"The service is good and more reliable. Within stipulated period of time they deliver your item "
"I ordered a book via Amazon.com where the seller identified himself as 'ajitcj'. When it did not arrive he replied to my inquiry as Jason at ergodebooks.com. In reply to my second email, he identified as Joy at ergodebooks.com. He provided no help and only dead-end information. - STAY AWAY!! "
"I ordered a six-volume set of books. After waiting for 30 days and no delivery, I contacted the seller who claimed the order must have been "lost in transit", despite not being able to produce a tracking number to show that it had ever been sent. They then promised to "re-send" the item. When it arrived (another month later) it was ONE book out of the six volume set. So I waited 3 months total, only to get a fraction of what I ordered. Now I have to figure out how to get a refund from them, after the 30day refund window has passed... TERRIBLE"
"Do not do business with these people. They gouge customers on books they don't currently even own, and then ask for a refund from the seller based on a lie that they didn't receive the book or that it wasn't in the stated condition. They are crooks and horrible human beings."
"I ordered a book from them. They sent me the wrong book and after calling them twice they did not send me an email on how to return the book and get a new order. After looking at several reviews online, it's clear that this company is a scam by a lowlife. Don't waste your time with this loser."
"I ordered 2 graphic novels. The vol. 2 took weeks to arrive. Now, months later, VOLUME ONE has yet to be sent. I sent an email and did not get a response. Then, I spoke with "customer service" several times over the phone and eventually they sent an email saying that it had already been sent and that I should be receiving the item 4-14 business days from the ORIGINAL order date (which had already passed). That was mid February. Now, at the end of April, I sent another email with no response and called the customer service number. When the rep answered, he told me to call back later today or tomorrow. I understand small companies. I am an office manager of one. This is unacceptable! I wouldn't even be surprised if this review was deleted..."
"Do not do business with these guys. Ordered a book for class, never got it, then they sent me a fake tracking number.
The business is ran by an Indian man out of his basement. "
"Paid 30 dollars for a book. Called them after 3 weeks said I never received it yet. They said they would mail it out immediately. Never did, time went by called them back said they couldn't do anything for me."
""Ergodebooks" / "amitcj" / "extremelyreliable" are scam companies run out of a house at 25547 Canyon Crossing Dr., Richmond, TX 77406, phone ***-***-****. House is owned by Amee Shah-SA and Rupeshkumar Sanghavi.
I bought a book from them, which was never delivered (it was never shipped..!!). For two months, ergodebooks made me run around in circles, made me call the post office, provided me with fake tracking numbers, lied to my face that the book had been shipped when this hadnt been the case etc.. until i started searching the internet, realized this was all a scam and i managed to get a refund.
Ergodebooks has NO inventory, they are a drop shipping company, book brokers. The scam buyers by selling them books at inflated prices, or by failing to deliver orders, and they scam sellers by occasionally pretending they do not receive their orders. These people are essentially scammers.
This is a scam that needs to be stopped - they are literally infecting websites such as amazon / abebooks with MILLIONS of book postings. "
"I purchased a book on Amazon, it was a very rare book at a very good price...too good to be true...from a company called amitcj...he book never came...I contacted them and got a response offering a replacement or refund...I chose a replacement...it was he last I heard from them. After a month I requested a refund and they gave me one immediately. A couple of months later I was shopping for another book...once again saw a rare book at a great price on AbeBooks from Ergodebooks so I ordered it. Now, a month later, no book. I contacted them and the email I got back was EXACTLY the same as the one I got from amitcj, even the person's name was the same! These people bait you with low prices, don't ship the book then hope you'll forget and they keep your money. I've never seen a scam like this ion all my years of shopping on the internet."
