"We ordered a Precor treadmill from Fitness Blowout and it was damaged during delivery. It has now been over 2 months in trying to get the replacement parts. We have sent pictures of damaged pieces and told by multiple customer service reps that they will send them, and then never hear back from anyone. I would never have ordered from them had I known their warrantee was completely worthless. DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIFETIME WARRANTEE!!!!! I don't even trust them to return it and get my money back. I wish I had done more research before buying from them."
"I searched the web for several hours looking for a reputable online and/or major retailer for a LIfecore LC Ultra Compact 850-RBS Recumbent.
The best price I found was $999. That was until I I located FitnessBlowout.com. They have been in business 26 years and acted like it. Their price was $100 less or $899. That included no tax and free shipping!
My sales rep. James, was very professional exceeding my expectations at all levels. The CEO even thanked me for my business! I would certainly recommend FitnessBlowout.com to my family and friends."
"I have used Fitness Blowout to set up a Free Weight Room in my Community Center. Nick was extremely helpful in helping me make decisions on the right equipment for my room. He also followed up, making sure I received everything I ordered. I have had many compliments on our weight room and can't wait to expand."
"stay clear of this company.my decision to cancel will cost me over 800.00 dollars in shipping and restocking fees.i order the product at 5:58pm eastern time.called early the next day to cancel.found out they r on pacific time .called as soon as they opened and was told i would have to pay over 800 dollars in fees since the order was made the day before.i had to cancel the same day i ordered in order to avoid shipping and restocking fees.they claim the send the products out immediately.yet ppl complain that it takes weeks to get the products.they than blame it on a third party..this company is SHADY.never in my life did i ever not have the option to cancel an order.nordic tracks site charges 150 to ship but will pay return shipping if u r not happy with your product.fitnessblowout has their own credit company.so it is a win, win for them.they will get ur money any way they can.i suggest u deal with a more reputal company not one that points fingers and claims to be trying to fix their reputation.i am going to be ripped off for over 800 dollars in fees.think about that.fees and nothing to show for that 800 dollars.plus a 29% interest fee on top of the 800 if i am late or don't pay the 800 dollar charge on their credit card.SHADY < SHADY < SHADY as for their rebuttal.i was walked thru that site and not given time to read any thing.i was told to check some boxes.stupid me !!!!!!yes i am guilty of being stupid and trusting of the nice guy on the phone.u can not order anything with out calling and talking to the nice guy b/c they have no prices displayed.i will never order from any site that i never heard of again..i learned my lesson.hope everyone heeds my warning.ro rogers"
"IF I WERE YOU I WOULD NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE. From my experience the site is misleading and so are the sales people - WATCH OUT!
I ordered a $3750 Precor Crosstrainer Elliptical from fitnessblowout in Jan. Brad Keys told me the certified remanufactured Precor 576i would be just like new - "all parts inside the motor are replaced with Precor only parts" He told me they had 3 left on the floor so order quick. So I paid in full cash almost $4k. Weeks later I still did not have machine. After calling in several times I learned they don't stock machines so there were no 4 left. Brad then told me the machine was coming straight from Precor. And he promised it would be a 2010 model. I thought great! At least they will ensure its working great as they build them.
Couple weeks later THE WRONG MACHINE was sent. They sent some old piece of crap 7 or 8 year old Precor. And it was badily damaged from long use (I have pictures to prove). I refused delivery. Then the nightmare really started. All the way to Jim the President. And he acted like they were doing me a "favor" to "absorb" costs shipping back. What? It wasn't my fault it was the wrong machine and even worse in terrible shape! It took weeks for them to send the Precor I ordered...
When I finally got my almost 4 thousand dollar Precor the heart rate monitor did not work. When I called in they actually tried to tell me its due to my wireless network. Do you believe that BS. Also in my opinion the resistence wasn't good compared to the exact one I use at the gym. After lots of fighting as they wanted me to take apart machine, etc. they sent a guy out that didn't know how to pronoun "Precor" and admitted he had never worked on my model and needed to go home and study the specs download. Fine he still said HR monitor did not work.
