"Frankly I was a bit dismayed that I was unable to use a 10% off coupon for my order. I was hoping to receive this consideration from you before finalizing my order as a new customer.

Typically I will use the vendor that provides a premium, all things equal - but this time was rushed.

Would you consider a post order benefit of some kind?

"I ordered 2 parts to finish up my car over the weekend. I had them shipped 2nd day air. I ordered them on Thursday at 4:40 AM, and they shipped them at 4:12 PM. Because of this I won't be able to fix my car until next weekend since the package won't be delivered until Monday.

Thanks FCP Groton for another week without a car.

$21 on shipping is outrageous on on two items that weigh less then 6oz.

I guess I should have paid the $40+ on next day air. I would have thought ordering before they open would be good enough, but I guess it takes 12 hours for them to grab two items from a bin and toss them in a shipping package.

"I have never had a bad experience with FCP. This recent purchase was no different. Kevin the associate assisting me was having problems with his computer and could not pull up the part I was looking for. Kevin took my name and number and stated he would call me back with problem resolved. I just knew I wouldnt here back, but to my surprise he did call me back and placed the order. "I absolutely love everything FCP has done. I have never dealt with a better auto parts seller, by and far. The prices are easily the lowest online. The service is great. I only wish that FCP Groton had more detailed descriptions and more parts for my S60r and 850. If FCP Groton carried the odd parts that I need for my Volvo's, I would never have to shop anywhere else again!"

"If you want to save money while getting excellent customer service than FCP is the place!

I only order OEM replacement parts for my 2000 V70 XC. FCP Groton always delivers what they say and the parts are here in South Florida about three days from my order date.

The savings allow me to order OEM instead of third party parts and helps me keep my car on the road longer. I have a limited budget so I don't have the luxury of purchasing a new car with car payments!

"If there are cheaper Volvo parts to be had, I don't know where! I recently ordered struts from FCP and they arrived on time and cheaper than the competition. My only complaint is that both boxes for the struts were quite beaten up. In fact, one of the struts fell out of the end of its box when I picked it up. There wasn't a whole lot of padding in the shipping box either, and it was a bit beaten up. I can understand the outside box being knocked around in shipping, but the boxes inside should be well enough covered for their boxes to not be damaged. The struts clunked around a lot in the shipping box, even as the delivery driver carried it to my door. I don't know that the strut boxes were dented from lack of packing material; maybe the struts fell off a shelf in the warehouse, who knows? The struts don't LOOK damaged, but if they are, I won't know until they are installed. This is still only a small concern but one the company should definitely address. Because of this, I would definitely think twice about ordering something that could break easily in shipping, and might buy an alternative from another vendor because it will definitely arrive at my door in one piece. That said, I am giving FCP the benefit of the doubt and ordering again and will report back on shipping of the next relevant order (something fragile etc).

Edit-I have to drop one star from my previous review, but that said I probably will order again. The struts turned out to be the wrong ones (perhaps from an earlier car). The damage to the boxes and one being open was probably from another customer returning them. FCP should have noticed that they were the incorrect part and not sent them out to two (or more) customers ordering struts probably for the same vehicle. I also noticed a dent in one of the strut inserts I hadn't noticed before, not bad, but definitely signs of the poor packing. I sent the struts back, having had to buy struts locally at full price from an inferior brand to the Bilsteins, due to their error. My mechanic had one side taken apart when it was realized they weren't the right parts. I may have been without my car for days longer if one store didn't happen to have inserts in stock. I got all my money back for the struts though, and when I sent them back I packed them properly with lots of packing material, hopefully they got the message. Oh, and when I called to return the struts, the staff seemed very apathetic, and both associates I spoke to sounded like teenagers and the whole time I doubted their competence (more due to the not caring about their customer's issue). I think my revised three star rating is generous, I have a couple other places for Volvo parts I would recommend above FCP, despite their lower prices. Service and attention to detail count.

"I have always had great dealings with FCP Groton. I have spent about $2000 on their site over the last 2 1/2 years. I have placed at least 10 different orders over that time period and I only had one mixup with a part and they sent me the right part free of charge no questions asked. Great company and they just dropped their shipping rates. How about that, a company LOWERING prices for a change!!! Always shop here first for my automotive needs. The ship time to Maine is only 2 days too."

"All I can say is WOW!!! I recently ordered a broken timing belt repair kit from FCP Groton along with a complete timing belt kit. I shopped around for quite a while until I found a vendor that could supply me with everything I needed. Their price was almost too good to be true, I was a little suspicious. I received the parts and they are the same parts I have been ordering for years from ECS Tuning and Blau parts but at a much better price. On top of the already great price and free shipping, I found a 12% off coupon. The only thing ECS tuning has on them is shipping speed, ECS offers huge discounts on 2nd day shipping. "

"FCP is the only place I will buy parts from for my Volvo! Have been for years and they are always helpful and offer very competitive pricing. My order was $110 cheaper than any of the local auto parts stores and I feel the quality of the parts is better too. FCP provides fast shipping and my recent order actually shipped for free! I typically order parts online but when I have contacted them by phone the representatives were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. On another note, their catalog is very extensive and provides hard to find parts."
