"Summary: good price (5 stars), but Expansys-USA shipped a product I cannot even plug into a regular US power outlet. I was forced to pay for return shipping and dealing with returned email and full voice mail box from their RMA department. I should not be paying for their mistakes (ship me a product I cannot use) and problems (returned email for some reason and full voice mail so I cannot even leave a message with their RMA department). Shipping 2 stars, customer service overall, 4 stars, return/refund 1 star

I ordered a Belkin router and Asus DSL Modem+Router from expansys. They had one of the best Belkin router price on the net and that's what attracted me. Their resellerrating was also good so I thought I was safe.

My order was on Monday April 9, They shipped my Belkin router + Asus modem&router a week later, Monday April 16, 2012. So far, everything has been great, until I got my package.

My Belkin router worked right out of the box and I'm using it to connect to the internet and write this review. My Asus modem+router was shipped with a European plug, probably a UK plug, which I cannot even plug into my power outlet. I immediately contacted expansys on Sunday, via email. I also contacted expansys customer service and RMA on Monday and Tuesday. I could not even leave a voice mail on expansys RMA as I got a message the voice mail box is full.

I explained my problem in my email and it was frustrating when I cannot even leave a message on their RMA department voice mail. I also received this from my yahoo mail on Tuesday.

I contacted their customer service again and explained I should not be paying for return shipping as it is not my mistake. The customer service rep was polite but she told me there is not much she can do, I need to contact their RMA department.

I was forced to mail the package on Thursday as I received an RMA # email on Tuesday and the language said it'll expire in 2 weeks. I sort of gave up getting a response from their RMA department, given my multiple email to them resulted in 1 email return and a simple RMA issuance email. I interpret I need to make sure they receive it in 2 weeks after issuance.

I called their RMA department again on Friday April 27 and this time, I was able to leave a message. I was finally able to speak to a live person and the person offered to send me a pre-paid shipping label. I explained I had to mail the package and they never responded to my request of a shipping label before (I have requested it via customer service as I wasn't having much luck reaching their RMA department). I also read their fine line in the RMA issuance email
"Expansys is not responsible for packages lost in transit, please ship
your return with delivery confirmation or other means of tracking the
delivery. Prepaid labels are available for defective returns only.
Expansys is not responsible for shipping costs of non-defective
returns. Orders under $100 which received initial free shipping are
not eligible for prepaid return shipping."

The RMA rep was polite, but just repeat he cannot refund my shipping cost. He did not answer my question why I wasn't given a return shipping label until AFTER I already sent in my return.

My order was under $100 and I did not pay for shipping, I guess they did not count their mistake of shipping me an adapter that I cannot even use in USA as "defective" so I had to pay for return shipping.

I hate to pay for someone's mistake, through no fault of my own. I've made repeated attempt to contact them, via email and phone to no avail. I do not understand their policy. I freely acknowledge my mistakes and problems but when I made good faith effort of contact them about the problems, they should realize by not offering me a free return shipping TO PAY for THEIR MISTAKE really does not go well.

I will not say I will never buy from them again, but it's not very likely I will purchase from them again. The return shipping wasn't much, about $11, but I hate to pay for a merchant's mistake, especially I followed the merchant's own instruction and tried to contact them and failed.

I will save the photograph I took of the UK/European power adapter as well as the email I had with them (especially the returned mail) for 3 months after this posting, if anyone wants proof. I reserve the right to edit out my personal information in the email before sending them out.

I've been using resellerratings since late 1990. I've learned from my 2 mistakes of purchase from low cost but low review (less than 7 or no to little review) merchants since then. This is the first time I had issue with a highly rated merchant. For shame.

"Placed an order for a Galaxy Nexus on Wednesday and received the phone on Friday. The package came in good condition. I had to contact customer services because the price was dropped a day after the order was placed. I was helped promptly and received the price adjustment about 4 days after contacted them but that's because the person who's in charge wasn't in the office. Overall, the experience with Expansys-USA was a pleasant one. Will do business with them again.

As a side note, the package contents of Galaxy Nexus were limited. No hard-copy of the phone manual, only quick-start guide. Got to go on line to download from Samsung's site. No phone sleeve, unlike the first Google phone that came with an Andy's phone sleeve. The phone itself is great, fast, beautiful screen, responsive. Did not regret making this purchase.

"This is going to sound like a too-good-to-be-true review, but I was so impressed with Expansys I had to leave a review. I placed my order late on a Wednesday and received an email 50 minutes after placing my order with my tracking information. It was shipped the same day and received on Saturday morning (they gave the option of Fedex home or business, I chose Home with the hope it would deliver on Saturday and got lucky) - less than 72 hours from order to arrival, with free shipping. I had never ordered from Expansys before, but this was an excellent experience. The package arrived well-packed, exactly as described, new, sealed, and works perfectly."

"Hi, My positive opinion all these days on expansys over amazon is totally deterred with this experience :-(

I felt I was cheated by expansys for not delivering what was promised in the product description.

The below item was posted and highlighted as 800Mhz Processor at your website and is now corrected t0 650Mhz after I realized the package delivered to me is 650Mhz only.

"This was my first time to purchase with Expansys. I ordered HTC One X Screen Protector, Clear Hard Shell and One X Car upgrade kit. I ordered from Italy and it was on 17th April then on the 23rd I had alrady my full package as ordered. Id didn't expect it to be that fast!! This is an amazing first ever experience for someone like me coming from a Developing country and I think that this is going to be the way to do purchases!!