No since I need a new HR monitor card the Customer Service Director Martin is saying I have to send in card first then wait for his remanufacturer to send it back to me even though their warranty says a part will be sent to you and then you send back. There entire mantra now is "the remanufacturer calls the shots as we are a middle man - we are not responsiable for customer service as they..." Blah blah blah. They act like there did not sell it to me now someone else did. Which is redicilous. I bought it from their site through their sales. I was lied to from the beginning about how the machine was remanufactured (by the way they changed wording on site next to Precor 5761 to refrbished now - but I have screenshot when I bought it). They lied were machine was shipped from. They sent wrong machine first. They STILL have not sent new part to fix a nearly 4 thousand dollar machine I have here that doesn't work correctly. You HAVE to have HR monitoring to stay in zone and make sure HR doesn't get to dangerous levels. And some of the programs on the machine that change resistence and incline automatically per HR results do not work at all. So the machine I have from fitnessblowout.com is worth I guess 50% of what I paid for it - maybe.
There BBB rating is a B. Not an A like the site said.
IN my opinion I WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO buy your exercise equipment.
My issue went all the way to the President and still did not get fixed per warranty. And they try to say I signed something saying it was a special purchase... and that is why they don't have to live up to warranty THAT WAS WRITTEN RIGHT NEXT TO PRODUCT I BOUGHT?!?! Talking out both sides of their mouth.
STAY FAR AWAY. I might have just saved you thousands and months of complaining on the phone to make things right based on their own promises --- all based on sharing my personal dealing with fitnessblowout.com
=====================================
In response to President Jim's 4/27/2011 feedback below:
Everything Jim wrote was a PR ad for their company and not addressing my issue other than his ridiculous comparison of my almost $4k machine comparing it to a $200 playstation or wii - acting like a customer should expect the same level of support for something that cost 20 TIMES as much as his example.
This is fitness blow out exact wording from their warranty that came with and was posted right next to the product description that came with my machine:
(copied/pasted): "For all parts covered under lifetime warranty, customer will be shipped replacement part(s) and is required to return the defective part within 14 days. If part is not returned within 14 days, customer will be charged the cost of the part plus shipping."
So they ARE NOT working with us and living up to their own warranty!
FitnessBlowOut warranty which came with machine - in fact was right next to the product I bought online. I have demanded they replace the heart rate monitor as the tech they finally sent verified as broken. Martin the Asst. Director of Customer Service refuses to send part first so tech can have it, replace part professionally, and then send back defective HR circuit board. Martin insist that now FitnessBlowOut.com is not responsible for sending out parts first then replace - then send back. He even claims I signed something saying my order was a special order so it doesn't apply to warranty. LIE!!!! I signed nothing and I dare them to produce a contract that I signed saying the machine I ordered is void warranty! The warranty was right next to product ordered. Their was nothing saying my machine was a special order on the site next to or anywhere on the webpage I bought the machine. And NO ONE ever said anything about my machine being a special order void any warranty UNTIL I needed help. And I spoke to Sales, Jim the President, the VP of Sales Steve, Martin Asst Dir of Customer service ALL BEFORE THEY SENT CORRECT machine - AND NONE OF THEM EVER said "your machine is a special order so we won't live up to our warranty." And they cannot say this issue is outside the timeline as I reported the issue since day one - they have just delayed, ignored, and done nothing to fix as promised.
Per Martin's claim that my machine is some kind of "special order" and therefore doesn't meet warranty:
1) I signed NOTHING at all ever on this order - only gave credit card number to sales rep. I signed nothing saying this is some kind of "special order" - they said NOTHING at sales over the phone it was a special order. In fact Brad Keys lied to me and said they had only 4 machine left on the floor and to order soon. And he promised me the machine would be a 2010 model - and just like new with all the parts they replace.
