"I had the same experience as a previous reviewer. I ordered a flash from Focus Camera through Amazon at a lower than normal price. Several days later, I got an email stating my order had been canceled due to the flash being out of stock. I called and spoke with Nicki, who assured me that the flash is in stock. I asked her why my order would have been canceled if the item is there. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on me. I called and spoke to someone else who said that Nicki was missing from her desk...how convenient. He said the order was canceled because of a listing error and that they are protected in that case because of a clause that states they are not responsible for listing errors. He very kindly offered to sell me the flash at a much higher rate. No thanks!!! Smells like a scam to me. "

"I ordered the Nikkor 35mm 1.8G lens on a Saturday and received it the next friday. I had to call to get a tracking number a few days later and was connected right away with their staff. They sent me the tracking number 15 mins later. I have no complaints with how the order went."

"I ordered a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash + Deluxe Accessory Kit from Digital Foto Club through Buy.com and received all the contents except for the flash cord. The package said it was for Canon, but the item, which can be clearly seen, said it was for Nikon.

I emailed Digital Foto Club about the problem and within 24 hours, I received an email from them telling me they're "sorry for the inconveninence" and would ship me the "correct flash cord" for free. I received the package today (9/15/09) and sure enough, Digital Foto Club made the same mistake. I don't see how difficult it is to send me the correct item, considering the package isn't sealed and can be easily swapped out with the right item. Even worse is that I'm scheduled to go overseas within a few days and now I have to go buy a flash cord several miles away for several dollars more than what it's worth.

Bottom line, be careful what you pay for cuz if you get the wrong item, it's gonna be a royal pain to get the right one. Stick with an online retailer that has an excellent reputation.

"Horrible! go somewhere else! refused to ship my item because my shipping address differed from billing. Person who called and told me this (nat) was extremely rude and hung up on me.

I know the concern about shipping to something other then billing address but the way they handled it was unprofessional and rude. They could of at least told me that when i ordered with them over the phone..

"I originally purchased a RepairTech camera warranty from this company back in 2007. That went well, until the warranty company went out of business for poor business practices. I contacted the Digital Foto Club about the situation and they said they could honor the warranty themselves by servicing my camera for me. Sounded great! Until...
I mailed my camera to them for a cleaning in November. I waited. And waited. And waited to hear back from them. I finally got in touch with them 3 months later. They told me the camera had been sent to Fuji because they could not clean it "in-house" as they told me they would. Instead I would have to pay $80 to have it repaired. I regretfully agreed. Then it got worse...
I waited again. And waited. And waited. Another three months go by and I finally receive my camera back in the mail. Only it's not repaired. In fact, it's in worse condition than it was when I mailed it in for repairs! So I contacted the Digital Foto Club, assuming they would right this horrible wrong somehow. Some kind of compensation for this terrible ordeal. But alas...nothing. They would not do anything for me.
So, I'm really not sure what to think. They seemed like a decent company at first, but after my experience I would describe them as rather deceitful. I do not plan on doing business with this company again, and would advise anyone else to be weary of their practices.

"Bought a microphone kit through Buy.com's Marketplace from Focus, the kit has multiple items. A week later the item arrived, but the kit was incomplete. I called and got someone on the phone very quickly (no more than 1 minute). They were accountable and friendly, and apologized for the erroneous listing (they were selling the microphone, not the kit). They offered me choices to either ship it back (at their cost) or drop the already low price even further and let me keep it. I chose the latter, and got an insane deal, I could get the rest of the stuff elsewhere. I am quite pleased with the experience, even though a mistake was made. And by this time (24 hours later), they have already corrected their Buy.com Marketplace listing."

"I found a very low priced Tamron 90mmm Di lens on ebay and I liked the package and the price, but I wanted to change the " off brand" name filter to "brand name." So I called sales to answer all my questions and did not feel pushed to buy anything extra. I called several times and everytime someone picked up the phone without delay. The package came today and I thought some thing was wrong because I could not AF so I called there was no problem for them to pay for return, but fortunately I found out it was my fault and there was nothing wrong with the lens. I highly recommend this seller. They also have a very good rating on ebay."

"FRAUD ALERT.
I ordered about $100 worth of camera equipt from them. I received my order OK. about a month later I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card. I am sure it came from digital foto club, because it was a one time use card. they had no way of knowing this. my bank stopped the charge, so I did not loose any money, but it seems that this is not the first time they have done this (search online info). either they are crooks, or have someone in their order dept that steals credit card numbers. be warned, you DO NOT want to risk it and shop with them.

"Bought a Canon lens via "Buy.com." Sales price with shipping was $1701.20.
Checked my credit card bill and they charged me $40 for shipping and billed me for $1739! I called Customer Service(Focus Camera and AcePhoto&Digital) and thye said they would correct bill with faxed buy.com invoice.
They didNOT and billed me the $1740 anyway. They now will not answer Customer Service phone or respond to eamils.
DoNot EVER buy from these scam artists!

"I had an excellent on-line shopping experience with DigitalFotoClub.com. Finding the camera bag I wanted on their site was quick and easy. I chose to call and place my order by phone because I wanted to use two VISA gift cards I had received. DFC gave me no trouble taking my payment in this manner. I orderd Monday afternoon and received the bag on Friday.

I would definitely shop at DigitalFotoClub.com again.

"I wanted to write a review because there are shady dealers out there and these people are not one of them.

My interactions with digital foto club have been very good. They shipped promptly at the advertised prices with no upselling or other tedious things.

I had to return 2 lenses that had a slight centering problems (not at all unusual) and they sent new lenses in exchange at no cost to me. No fuss.

I referred a friend to them and he also had a good experience.

In short, they were honest straight-forward people to do business with.

"Ordered Giottos Aegis Multicoated Professional Glass LCD Screen Protector for The Canon EOS-40D. Web states shipping within 24-48 hours. I send them a email on 17th asking what about my order which has not arrived-no response. I call them on the 22nd and ask about my order and they tell me it has shipped on the 11th and is in Denver right now in transit. I live in AZ. I ask them to cancel the order and refund my money. They state that if I want I can request an RMA when it arrives. On the 22nd I get an answer to my early email with tracking information and status. I paid through PayPal and so file a dispute for my money back-file claim. BIG MISTAKE USING PAYPAL-PayPal replies to my dispute that the vendor informed them that item is in transit and PayPal states that I must wait until it arrives before they make any decision to refund my payment-PayPal also sends me tracking info. So I guess I'm stuck here. I would stay away from Digital Foto Discount Club. I would use your credit card to order and stay away from PayPal as well.

"Digital Foto Club is not an authorized Kalorik dealer. The item shipped to me was defective out of the box and they would not allow it to be returned to them for a replacement.

Kalorik has been unable to process the warranty replacement in the 30 days since the item was returned to them.

Do not purchase Kalorik products from this store.

FRAUD ALERT:
The credit card that I used to make this purchase was fraudulently charged by three other websites!
