"For nearly a year I have dropped off packages at the One Penn Plaza - New York location multiple times per week. I am not greeted.* When I ask where to best leave an envelope, I receive a mostly non-verbal response that I am a nuisance, not a customer. Twice (that I have had occasion to notice) the door inside the building is closed early for no apparent reason, and as I realize this (by pulling on a locked door) I am either utterly ignored or ignored and then given an exasperated wave of the arm to exit the building entirely with my shipment and enter through the outside door.
It would take but a moment to come to the door and explain what is going on, or at least shrug and mouth "I'm sorry, we closed early" or better yet, open the door, take my ready to mail envelope, and then re-lock the door if closing earlier than the hours posted on the door is necessary. Again, proof that customers are not viewed as paying clients (and in our case, a high volume one at that) but as annoyances.
No one expects a high end experience with FedEx or saccharine salutations. I leave this location absolutely baffled by the lack of any semblance of an exchange having occurred, no matter how simple the transaction. Even the occasional nonchalant hand gesture (without a verbal response) is appreciated when it happens.
I will continue to encourage my company to switch back to using a competitor, where onsite employees were never rude, irate, or so obviously ready to lose customers for their employer as is the case at the One Penn Plaza FedEx location.
FedEx may provider cheaper services, and its likely they afford to do so by poorly training and paying their employees.
*There is one male employee who is cordial – all others give the impression that they are working in a backroom where customers are not allowed to enter.

" The FedEx store told my daughter to send a package to a business via home delivery. This was on Friday for a Saturday delivery and the driver never even tried to deliver it because it was to a business. The next problem is that since they did not deliver it on Saturday as paid for they were not able to deliver it until Tuesday because home delivery is not open on Monday!
So a package from San Diego to Anaheim, 100 miles, took from Friday until Tuesday to get to me.
On top of all this, they make you jump through over 1 hour on the phone to even try to get a refund. Now this is great service."

"FedEx is the worst company I ever had to deal with. On the 11 of this month I received a gift card from Direct TV, on the 12 of December I went online and requested the package to be held at the FedEx location in Woodland Hills. December 16 the status of the package showed it was rerouting from the Sun Valley location to the woodland Hills. Since December 17 I have called every day to follow up on the status of the gift card since it was never delivered. Every day I would have to explain my problems get transferred to a different department and get promised that someone will call me back regarding the package. Finally after calling for 7 days they said to tell direct TV to file a claim. When I called Direct TV they said that I have to wait 30 day unless FedEx update there system and off course when I call FedEx they take me in circles telling me that they added the note in the system. Its Christmas and I was relying on his gift card to get some Christmas shopping. I hate FedEx and will never used them again in my life."
"I was expected to get a package on Monday after paying for it to ship within 3-5 days, now it's day 8 and in ally the tracking appers an it's because they decided to drop it off at usps. What a joke, and watch it come broken since I was told by usps that it's on a bulk pallet on the bottom, no wonder I never used fed ex because they can't even deliver there own packages"
"I was supposed to receive some wine shipped by Zachys using Fed Ex. Fed Ex did horrible. I would never use Fed Ex again. First time I tried to call and tell them we would not be home when they tried to deliver next time the two people I talked to did not have good English language skills, so communication was difficult. I went on the web and delayed the delivery, but for some reason it did not take and they tried to deliver anyway. I talked to someone and they promised to delay delivery to a day we would be there, but they did not do what they said. They tried to deliver anyway. I got an email complaining about us not being there to sign, even though that is what I had told them, and it said they would deliver the next day. I waited around all day and they did not come. They then said I used up the 3 tries and I would have to drive 31 miles each way to pick it up. If Fed Ex communicated between the drivers and the people who I could talk to on the phone it never would have happened. "
"I am currently trying to locate not one but two packages that have been "delivered" to my address. The delivery person stated the items were left at the front door, but I'm wondering what front door did he/she leave my package? Because it definitely wasn't on the front door of my house. This happened twice in one week! I never received any notification saying my package had been sent (yes I even checked my spam mail) nor any delivery confirmation. I had to physically call the company to find out my package was "delivered" both times! In which there were no packages at my house. I filed one claim with FedEx for the first package and I doubt anyone will call with an update on the status, so I'll be calling them soon. I have waited weeks for this item just to find now I'm going to have to wait even longer because the device is back on back order. I am livid!!! I live in a pretty quiet typical suburban neighborhood where people don't walk in others yards and take packages. My family and I have lived there for 7 years now, and no package (not 1) has been stolen from our house. So I find it ironic that two packages delivered two different days containing the same content comes up missing? Unless someone is sitting outside of my house waiting for packages to be delivered to my front door step so they can take them (which I highly doubt) the FedEx driver is either taking my package and keeping it or delivering it elsewhere, either or something needs to be done. Horrible service, unfortunately the company only uses FedEx so I'm stuck hoping I will eventually receive my order .... I wish I could give them no stars..."
"The worst courier company I have dealt with. I ordered something from ebay to Noida. For 5 days it is there in the office and syill not delivered. I am chasing the courier guys daily but nothing happening from their end."
"FedEx is so terrible. My order came in 4 packages with a couple being over 100 lbs. They showed up to deliver and the driver would not help my wife unload the heavy packages. He just watched the whole time. When I called the customer service stated that they are only responsible to back up to your door. What a joke!"
"They lost my suitcase and never bothered to find it.They ask for the same information 500 times and never get back to you on anything.They open wrong case ids and wrong case ids on wrong tracking numbers.Each time you call you will be rerouted to 10 different departments which lack any co ordination amongst each other.They don't even make note of any information that is provided during a call.Its been a month since i have been following up on my issue.This is the WORST service ever..Never use Fedex if you value your package!!"
"Worst service. Lost my package that was overnighted for delivery before 10 AM. Their own website reported package was in Nashville this AM and then within an hour, it appeared in Indianapolis. This is when it is still showing as "due to be delivered" by 10:30 AM. I stand to loose money because of blunder by then. Completely unapologetic and non helpful service. Useless overnight. Will never use and highly recommend people not to use them."
"Why Use Fedex when you have UPS and USPS? I dont know, but when I order an item and the seller used fedex, the tracking is off? Example its says estimate delivery Friday, It comes on a wed-Thursday in that time period. Yea i know. Fix it. Fedex sucks, Just go UPS or USPS. "