2) Their own website, from which I bought the machine says nothing about this machine being a special order. I screen shotted the webpage (below) that I bought the machine from. It has lifetime warranty with free upgrade written all over it and RIGHT NEXT TO MACHINE PURCHASED - BUT NOTHING SAYING this machine is exempt. Now they changed their website to say "refurbished" next to my machine. But I have the proof when I bought it it said "certified remanufactured" (attached screen shot of product online when I ordered it).
Martin (asst dir of customer service) is now saying I am not their customer but one of the remanufacturer. That is ridiculous. I ordered from them and paid them - fitnessblowout.com. I am THEIR customer. The listing for the machine says NOTHING about it being sent from anywhere other than them - as as them as only a middle man. I was PROMISED on the phone at time of sales that all parts inside the machine would be NEW PRECOR only parts. Brad Keys told me first it was being sent from their "floor" as "they only had 4 left in house." Then weeks later after the machine still had not arrived he said, no, no, the machine is actually coming directly from the manufacturer Percor. "But be excited as they are the ones that make the machine so everything will be just like new - all new Precor parts" - per Brad Keyes. Well then they sent the wrong machine and I rejected delivery. It took weeks for them to send the correct model after talking to Steve Barzilai the VP. Steve the VP of sales told me that - before he PROMISED me if ANYTHING was wrong with machine he would PERSONALLY make it right. Well none of that has happened. This has been a 4 month NIGHTMARE.
They need to send out tech (that knows what he is doing) with NEW Heart Rate Monitor circuit board card to replace. Then tech sends back old circuit card to company - as warranty clearly states. I am not having them take out critical parts and HOPE they do the right thing by sending back new parts with a tech to install - why would I trust them all they have done is lie so far.
The machines functions DO NOT WORK WITHOUT THE HR WORKING. I have a machine I paid almost $4K for and have had issues since day one. I have a broken machine that Fitness Blow Out just keeps making excuses or not abiding by their own warranty to make sure its fixed or returned.
When I first complained of the HR monitor not working they actually tried to tell me (Martin said this) that the HR is working due to my home internet network. Ha. What lies in my opinion do they tell. I informed them that the 576i (the EXACT model I have in my house from FitnessBlowOut.com) works prefect with Wifi, G3, G4 all bombarding the gym everyday. Everyone has a smartphone and the gym has free wifi - so my internet here could not be to blame. But I wonder how many customers actually believed that line in the past.(?). He then said that is what is vendor tells him to tell people. My wife has a $400 treadmill that reads her HR just fine but my $4k machine somehow is supposed to be acceptable to not have all the HR functions and programs working. Ridiculous. The HR monitor has to work in order to use the machine correctly. I did not want a broken machine - I bought a "certified remanufactured" machine and was PROMISED that all parts are replaced with ONLY NEW PRECOR parts at time of certified remanufacturing. If the HR doesn't work the user doesn't know if he is exercising in the correct HR zone - or even if he is in a dangerous HR zone (way too high). Also the HR function HAS to work in order for a couple of the automatic programs that adjust the machine resistance and incline.
Since they will not send new part as promised per warranty I have asked for a refund per warranty: (this is copied pasted into this window)
"Our Guarantee
If you don't feel it is the VERY BEST fitness equipment you have ever experienced in your entire life, including the most expensive equipment in the Health Clubs selling for up to $6,000 per machine, or if you don't feel you received the most incredible bargain on your new equipment, or most importantly, if you do not stand in front of the mirror or step on the scale and see dramatic improvements in the way that you look and feel, then please call us toll free on our 1-800-FIT-4-LESS hotline and we will be happy to issue a 100% refund of the purchase price of equipment less shipping costs. That's how confident we are in the quality of our Fitness Equipment and that it will exceed your expectations."
