"Purchased 3 hard drives from expansys. All three of them came without any problems so far except the serial number labeled on the invoice is totally different from the ones I've received. I emailed expansys and tried to remedy the issue but they told me that they can only note that the serial# were different and can not make any changes to the invoice. These hard drives are sold as component parts and not OEM or retail. Any warranty filed must go through expansys-usa.com. The problem I foresee arrives when I need warranty for these drives and they will not accept it because of the difference in serial #. I filed an RMA 8 months later when a HD died on me. They authorized the return with RMA # 2401E1REPAIR1213RS on 13 Dec 2012. I did not receive any RMA updates from Expsnsys until I emailed them on 12 Jan 2013. Received their response, "We have shipped your device to get it repaired Turn-around may be about 6-8 weeks." on 14 Jan 2013. I emailed them last week and today again in regards to my RMA status. They have yet to reply. It has been 10 weeks since Expansys replied to the status update. 3 months since I shipped the device. I have yet gotten any answer for them. I will not recommend them to any friends or family. I will never purchase from them again. I would recommend all hard drive customers to stay away from Expansys and pay the extra money to buy from a authorize re-seller. I also have all email chains from Expansys for proof that this review is fair.

Update: 05/30/2013
I finally received the hard drive replacement and was notified that they were unable to resolve my rma issue. I was issued a brand new OEM hard drive. I believe this was kind on their behalf along with renewing my warranty on this new hard drive.

Eric reached out to me after these reviews and have properly resolved the problem. I was able to return all 3 of my hard drive with advance replacement added 2 years of warranty directly with manufacturer.
