Five Four Has Gone Downhill

"The company used to offer good quality clothing for a reasonable price (this was before you needed to be a member and a few years back when they were small). When I saw a promo for the Five Four Club I decided I'd try them out because I still have some of their old shirts, which have lasted years at this point without fading or falling apart.

This is not the same company anymore. Everything I received was made in China and had an eBay like quality to the shirts. I used the 300 promo which, supposedly gives you $300 worth of items. The problem is that since the company sets the prices, they can deem what $300 is worth. Suffice it to say, I got 3 shirts, a button down and a jacket (plus some of the cheapest looking sunglasses ever) for $60. That's the only reason they get 2 stars, I basically paid $10 per piece, which is probably the actual value. The customer service is actually really good, they cancelled my subscription immediately and even answered my questions as to why their quality had gone down so much (they've switched manufacturers over the years).

Overall, don't bother.

Complete Rip Off

"The website shows stylish outfits but all you get is the cheap undershirt.. When you log on to cancel there is no option. You have to dig through their site index just to find how to contact them and then their customer service doesn't answer. Stay FAR AWAY from this company.. It's a ripoff."

The worst costumer service experience of my life!!!

"I decided to try this website for my husband who hates to shop. I thought the promo of $30 instead of $60 for first 2 months subscriptions was good. I put in my promo code, it showed it was taken off, but I was charged $60 anyway. Didn't think much of it just thought maybe they charge for both months upfront, but then I was charged $60 again the second month. I called asking for a refund and was told they couldn't do that. Then I said well can you send me an extra shipment to make up the difference I was overcharged. Again, no. They offered me no option where I didn't have to spend more money. I was polite, calm and understanding to my phone operator who kept putting me on hold to speak with a supervisor, but eventually I just said cancel me and know that I am very unhappy and this business will never survive with customer service like and she hung up on me??!! Wow! Seriously this has been my worst customer service experience ever and I also feel basically like they stole $60 from me and refused to give it back. Having said that the items I received were not great and the sizes ran big. "

Five Four is a Joke!!!

"Horrible quality. Horrible customer service. I was unhappy with the quality and the inconsistency of the delivery time, so I cancelled. I decided to give them another chance and rejoined. To my surprise, the company has declined in both categories. The clothing is horrible and I still haven't received my last package that was supposed to ship over 2 weeks ago. The company is a JOKE! Don't do it. "

"If I could give 0 stars I wouldn't hesitate to do so. Paid for a package and was charged on November 15th and it is now the 14th of December and I still haven't recieved anything. This company is a complete rip off and I HIGHLY advise using another services like trendybutler.com, fashionstork.com, trunkclub.com or anything. They are completely unprofessional on chat and never answer their phones. Spoke to the "Chat Manager" Dee. how terrible. Apparently they sent my package back to their headquarters because some idiot decided not to put my apartment on the shipping label. I'm fed up and asked for my money back and get a response from Dee the Manager that says "Good luck with that". I will be report them to the BBB and warning anyone I can about this company and its unprofessionalism and for taking my money and not providing any product or service in return.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY!!!

"I just recently started my subscription service with Five Four Club as of August 28th, 2015. I used the promo code "Bonus" that was up at the time and with that code they send you a bonus item. I must have misunderstood the code because I thought that they sent an additional package worth $60.00 with your order..I was very wrong but no biggie..My package came in yesterday (9-4-15). I received 3 tops. One of which was the "Bonus" item.. It was a short sleeve shirt known as Eureka. (fashion tee). The color of this shirt is navy. The second is a pullover from their Knits and sweaters collection. On the invoice its called Conant. and the color is black. Pretty much its like a hoodie but made with a thin fabric..and the Third shirt is from their button down collection..Its called Waverly and its blue..Kinda like a light blue and it has kitted patterns on it.. So far I am happy with the items. I have spoken with various customer service people via chat on their site and they were all friendly and helpful.. I asked them when I will receive jeans and they said probably in my next two orders. And since I had seen videos on YouTube and other review sites and some of the review including on here doesn't seem positive for Five Four when it comes to style,size,colors..etc..I had e-mailed them questions about certain colors and styles I like and don't and they told me its all about how you pick your style in the beginning when you start your account..Since I chose stylish and casual and my colors are dark and muted..I don't have to have shock and awe when I get a package and see items are how I selected. If you select mix..your basically saying that you are open to whatever they send regardless of color or style pattern..So its all about what you choose.. Since I am letting people that are way in California choose my clothes instead of taking my own self to the mall and buying clothes I am most certainly not going to get on here and complain. I mean everyone has their own opinion I guess but at the end of the day its like this..You are NOT obligated to this service so you are able to cancel as long as its before the 15th of the month and if you call them also keep in mind they are in California therefore you have to call them on Pacific time..The reason I have highlighted 4 stars instead of 5 total is because I just started my subscription with them. If things go a different direction that isn't that good I would call them and either see if a bad thing can be fixed or cancel..All it takes is carefully review their website and FAQs and even ask questions to the customer service reps that are on the website. Also I would suggest getting items that are 1 size bigger than what you usually buy just in case any kind of shrinkage happens when you wash your items..But also too again read the FAQ.. Items must be in the same way they sent to you in order for you to get a "Size Exchange" Not a style exchange..Pretty self explanatory once you read things that you really should look at before subscribing and even ask questions with customer service..But anyway this is my First order and review for Five Four Club and I am happy with what I have from them so far..Hope this review is helpful before deciding to subscribe..I'll be back to review more items from them once I receive them. "

"I have been using Five Four since about October or November of 2014. It only lasted this long because in the months of March, April, and May I forgot to call and cancel before the 10th of the month. That’s the cutoff for being charged for the month. I have received 9 packages, 18 items in total. I can say I have liked 5 items and actually worn 3. 2 items in particular I absolutely loved. The quality is good but no matter how I changed my style preference I still received items I didn’t like. The pants are long and if you need them shorter they should be hemmed. I received 2 or 3 pair of pants/jeans and I don’t like them at all. They seem thin and cheap to me, all of the shirts appear to have good quality though. One thing I don’t like is how you cannot return or exchange for a different item, only size. I have so many of their items which will not get use and may either be donated or sent to the consignment shop."

"The five four return policy is very strict, just be forewarned. I had a shirt that shrunk in the sleeves and length, even after following the correct washing and drying instructions, and they would not return or exchange it because it had already been worn and washed. Well how are you supposed to know a shirt is going to shrink before you wash it? I did not think their customer service was very good in this regard. I will not be signing up again. It's unfortunate because everything else I received was satisfactory, and did not shrink.

Hi Matt,

As stated on our FAQ exchanges can only be made for items that are in unworn condition with the original tags, so the washed item would fit neither of those categories.

"after nine month -utterly disappointed... most items do not fit properly and trying to contact anyone at Five Four is impossible, the website emails and return address do not work. Lousy costumer service!"
