"I have seen it all in shipping what can happen there is only One
This that ticks me off is 2nd dayair =5 days till you get it.
In Alaska We take it up the @#& every day.

All the people that work for FedEx here in town are very nice and good at
Getting your package to you and I do like them very much they work with
You, I think because it a small town and the employees at FedEx has not

"Terrible experience. I opened a business account with FedEx for business shipping. Upon opening the account, I placed 2 orders for shipping via standard ground. I later discovered that it would take 48 hours to pickup my packages for shipping, because I opened a new acount. However, I could have the packages shipped and picked-up the same day if I chose next day express shipping. Wierd? The really stinky part of this is; FedEx charged my company credit card for the ground shipping upon creating the order, then refused me service for ground for 48 hours. That's bad business."

"Fedex sucks!!!!!! They seem to hire the most stupid drivers who cant remember their way out of a paper bag! Everytime I order something from and use them as my shipper, they return the item to the local shipping location saying.."no appartment number" I live in a house!! I got a postcard with the same address as I gave to Fedex and I called customer support, most times they lie and say one thing and it doesnt come true....UPS is about the same...who has decent delivery nowdays???? NO ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"The number which I provided in the Invoice Number is actually the tracking number for FedEx Rate delivery. In my lifetime I've used FedEx Rate only twice so far and hopefully the last and (Oh, you kidding me?) second time in the row today I had big time the worst service ever! First I paid for in-house delivery of very expensive high-tech furniture to my undisclosed vendor and trust me, I paid HUGE money part of which was in-house delivery. I am talking here about thousands of $$$, not hundreds.
My vendor chose FedEx Rate (wanted to save, huh?) to get the merchandise delivered. Well, those FedEx Rate slackers call me today and ask if I was home to help them unload my furniture. Not a big deal only if I was not paying for in-house delivery as well as I was home too. The problem was that a lot of money really were paid for the in-house delivery which means I do not do the unload work. This is what the money is for: you work real hard to pay others to do their own job too. How about if you came to a restaurant and paid let's just say several hundred for your dinner only to discover that they push you to their kitchen and tell you to cook your meal yourself? And forget about money back or refund of any sort, your money are gone now. You got the picture, right? So this guy calls me at about 8am and asks if I was home to help him unload the truck. I truly was not home and told him that I will come back after 8pm only. Inconvenient but I am still ready to help them if they show up. In the mean time the pre-scheduled and agreed delivery time is between 2pm and 4pm which is when they are supposed to show up and do what they are paid for.
9pm that evening no one shows up. I am calling FedEx Rate and ask them where the heck is my merchandise. A guy named Brandon puts me on hold for good 10-15 minutes only to come back and tell me that I was not home which is why they did not deliver. Great, I already told them some 13 hours ago that I was not going to be home at least until 8 but my wife took a day off specifically for them to deliver at their own convenience. We lost a lot of income just for this particular purpose and they never showed up! I am fuming by now but do not show my irritation just yet. I politely tell Brandon that I was not supposed to be home and even if I were I do not think I should be unloading their truck since I paid them to do their job. No seriously, I am not a jerk, if they showed up at 8 that night I would have helped them but now since they put their ridiculous blame on me – never. They make my family loose significant daily income and pay them huge figure to do their own job just to be treated like dirt – that smells like communism. This looks like mockery and harassment. So he tells me that he did not care because his papers do not say their company was paid for anything just yet. How does this concern me, right? I mean I paid my vendor and if he wants any money for deliver this is between FedEx and my vendor, not me. I am not supposed to deal with this kind of conversation. So I tell him that I am not concerned about their pay, I am concerned about my merchandise to be delivered as agreed, scheduled and paid for only. He tells me that he doesn’t care and since I was not home and they didn’t get paid they were not going to deliver my goods at all. At this point I tell him to do his little job and call my vendor to find out what are the terms of the delivery that they are supposed to know by now and he rudely tells me that there is nothing he needs to be calling my vendor about and therefore he won’t. Long story short I thank him for his missing service and call my vendor. Very nice lady Debora tells me that in fact yes I did pay for in-house delivery thank you very much and I am not supposed to help them do their own job of unloading which is what they are supposed to do themselves anyway. This is what I paid for in first place. She suggests that she will try to find a compromise next morning and call me tomorrow. In the mean time I truly do believe FedEx Rate people and specifically Brandon might do something very unpleasant and damaging to my merchandise while it is still in their custody. Who can protect me and my family now from these crooks and make sure that my purchase does get delivered finally safe and sound? Who can guarantee that I won’t find another unpleasant surprise after it is finally over? I can’t trust FedEx Rate any more. This is the second time I deal with them and the second time I am fuming with anger. Two times is a sign of a pattern, isn’t it? What a tremendous shame on such well known and famous brand name like FedEx that they cannot restraint such insignificant service provider like FedEx Rate. Dear FedEx board of directors, please come back and contact me with at a minimum and at least an official apology for such outrageous behavior and assure that FedEx is not about screwing their customers over. If we cannot trust such giants as FedEx than what will be next?

