTHER e-mail stating my order was cancelled!!!! Seriously - 2016 and this is how you do business??????

"I ordered a 6 volume set of books from this dealer almost three months ago and received a single unrelated volume. I contacted the company, scanned the cover and isbn and returned the book in its original packing. The post office confirmed the book was received back a month and a half ago. In spite of several attempts, including contacting ABE through whom I ordered the original item, I keep getting the same BS about verifying the returned item and have not been reimbursed my money. My order was shipped in less time than expected, and I received my book a week and a half after placing the order, which was within the shipping time frame I selected. My book was in mint condition. For those who are concerned no tracking is provided, in your confirmation email, there is an option to contact them and track the package.