These problems happened as soon as I received the incorrect machine and have NEVER ended - not even when after fighting them for WEEKS - and receiving the correct broken model. So they cannot say I did not report this in some time frame. It has not been right since day one.
They refuse to abide by their warranty and I insist now they come get the broken piece of crap machine."
"SCAM SCAM SCAM COMPANY Stay Away
Ordered a FreeMotion USA iFit StretchDeck - Google® Maps & Wifi Ready Fold-Away on 4-8-2011. After placing the order I began a search for the best price online in hope of challenging their price guarantee. As luck had it I did find a better price and called and spoke to a Fitness Blowout sales person (Israel) who informed me that he would match the price for the same I found online however once I informed him that I already ordered the equipment he became agitated and refused to reduce the price and referred me to my original salesperson, Steve B., which I later found to be the Vice President of Sales.
I became nervous about my order and immediately called Steve B. and left a message to call me immediately as I wanted to cancel the order I placed 3 hours earlier. Steve called me back within the hour and explained that the treadmill I found on line was not the same as the treadmill I ordered. The equipment I was comparing to my order was the FreeMotion XTR which appeared to be identical in the picture and was offered for $200 less. Steve explained that the treadmill I ordered was different. He stated the Freemotion treadmill I ordered is specifically built for Fitness Blowout with a beefed up motor and frame to handle 400 lb user weight capacity verses the 350 lb weight capacity others offer. He stated the sales person (Israel) who spoke to me earlier was mistaken about the equipment be the same. Based upon Steve’s explanation about the beefed up frame and motor as well as reducing the price of the treadmill $100 I did not cancel my order.
I will update this review once I receive the treadmill to see if it truly different as Steve explained.
June 2, 2011
I have yet received the equipment I ordered as it was discontinued. Steve (VP of Sales) promised a full refund on April 29 but still have not refunded my money or returned my calls or e-mail.
The only way I will ever get my refund is by filing a dispute with my credit card company. Terrible company with many many many complaints register with the BBB, attorney general and many complaint websites. Don't believe anything they say! They only want to take your money! "
"Do not waste your time, after 3 months I am finally done with the transaction. If you have a lot of patience and time on your hands and like poor information and if you have heard of bait and switch and do not mind being ignored and like calling, emailing numerous time then this is your company. I do not know how they have stayed in business for 24 years. Amazing. Orderd one item and got an up grade to a lower quality product. You figure it out. If you do decide to order from them good luck."
"I will never "ever" order from this place again!!! My order was placed 3 weeks ago and was told that my shipment would arive no later than 03/29/11. Called the company to ask where's my order? Since today is 03/30/11. Turns out my order was barely "shipped" out "03/29/11"!!! HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE"
"The purchase of our new Freemotion Incline trainer was an interesting experience and sometimes trying. At the end, Steve Barzilai, VP of Sales stepped in to save the day. The unit finally arrived on March 25 and it is exactly the machine we wanted."
"I purchased a Life Fitness CT9500 Elliptical with a lifetime extended warranty which I was told by my salesman, Max Hany, included parts and service. I specifically asked about in home service because the machines are huge. He stated that service was covered in the warranty, but when I called for service 10 months later, I was told that my machine only had a 90 day parts and service warranty. Lifetime was parts only. I was referred to a service company and quoted $200.00 for the repair. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCT AND FURTHERMORE THEIR SALESMEN LIE. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!"
"I placed an order for a treadmill with Fitness Blowout back in January and after not receiving it for several weeks I started to worry. I read several negative comments online and started to worry that my treadmill was never coming. I later found out that the problem with my order was the manufacturer's inability to deliver the product and had nothing to do with Fitness Blowout.
When I attempted to cancel my order, I immediately got a call from Steve Barzilai, the Vice President of Sales, to see if there was anything he could do to correct my negative experience up to that point. Not only did Steve offer me a great deal on a better (commercial quality) machine, but he monitored the order all the way through the process (providing very helpful feedback along the way), offered me a free service package on my machine to compensate me for my troubles, and expedited my order (it arrived in about 10 days).