"Excuses seems to be the common theme here. I'm so irritated with this company right now that I'm actually writing my first ever review on anything. I used to work for an industrial supply company and FedEx continually had problems. UPS only messed up once or twice, but was very quick to fix it. My latest incident included two failed delivery attempts (which is fine, that happens) and a third/final attempt in which a door hanger said they had made their last attempt. Upon receiving the final attempt notice, my husband decided to go to the FedEx store (which happens to be all the way on the other side of Las Vegas) to pick up the package the next day during his lunch hour. When he arrived he was informed that the package was out for delivery. My husband asked if there was a way to have it delivered between a certain time and was told "yes". So he scheduled the delivery between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. I rushed home to sit outside my house for an hour and a half and they never showed. I called FedEx and asked why I couldn't track the package online or by phone and why my Door Tag number wouldn't work. The customer service rep informed me that it was because a delivery attempt had already been made at 1:50pm.
1st: Why did they tell us a delivery could be made between 3:30 and 4:30pm if they decided to deliver it at 1:50pm? (Keep in mind my husband showed up at their office to pick the package up at 12:30 in the afternoon.)
2nd: Why wasn't there a door tag to let us know they had made another attempt?

Sounds like more excuses to me. If you want reliable service from a shipping company, use UPS or even USPS if you have to. I prefer "snail mail" over not getting my mail at all.

"Fed ex used to have great service but it seems over the past 6 months it has steadly declined. In a 3 day shipping ordeal we have been told all sorts of excuses and each one is different from the last. Last fed ex package i recived was 6 days and thats business days to get it. So today is the 4th day on this shipment and when we went to fed ex to pick it up the lady actually said it is here but i dont have to give it to you till next tuesday which is the date it says to deliver it on. Well here i am listening to her admit she has it in the back and zero customers in the building and she says i have to wait 4 more days to get it. Fed ex to me now is as bad as the other guy u*s. Someone needs to start a business that is customer oriented they would wipe out fed ex in a year and the other guys too.UPDATE they delivered it moday instead of tuesday which is day it was supposed to be delivered i guess the girl behind the counter let it be delivered 1 day earlier than it said to be delivered. So i guess there went the cant pick it up today excuse for saturday"

"Their online tracking system is fairly inaccurate compared to UPS. On many occasions, it gives you the false information on where your package is really located and estimate delivery date is either early or late but never on time. On two occasions where their website indicated that I wasn't home to accept the package when in fact I was waiting for them the whole day. Fairly unreliable in my opinion. Unfortunately, I've never came across a merchant that would allow me to select to use them or not."

"Extremely SLOW!!!!!!!!
Use 2nd express. Received item in the morning of the first day, and never had it processed until the next day. Use more than three days to send the item! I guess "2nd Day Express" means they never process your case until the 2nd day!

"I have been using FedEx for years. Over time, I realized that the company's reliability is poor. They are very inconsistent in delivering packages on time. I have had the similar experience from the previous reviewer several times. Here are some examples of what I have heard from them: 1. Package lost... Trace in progress 2. Package placed on wrong truck: Scheduled for delivery on tomorrow. 3. Business closed or customer unavailable. I have had lots of headaches lately, and it hasn't always been that way. Before, packages would arrive earlier than expected and at a certain time of day. I once purchased a guitar effects unit and went through hell just to get it. The first day, the package was on the wrong truck. Ok, these things can happen. The next day, the package was with the driver, but the driver never made it to my house. I had enough, so I called and requested that they hold it at the station for me. My last package was a pain also. FedEx tells me that drivers are supposed to deliver packages by a certain time. So, when 8:00p.m. came around, I became so confident that the driver was not going to come... Then, surprisingly on the FedEx tracking, it said “Customer not available or business closed". This wasn’t possible since I was waiting home the entire day and I never received a door tag. For most packages that are very valuable to me, I request that they be held at the station. Also, customer service is poor. Every time you call, they tell you something different. In my last package, I called them and they told me it required no signature confirmation. I called the second time and they said it did. I asked them where the station was so that I could pick it up. They told me that this information could not be given to me and that the station would call me telling me this information. Then I called again, and they told me exactly where it was. My suggestion to you is: Call several times asking the same questions until you get the right answer. I can honestly say that I get about 60% good service from FedEx now. They have steadily declined in performance over the years. Even though UPS costs more, I try to use them more often since they are more consistent and reliable… even if a little slower. I haven’t used DHL and Airborne Express many times, but when I used them, they were very good. If any of you reading share similar experiences with FedEx, please write a review so that our complaints can have a positive effect on one of the biggest shipping companies in the world!"

"FedEx has to be the worst shipping service I have evere seen. I was supposed to receive my package on March 1 so I took the day off work to be there since it was a very expensive item being delievered. No one showed all day then at 7:05 that evening the web site was updated to say that no one was home to accept the package or that the business was closed. There was no tag on my door and there was no FEDEX truck in my drive way. The driver did not even try to deliever the package. Called their help line and the only thing they would do was say they were sorry and that the package would be delieved tomorrow. "