"We are seeing the other side. We have been Amazon sellers since 1996. We have books in our warehouse. These days we are getting orders from scam artists like ergodebooks, which is also amitcj. Ergodebooks/amitcj has NO books to sell. They post listings on many sites for inflated prices. When something sells, they search around to find a cheaper copy, then place an order with legitimate sellers like us, and tell us to send the book to their buyer, but don't include an invoice or pricing information. We hate these Orders because we know the ultimate buyer is being scammed. It makes no sense to us why any buyer would pay their inflated prices. We can't cancel the order or it would negatively impact our ratings. Amitcj is run out of a house at 25547 Canyon Crossing Dr., Richmond, TX 77406, phone ***-***-****. The house is owned by Amee Shah-SA and Rupeshkumar Sanghavi, and the orders we receive come from Amee. We have had to add delivery confirmation to all our orders because Amee has cheated other Amazon sellers and said books were never received. So they are cheating both buyers and actual sellers. Amazon has been lax in cracking down on book jackers, but Amee keeps changing his/her login id, so that makes it tough.

"I have used TextbookRush in the past so when my class switched professors 2 weeks after starting and I needed new books in a hurry I thought I would be fine. TextbookRush didn't have the title I needed, but they recommended ErgodeBooks as a "trusted marketplace seller". I paid for expedited shipping--but they didn't even ship out until a week after my order was placed. When I finally got the book it was the WRONG book.
When I emailed them asking for the correct book to be delivered via overnight shipping they took 24 hours to finally let me know that the book was unavailable. I'm very dissatisfied and now I have to wait up to 48 hours to even begin the refund process. Meanwhile I don't have the required book for class and I am past the withdraw date. I have nothing positive to say about ErgodeBooks and I will think twice about using TextbookRush since they vouched for such a shady company."
"An £80 order for an out of date guidebook to be shipped to the Middle East Despite a statement on ordering that it would arrive by a certain date, it never arrived.Instead a strange note signed by 'Sean, owner of BennettBooksLtd' that the bbok would arrive within a few business days NickS at Ergode now confirms that traces of the book whether sent or not ,cannot be found. AbeBooks' customer services also totally failed to respond to my inquiries .Deal with all of these people at your peril"
"I was searching for a hard-to-find title, and found two copies listed on Bibliofind.uk that were actually from Ergodebooks. I ordered both and received a confirmation email the next day saying that they had been shipped successfully... but after waiting over a month, none had arrived, so I emailed Bibliofind.uk and they forwarded the message to Ergodebooks - who provided an email with their phone number. I called it and they said they did not have a tracking number and said the books had been shipped but must have been lost in the mail. I asked for replacement copies but as they had none, they refunded my purchase price including shipping. I continued my search for the title and found a copy listed through BookByte.com and ordered it, Again I got an email that it had been shipped, Again, a month went by without receiving it so I contacted Bookbyte.com - only to learn that the actual seller had been Ergodebooks! I called Ergodebooks again and was given the same story that there was no tracking number; the post office lost the book, and they would be willing to eat the loss and refund my money - which they did. I've ordered thousands of books by mail and have never had a shipment go missing before. What are the odds that both orders from Ergodebooks got lost in the mail? The fact that they didn't have any replacement copies when the first order was lost means they could not have fulfilled the later order through Bookbyte.com so they HAD to be lying when they said they'd shipped that order! They did the right thing refunding my money without giving me a lot of runaround... but I believe they were lying when they said they shipped each of my orders and then blamed it on the Post Office. I order a lot of books and could easily have overlooked the fact that the orders were not delivered if I had not been so keen to find this particular title. Why would they claim it has been shipped when they could have been honest and said it was not in stock? Are they a bookjacker? For any customers who fail to make a claim against undelivered books, Ergodebooks gets to keep their money. I do not trust them and would never order from them again."
"I ordered from this company and as soon as I ordered the screwed it up. The conformation email was not delivered. I called in a week later an nobody would talk to me without the order number that ONLY comes with the conformation email I had to call back again to ask for a manager just to get something going. After waiting a full 3 weeks calling repeatedly they finally admitted to not just to loosing my order but also not having a stock of the book like the normally do so they could replace it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Buy from a reputable company."
