"This is a Jan. 3rd 2013 UPDATE to my original review: Last month, a rep from Fitness Blowout gave me a call. He was concerned about my less than stellar initial review. We talked about all of my concerns and some of the legal but borderline unethical business practices they were using regarding the Lifetime Warranty promise, etc. (which I won't go into right now.) They were very good about changing some of the restrictions listed on their website about the Lifetime Warranty and seemed to really care about changing their business practices to make the customer come first, before the all-important sale and the all-mighty dollar. However, PLEASE, read their policies page to make sure you understand all of the stipulations and what you are responsible for in any sales transaction. Given that they have made a genuine effort to rectify their wrongs, I will be raising my Star Rating in a month or so, once I see that no more complaints regarding my original concerns are posted. My original review is below:

I purchased a FreeMotion SmartRun 2.0 Treadmill from Fitness Blowout a few months ago. It arrived with a broken part and during assembly another part broke. I couldn't assemble it because one of the broken parts would not come off the body frame to be replaced. After three hours of frustration, not the 1 hour they tell you (and it takes 2 people, BTW,) I tried contacting customer service tech support, which was just about impossible. When you called in there was a message that there was heavy call volume and you would be cut off.
I had to go straight to FreeMotion themselves. They were very helpful, and scheduled a home service appt. for free. The tech guy came out and put it together, explained calibration to me, and finally I had a treadmill that worked. So far it has worked well, though its construction is not as rock-solid as I had hoped. There are many reviews attesting to the broken parts upon delivery, and the shoddy workmanship. Assembly is next to impossible unless you do this for a living. Fitness Blowout were not that helpful either. I think they are more interested in selling, than customer care. But hey, that's capitalism for you."

"After reading about the LifeSpan TR1200-DT treadmill desk in SmartMoney magazine, I did a search for vendors and found that Fitness Blowout had the best price by far.

I called Fitness Blowout's 800-number and the sales associate gave me an even better price than I'd found on their website. They also gave me free delivery and premium setup, which was a bonus I wasn't expecting.

The person who handled the delivery was very careful and respectful when bringing the unit into my house. He also made sure that the desk was adjusted to the correct height and that there were no issues with the treadmill's operation before clearing and carting away the boxes and packing materials.

I use my treadmill for about 10 hours per week, on average, and couldn't be happier with its performance."

"Bought the Freemotion 750 Tredmill from SuperGym Fitness Warehouse and it has been the best piece of equiptment I have ever owned. The machine is large and built like a commerical tredmill, and it can hold my weight(300) with no problem. This will be great for the cold winters here in the east when I cannot get out for a good walk, and is great for the 100+ summer days when it's too hot to go out. Just the ticket for seniors. "

"I have not taken the elliptical out of the box yet. Need to do this in parts due to the weight. I ordered the equipment May 25 and did not receive it until July! This only occurred after about 10 phone calls. I liked the website and ordering... it was a breeze but the lack of delivery or return calls was frustrating. I had read how helpful the customer service had been and unfortunatly was disaapointed. I am hoping the equipment will make up for these events."

"We have been using the Treadmill Desk for approximately one month and believe that it provides the best opportunity to incorporate motion into a sedentary job.
A couple of key points:
1. Communication during the order process was excellent.
2. The delivery of the product was sluggish. However, the customer support at Fitness Blowout was responsive and our order was delivered satisfactorily.
3. The set up of the Treadmill Desk was easy!
4. We are extremely pleased with the product.
5. The Treadmill Desk does not replace the need for regular exercise. I can read, work at the computer, and watch a video while walking. After one month of use I am able to complete this survey while walking 2.5 miles per hour. Not bad for a 60 something woman.
