"I had an account alongside my husband’s. He requested a payout which went through, but I received a message that since our “accounts are highly overlapping”, and “it has been verified by the system that the account didn't comply with the bonus rules”, the accumulated bonus and the cash back were cancelled. I tried to find out what exactly their “system” has determined as noncompliant, the response was vague and not relevant to my particular case. Bottom line is that instead of using alternative cash back services and actually getting the accumulated cash back, I am left with 0, defying the purpose of using a cash back service. Judging by the reviews below (recognizing that they are left by people in a similar situation, unhappy with the service), leaving customers without their legitimate cash back is the modus operandi of this service, hence my rating. I will send a copy of the email exchange with them to the DE BBB as well to see if the authorities could verify its advertising practices and legitimacy"
"Stay away from these crooks. I placed my first order through them on December 1st on an eBay order for about $1,000. A day or two later I placed two more orders through them, again on eBay, but one was for $30 and one was $50. The only order that processed correctly was the $30 order for a whopping $.22 in cash back. When I inquired about this, Extrabux responded with "eBay US does not post cash back to Extrabux which means they determine this order is non-commissionable. Unfortunately, due to special circumstances with merchant eBay, you are not able to send inquiries to eBay. We are sorry that we are not able to get you cash back for your order. We would like to get you cash back as much as possible, but if the retailer won't pay the commission then we are unable to give you cash back."
So basically Extrabux is not honoring the cash back and telling me there's nothing I can do about it. There are numerous other reviews online stating similar experiences. "

"I’ve used their site A LOT. Used to be good, I earned over 300 a few years ago.
Now I went and used it to make 12 purchases. Each was supposed to get 7% back per their advertised rate. First they didn’t record the purchases so I am trying to add them manually which isn’t working well because they aren’t letting me select the dates correctly so most likely will get rejected. On top of that they are only giving me 2.5%. I’ve been emailing with their customer support (which took over a week to respond after multiple messages from me) and they are refusing to change it back to 7% which is what it was supposed to be.
Never using them again.
I would have earned $60-$70 from these purchases had I used Rakuten.

"I use many different cash back sites, usually depending on the site offering the best percent back for the particular retailer that I'll be buying on that day. I made a $400 purchase and after 2 weeks of not seeing the amount in my account, I contacted them to find out what the issue was. The person working with me, added the order manually to my account. After waiting another month plus, I logged in to find out my order had been declined, even though I still have the item I purchased! When contacting them, here is there word-for-word response. I call BS on this, because on the day that I was making my purchase, ExtraBux was the ONLY website offering cashback that day for the particular retailer. Read for yourself and you make up your mind if you want to risk purchasing something through their shady site.

Using or trying to use any coupons or special promotions that were not posted by Extrabux, including those received in an email or mailer directly from the store. Credit for your order will go to the source of the coupon – including directly to the store.
Visiting any other websites during the shopping session, especially any sites that offer shopping rewards, coupons or discounts, or using shopping or item links hosted on other sites. Visiting other websites can result in the retailer giving the credit for your order to another website, even if they don’t offer cash back.
Using more than one tab or browser window. Until your purchase is complete you should only use the initial window opened for you by Extrabux at the beginning of your shopping session.
Clicking through from Extrabux to the retailer site after you have already added items to your shopping cart. It is very important to use Extrabux from the beginning all the way through to the end of the shopping session when you complete your order. Some retailers do track what time you clicked through to their site and what time you placed items in your cart.

"I use multiple rebate companies and Extrabux is HORRIBLE! They will do everything to not send you money. I track all my purchases that i use with all the rebate companies and when i see that i did not get cash back from Extrabux, they usually tell me that I clicked to another site (which i am well aware of not to do). But this last purchase threw me over the edge since it's a large amount and they are giving me another excuse on why they can't give me cash back. They told me that i clicked on a site on 5/26 (when really i purchased it on 5/25)...they said the store does not give cash back on 5/26...UGH, really!?! Look at my confirmation email which shows I purchased this on 5/25. Obviously something is wrong with your system. Do not use this company b/c you will not get any money!"