Steve certainly saved the day! While I was nervous about spending a substantial amount of money online, I would order from them again and I would also refer family and friends to them as well.
Order from them with confidence!!

"Fitness Blowout is one of the best companies I have ever done business with on aqn on-line basis. Nick their salesman was knowledgeable, patient, friendly and courteous. I wanted to buy a new treadmill and I was comparing it to a Nordictrack my son had bought and I had tested out. Nick explained the differences in the machines and gave me the information I asked for. Having a machine made in the USA was huge to me and the fact that it was the better quality machine made my decision."
"Ok, after reading all of the reviews, I'm very skeptical about my purchase from FitnessBlowout.com. So far, it's been a good experience. I have not received my treadmill yet, nor have I received email from the shipper as to when to expect it. That's ok, because I only ordered it on March 9th. I'm waiting anxiously to see how the whole process moves forward and I'll post updates as we move along.
So far, here's were I am. I ordered from Max Hany on 3/9/11. I was ordering a demo model treadmill and Max was great to deal with. After the order was placed, Max called me back to inform me that the demo had sold the night before and offered me a comparable model - Freemotion USA IFit StretchDeck Google Maps and Wifi Ready Fold-Away. Max was very helpful and we did have issues with my credit card numbers being transposed, so Max and I spoke a number of times that day. Each time, I called his direct line and he picked right up. Each time he was pleasant and helpful. I rec'd email confirmations right away. I was given the expectation of 15 business day delivery.
On 3/15 I called back and spoke with customer service as I wasn't quite sure of the next steps. I spoke with a female (don't remember her name - Nancy perhaps?) who was also pleasant and said that I would receive and email from the shipper 2 days before delivery to schedule. We're well within the 15 business day timeframe, so we'll see what happens.
So far, no issues. But again, after reading other reviews I do have to admit that I'm very scared. Of course, my credit card has already been charged, which makes me even more nervous. I'll let you know!
Update 3/29. Today it's 14 days since I ordered my treadmill. No email from any shipper yet. I'm guessing that I won't receive my treadmill within the 15 day timeframe as promised. Sent an email via the website. Tried calling, but hold was long, so I hung up.
Update 3/31. Today it's 16 business days since I ordered. I received an email just a few minutes ago from Sandy Martinez stating that my treadmill has been shipped, along with the tracking number from UPS. Called UPS and scheduled the delivery for next week. If this sticks, it will be 20 days from order to delivery.
Update 4/8. I received my treadmill as planned on 4/6 from UPS. So, it was 20 days from purchase to delivery with no snags or issues. The treadmill itself is gorgeous. I've used it both days and I love it so far. It's very heavy (319 lbs) and appears to be very well made. It stands up to my running and doesn't move or feel cheesy at all. It was also very easy to put together - took my husband and myself about 20 minutes tops - so save your money and do it yourself. I'm very happy with it.
So, my final scoring is 4 out of 5 stars, with that being because I don't like the fact that I had to pay for the machine way before I received it. Especially when you're making such a large purchase. It's scary to have paid over $1000 for something and not have it in hand or very close to that. Many other retailers don't bill until the item is shipped. If Fitness Blowout did this, I'd change my rating to 5 stars."
"Never have I experienced such expert customer service! The knowledge of product(s), the effort to "fit" my needs, the no pressure sales pitch, the unbelievable warranty(s)as well as the service persons 'I have all the time in the world' attitude, sums up to one FANTASTIC experience with FitnessBlowout. Add to this the fact that their products are Made in the USA sweetened the entire transaction. They have a customer for life!"
"Thanks to Augutine Pizano, Director of Customer Service, all issues and concerns were settled in a satisfactory manner. He's a great asset to the company. "
