"Ordered a lower oil pan for a VW Passat. Tried to install the replacement pan from FCP and it wouldn't fit. It would hit an obstruction in the crankcase and wouldn't seat flat against the block. The original pan fits perfectly back on. Was given the run-around by customer service requiring my VIN and pics of the pan. After they confirmed that I received the correct pan, they refused to believe it was faulty. I've been an ASE Master Certified Technician for 10 years and worked on European imports for 6 years. I'm installing this oil pan correctly and it simply won't fit. Although they specifically state they guarantee OEM quality and fit, it failed completely and now they won't stand by there products. Poor and rude service, pathetic quality parts. It wouldn't be difficult to find a better vendor for the same prices elsewhere. "
"Vendor sent me the wrong part, a fuel tank sending unit. My car is a 1992, they sent a part for a 76-82 Volvo. I removed and replaced this part four times trying to determine why it was not working. Then I discovered, by reviewing the invoice, that they sent me the wrong part. I have been unable to reach sales, customer service, returns, or anyone else. This is during normal business hours. In the course of removing and replacing so many times--because they sent me the wrong part, I damaged the pre-pump--a $60 part. I have not received a reply to my email either. Additionally, I returned some other parts and still have not received a refund for those. BTW, these same parts are available on eBay for 1/2 the cost--boy do I feel like a dope trusting this company.
They take your money and they don't give it back with returns or RMA's.
But wait, there is more. I ordered a fan for my auto AC unit. Instead of a Volvo part which is made out of plastic, I received a metal part, which has and needs a ground wire, has a funny connector, and doesn't work well with my existing mounting hardware. If the company doesn't provide the correct part, how am I to install it? Should I cut the connector off? What if the part doesn't work? Will I be able to RMA a modified part? Shouldn't I have instructions on how to install this "different" part with an extra wire and the improper connector?
Where is my RMA refund?
