"I have happily received the product I ordered, but I think the speed of the order process could have been faster. Although I'm ordering outside US - the company has international shipping, so I'm surprised by all the documation I had to provide to be able to fulfill the order. Considering the easiness of ordering elsewhere from eBay and other stores, using Paypal, this took several days. This was also coursed by the slow replies from customer service - with every email and reply, there went two extra days - so although I ordered thursday 26th of April, my order didn't ship until May 1st. "This is my first time to buy things from Expansys and it is the worst online buying experience ever.
Communication: information of availability of the product on the website is inaccurate. When I ordered Nokia lumia case and bluetooth headset, on its page it says: in stock, ready for order. After the order is placed, on the order tracking page it says: ships 5~10 days. After a week, I haven't received any notification or anything and the order page says: ships 10~15 days. I was so confused and contacted them via emails. After my 2nd email, their rep finally replied and said the products were not in stock and they ordered them from manufacturer and were waiting for the arrival.
It could save me a lot of time and efforts, if the order page or the product page has accurate information. Now everything is tracked via software and I can't imagine how hard it is for them to do this.
And the language "ships 5~10 days" makes me so confused. It is not the same as "ships in 5~10 days" and does it mean the product will be shipped by Expansys to me or from manufacturer to Expansys or what? I guess they are trying to make the language vague so they can be covered if any slow delivery complaints filed. I wrote the rep another email of suggestions and never hear back from her, not even a courtesy email saying "thank you for your feedback, but....".
Anyway, after 10 days, finally they shipped the item to me.
Tracking package: When I receive notification of shipment, it doesn't have any information of which delivery company they used and when it will arrive. Again, I have to email them and ask for the info. The answer is: there is no tracking number and it will take 7~10 biz days.
Why can't this information be included in the notification email and I have to ask for it? How hard it is to update their system generated email template?
Product: in good condition.
Return: Before you order anything from Expansys, make sure you do your research of their long and strict return policy. In my case, according to the conditions listed on their return policy, since the product is ordered by them from manufacturers, I don't think I can return. Again, I didn't learn this information until my order is placed, which makes me feel it's very unfair.
Because of what I felt so far about their customer service, I rather let the 30 bucks go and not to bother to spend the time to write another email to ask.
In my case, the products are not available in any other websites or stores, so I had no choice but trusted Expansys online reputation and placed my order. And I had positive online shopping experience all the time and assumed they will be the same. And I'm so wrong.
If I ever have a choice, I will never buy anything from this website again. Because its terrible communication, misleading stock availability info, and strick return policy.
If there were a time machine, I wish I could go back to time and told the me in the past please not to feel exited that finally the products I want to buy so much are found on this website and not to place this order via Expansys USA. "
