"Right part for reasonable price however the part (oil dipstick) was put in a box with paper placed on top. UPS trashed the box pretty good, putting a nice forty five degree bend in the part. Able to bend straight but shouldn't have hed to."

"I paid for priority shipping! I should have received my part already.. Groton shipped it ground and now I am scheduled for delivery on Monday... Now I have to rent a car for the weekend.. the $12.00 dollars Groton saved by shipping it ground now is going to cost me $80.00 to $100.00 dollars for a rental car.

"I had to try to get satisfaction from Bosal directly, as FCP will not send me a new header pipe, unless I buy another one first, or send the old one back, first, or put a card on file... which of course means I risk buying two pipes, if they chose not to honor the warranty.

I would have expected them to send me a new pipe, to get me back on the road. As it is, I am stuck with a defective part, with no recourse except to buy another one, from another vendor, and call it a loss. Below is my email to Bosal:

Hi: I received a defective Bosal header pipe for my 1988 Volvo 240. The hidden weld between the two down pipes is either non-existent or not complete, as exhaust blows forward out of the "crotch". Unfortunately I cannot see the weld, as it is too far in.

FCP Groton will not honor the warranty, unless I purchase another pipe, and send the old one back to them, first. Of course this is unacceptable for two reasons: For one, I cannot at the present time afford a new pipe, and two, I have no guarantee that they will ever refund my payment if I did have it to risk. I was hoping they could send me a new pipe, but they refused. They actually suggested I remove the old pipe, send it to them, and wait for a new one! So I am basically stuck with a noisy car, which leaks exhaust into the passenger compartment.

I was wondering if you would consider honoring the warranty yourself, as I know you have a good name and stand behind your products. If there is a department local to me in New York State, which I could contact, I would appreciate your forwarding this email to them, or sending me the address.

"Hello, I am Mike. I have been purchasing most of my items for my 95 Volvo 850 from FCP since 2007, and these are my reasons why.

1. Prices- They are very competitive to any other automotive parts supplier on the internet, plus they offer FREE shipping after you have purchased over a certain dollar amount, and they also have MANY opportunities to save even more with there Promo Codes.

2. Stocked Items- This is a company that actually STOCKS item, not like so many other internet reseller, who don't stock anything. FCP Groton has a lot of parts IN STOCK. If not, they can get it in generally within one day.

3. Returns- They are fast with getting these processed, and will notify you when it is done.

4. Customer Service- I have NEVER received anything but great customer service from them since day one. My car is a Canadian Volvo 850 version (10 Valve) GE model, so getting some parts for it can be difficult, but with good communication, you can always get the correct part.

Just remember that you need to know certain things to help them find the correct part for you.
Your Vehicle ID Number, and or Production Month and Year.
The more you know and let them know the better it all turns out for all.
